I've got the Air 3 and I'm very impressed with that I wonder if they'll just bring out the drone without the controller because I've already got the controller
@@Geeksvana They havent released a Mini 4 Pro on its own to date this will likely be the same , unfortunate as my friend lost his Mini 4 Pro over the sea , he has the RC2 but can't find a stand alone Mini 4 Pro , he is now thinking to buy this Air 3S with the N3 and use his RC2 from the mini instead .
HAD AIR 2 AND AIR 2S for years since 2024 in Ireland changed over to mini 3 pro because I would have to spend tons on courses to fly it legally. So from now im staying with the mini, wounder will they look at mini 5 ?
Hey Chris! So many people have done the same and fly the Mini drones now. I think there will be a Mini 5 at some point but it will be late next year at a minimum. I suppose the 4 is selling well and has a good spec level to keep us happy in the meantime.
Oh really? I wonder where the issues are. So far, I have found it to perform very well but I am not a professional photographer etc, so perhaps others putting it under more pressure are finding more.
Good News is the 50MP is native, ie, true or effective pixels and not derived via the QBF Technology like previous 12MP/48MP setups. Very tempted but, practically, will wait until next year for the M5P. Thanks for the Great Review.
Great information, any news on the rc pocket type controller. I was really hoping for a Skydio beacon style accessory to go with this. Then I could move that on and not have to worry about crashing it (or it crashing itself)
Thanks! Nothing to report on the beacon style device. Although if it is similar to the Skydio version, it won't be legal in the UK. Unless DJI work some of their usual magic of course!
So, in your opinion, you would say that it is an upgrade from the air 3… I currently have the mini 4 pro, would you say it is an upgrade from that? Your opinion is appreciated!!
Hey! I think it depends on a few factors. Firstly, in terms of an upgrade from the Air 3, I think the 3S is a significant jump but not an absolute ‘must’ upgrade. The 1 inch sensor and LiDAR add a lot of benefits and it really is a great new drone. However, as someone who has both drones, I would be perfectly happy with the Air 3 too. The Mini 4 Pro is a different case. Although the camera on the Air 3S is far superior and there are lots of benefits such as improved VLOS, you have the issue in the UK of where you can fly the two drones. The Mini 4 is of course able to fly pretty much anywhere with no separation but the Air 3S needs 50m from uninvolved people, so it does hold the drone back. If you are not in the UK/EU and somewhere like the USA, then the upgrade from the Mini 4 Pro to the Air 3S is certainly a worthwhile one! Hope this helps.
@@Geeksvana that definitely helps! I am in the United States so from what I’m gathering is you think it is a very nice upgrade. I think I plan on keeping both for different uses… thank you for the detailed response
@@Geeksvana That's awesome! I didn't know that. Very cool! Kelly has that infectious positive vibe, and it feels like everything will turn out fine. Lol 👊
This is all great but until we sign off on C ratings, ideally to the same specs as EASA we are stuck with 50m separation still and its a right ballache
Hey! Hope you are well. I find carrying this and a Mini works well. Then I can used whichever gives me the clearance on the day. It needs to happen though, they already accepted C label drones as safe, so the process should be simple! (Famous last words with the regulator).
The colors blend very nicely, and the color palette seems to have been tweaked, optimized, I find it very pleasing.I own the air 3 s and the mavic 3 and depending from the light i prefer one or the other, pure matter of taste .Dji did a great job with the camera when light is low the 3 s is better then my old air 3 .The body as before is a great flying machine , what a pity that in europe the max speed is reduced to 19 meters per second while in the us is 27.Compared to my old mavic 2 pro with the first Hasselblad the colors are way more pleasent not to talk about night and twighlight colors. We are getting a bit closer to the great colors of a reflex or a mirrorless , like cell phones drones are slowly improving the results of their tiny cameras. If you remember the old dji phantom 2 the difference is enormous .
I have an Air 3S FM package. Although the bag is of good quality it's way too small. It should have been at least another inch in L,W and H to accommodate other items especially a charger. Bought a hard case for the Air 3S and use the bag to hold my Neo and its other components.
Of course you can. There is no restriction in EU . The same rules applies for day or night fly ( you must have licence - online courses/ exam & register drone at this weight)
Tough choice isn’t it. If the Air 3S has specs like this, the Mavic 4 should be a beast! I am not sure that it is coming as quickly as some people seem to predict but should certainly be next year.
Ordered my Flymore but unfortunately before I watched and seen the link for the free care refresh offer , bummer . can I ask is the UK store owned or run by DJI or is it independant ? , I have bought from them before without any issue . cheers m8
Hey! It is owned by a UK company who hold the licence from DJI. Good group of people. They have the stores in Birmingham and London as well as dji-retail.co.uk
question: if you order from DJI website , are they shipping from China or is it in America? reason i ask is because i ordered myne early this morning and its already shipped! Great show by the way :)
Thanks for the kind feedback! It does depend on a few things. In terms of USA, I understand there was a set level of stock in the country and those early purchases got very short delivery promises. Then the next wave are waiting for November delivery. So if you ordered early and it has shipped, I would say you are one of the lucky ones to get in country stock. Enjoy the drone!!
I wish the CAA would allow this to be flown with as little restriction as the Mini series without extra qualifications , how safe can a drone be with all the safety features this new drone has ? , I mean RTH with no GPS and Lidar !, who would ever have thought a couple years back that these features would be added to a consumer drone 😁
Southampton Police have an automatic drone deployment system on the roof of the cop shop. They call it a first response unit. It was on crime watch live a few weeks ago, iirc it was one of the DJI Mavic series... Being automatic, I wonder how the drone gets recharged. 😜
Hey! It is an expensive hobby/profession isn’t it. We were lucky to have this one sent to us. I hopped off the buy every drone train a good while ago, as it was just too expensive. They release a good amount of models these days too!
Watch our DJI Air 3S vs UK drone rules video? I wanted to see how screwed UK users are, I know US pilots are into $500 for licensing, registrations, training, testing not counting the price of a drone... Time wise, weeks worth along with the frustration factor dealing with oxymoron rules made by people building kingdoms, the FAA.
@Geeksvana I'm good, hope you all are too. It's a foregone conclusion il pick one up now I'm sure my existing Air 3 batteries will work. If it works with the RC2 even better. The cheaper package is a nice upgrade path in that case.

Just bought mine with the affiliate link. The inclusive Care Refresh is a HUGE bonus! Thanks guys! ❤️
Amazing! Thank you as it also means more to charity too! Enjoy the drone!!

It would be a popular move. They seem to have provided it with other models, although no news so far. Fingers crossed 🤞

@uptowndisco2 VERY good point on the Mini 4... Good idea for the Air 3S though. Could be the best move for him.

Just purchased, thanks for the care refresh
Fantastic! It was a great offer from DJI Hasselblad. Glad we could help our audience a little.
Cracking video Sean - had to press order should arrive tomorrow

Good jam, good vid!

Great review, thanks. Does it have ADSB?
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. No, Airsense seems to have been dropped on the 3S. Checked the spec sheet and not mentioned there either.
@@Geeksvana I haven’t flown my Air 3S yet but I’ve just updated the firmware and Airsense is in there, so I selected it.

Thanks for the video and info on the DJI AIR3, I love flying at night, and this looks great. Thanks for the video and info.
Thank you, sir! Hope you are well.
Will my current RC 2 controller work with the Air 3S?
Yes, it will. Air 3 batteries also work in the new 3S.

No problem. Yes, in your case it is 100% worth the upgrade. I always fly the 3/3S rather than my Mini 4 whenever I can.
@@Geeksvana awesome! Thank you!! 🙏🏻

It comes in at 724g. Although there is hope that the UK CAA will allow C1 use next year...

Yes you can . Buy a strobe light (Firehouse technology) or similar just to be safe
Of course you can. There is no restriction in EU . The same rules applies for day or night fly ( you must have licence - online courses/ exam & register drone at this weight)
You can! A green flashing light is required so people can identify it as a drone but the Air 3S has those built in, which is handy.
I really loved that circus shot Sean.
