For a little more harmonica you could try the bluesy “You Shook Me” or the rock song “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”. Led Zeppelin isn’t just music, it’s a way of life!

"Bring It On Home" by Led Zeppelin is from Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home to Me" (1962). You take a Blues tune, decibelise it, and rockify it a bit- bingo mighty Zep! Fun to see you enjoy your way through this one, King... lots more on tap. You mighty like their update of Blind Willie Johnson (1927) who wrote "Nobody's Fault But Mine" (Zep used the same title) who also wrote "Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed" which Zep remade as "In My Time of Dying"- both GREAT Blues Rock. Peace from Canada.

A rocked up old blues song.
Best job of it ever. Hard to switch from blues to machine-gun nest rock.

Yes, that was a harmonica played by singer Robert Plant. This is a re-working of a blues song recorded by Sonny Boy Williamson and written by Willie Dixon. I'm glad to see you're becoming a fan! If you want the full journey, start at the beginning and go in album/track order - you will not be disappointed. The first song off their first album is called Good Times Bad Times. Start there and they will take you places.

One of the hallmarks of Led Zeppelin songs is what I call the "Led Zeppelin crunch", often their slower songs explode in much the same way as this one did. A couple of good examples are "In My Time of Dying" and "The Rain Song". Jimmy Page is a genius at taking a song in unexpected directions and keeping it interesting. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

I had all of their albums back then. They sold the second most albums by a rock group with just 108 songs recorded. Second only to The Beatles who recorded 213 songs to be at number one. Of Zeppelin's 108 songs, you may find you love 100 to 104 of them. Zeppelin's drummer is John (Bonzo) Bonham. He's the best...ask any rock drummer, and the majority of them will agree; Bonzo is best.
