This is an EXCELLENT and much needed video! I've been wondering how to BIBLICALLY fast, as I do fast for health reasons, but would much rather please God, secretly. I was just starting my investigation into fasting in The Bible and this video popped up! Thank you for the head start!
Fasting is separating from every human natural source of life itself to seek supernatural reward we cannot produce. An act of pure faith.
Thank you. I am encouraged, challenged, and convicted that I need to include fasting more often and more purposefully in my walk with the Lord.

As a retired nurse I will add that this is something that needs to be approached with care. There are many who have medical issues, and are on various medications. And so truly responsible fasting will take all of this into account as we proceed to seek the Lord’s favor.
These questions have come to my own mind as I have begun to think about how I will approach fasting. Truly our fasting should reflect the wisdom that God gives to us.
I have written a book for myself to motivate me to keep going when i fast and see the progress of how much longer i could fast for the Lord. I usually fast when i have sinned or recognize ive had more concern for my body than God or spiritual needs. I fast to seek the God for strength to overcome my flesh and sinful desires that may have begun to build up and to draw closer to Him again.
But i don't know anyone who fasts, even church leaders in my family don't and didn't. And i try to keep it a secret, and sometimes they get mad when they offer food to me but i don't accept it because i am fasting.
It's like fasting is foreign to every chapel ive been to and every Christian I've met. But it has helped me many times to fast.
@@vaxtestsmarkofbeast436 God showed me the times we live in when i was 10 years old. I saw Covid, people wearing masks, John MacArthur's church being attacked by government, pastors arrested, lil nas x devil shoes, etc. Demons even possessed me long ago and showed new i could join the freemasons that control governments of the world and i could help make way for the antichrist. I rejected their offer and ran to Christ for help. Jesus saved me and casted them out. So i know what's going on and what to do before barely anyone else knew over a decade ago. I don't know why the Lord exactly wanted me to see all that other than to be amazed and give Him praise for showing me what was so hard to believe could be real actually has become true. That's why i keep telling people the rapture isn't just yet because by what God showed me, more things are supposed to happen at least in my life before then. I only go to chapels when God commands me to. I have always been kicked out of them because of being bold, honest, sharing my testimony, speaking more deeply about christ than their pastors do, having my own sin and rather than them encouraging me or helping they try to get rid of me. But throughout that, God sent me to chapels to show other Christians the truth, how wicked their pastors are, to meet the woman i married, to fellowship with other Christians, to show me more how to be like Christ, to go through trials, etc. The chapel's haven't been a help on their part, but usually those who claim to be Christians are the ones who persecute me. Ive had more satanist and Buddhist offer me food and a place to stay when i was homeless in a trial than those who claim to be Christian. But i just think our country is surrounded by false Christians.
But i honestly don't have any questions other than what would require a supernatural answer. God has answered all my questions throughout the years. But if i do have any, I'll ask you if i remember you here.

@@vaxtestsmarkofbeast436 the adenovirus is what they put in at least some of the vaccines for covid. This virus is known to cause at least 50 or more effects, and they're mostly respiratory related. This virus, when it gets into the human body it can even become a life-threatening to those with weak immune systems. And this is why the government has wanted us to constantly sanitize everything and ourselves, also two separate us from people with lockdowns and not letting many people around each other so that our bodies do not come in contact with as many germs as usual. You may know this, but if your body does not come in contact with germs then your immune system is not fighting, and if your immune system is not fighting then it is getting weaker. After about a year or two of constantly sanitizing everything and staying away from germs, people's bodies have weakened immune systems now, in that case it's time to roll out the vaccine and as time will progress on it'll become more mandatory, and for those who have obeyed the government, the more you sanitize and stayed away from germs the week of your immune system is therefore in taking the vaccine you're more likely to die than someone who did not sanitize themselves and stay away from people. If you have a good immune system you're likely to gain one or more of the side effects from the vaccine which there's at least 50 to be known. In many of these effects can affect many different parts of your body that may be weak and simply the virus could just cause an even bigger problem in that part of your body that already has issues. Basically, The Satanists who run everything under Satan, they are convinced that by technology that when the Antichrist begins to have all power over this world and the Christians are no longer here, that those who have been serving Satan all this time, that they will be able to be made immortal. So for thousands of years now they've just been using humans as slaves to do all the hard work for them while they do deeper studies and rituals and are more occupied with the greater things that take a long time and a lot of effort to bring about their cause. So now that they realize they got everything they need and everything they want and they finally have dumb down most the world except those who know Jesus Christ, now they just need to kill off the majority of the world. The vaccine is mainly just a way to stick something dangerous into your body and once they got everybody in the world vaccinated a lot of those people are going to die in the future, a huge majority of them even at once. They'll even show you in their plans that they plan to decrease the population. Likely from what the Georgia Guidestones say they need to bring down the human population to 500 million. After all if you have found a way to control the world with just technology to make your food and build your houses and things like that where you don't need really human slaves anymore because you have technology to make a robot even more intelligent and smarter than the human being, then you don't want all these stupid people lying around taking up space on your planet that you plan to be on forever. So it's actually quite ironic that people are trying to protect themselves from a virus of taking away their life, and what they are actually doing is putting a virus in their body they're actually will take their life in time

-An empowering of spiritual gifts
-Victory over a stubborn sin or demon that won't go away
-Victory over the devil/the enemy
-Greater faith
-Greater love
-Greater fruitfulness
-Spiritual guidance
-Overcoming being stalled, stagnant, lazy, or having fallen asleep
Those are things that really matter in eternity that we should be praying and fasting for...

To all my brothers and sisters in Christ:
In my experience this teaching isn't really emphasized many churches today:
"No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God." -1 John 3:9
It's not works that save you, but a kind of faith that will produce works. John 10 says that the sheep of Jesus know His voice and FOLLOW Him.
Hebrews 3 makes it clear that the early Israelites could not enter the promise land because of "unbelief" which the chapter describes as disobedience (so obedience to God/Jesus go hand-in-hand with believing).
Remember also, Jesus is both our Savior and our Lord. Lord = master, so when you read passages like: "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. " -Romans 10:9
...there is no contradiction. Lord = master, and if we confess truly that Jesus is our master, we obey our masters.
This information today us NOT made clear in every church. Many I have heard say that we can't mention works in relation to salvation, but it's by our works that others know we are walking in faith, James says: "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him" -James 2:14
And finally, we are called to examine ourselves each day to make sure we are walking in the faith. -2 Corinthians 13:5
And of course, our sins from the past are forgiven and so too are sins we make mistakenly. However, the Bible says that habitual and unrepentant sinning is not forgiven. Hebrews 10:26-27:
"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries."
God be with you in this journey - this life is but a testing ground. Jesus is coming soon.
“Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth, The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth, Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.’ Zech 8:19
Should this verse incline one to think that fasting in the Old Testament context is to be abolished in these Gospel times? This verse basically says the fasts will become feasts. I never knew of anyone in the NT who wore sackcloth for instance (of course, except for the two witnesses in Revelation, but I dare say that is entirely figurative).
Regarding the argument that it is everywhere (which I believe is rather an exaggeration; the NT examples are far fewer than OT, and it is certainly not in every NT epistle--nor is there any such explicit command to fast in the NT), the same argument can be said for the Sabbath as well; there are those who insist we keep the Sabbath (in its abstaining from work aspect and more) and yet they will admit it is not to be kept in its OT form, but rather on Sunday.
Nonetheless personally my conviction is that the heart of fasting is an afflicting and humbling of one's self--and this necessary need not be limited to food or drink nor is total abstinence from such required. Regardless one certainly should not use the outward observance as a mark of an individual's spirituality.
I’m the New Testament why does it state to fast for 3 days with no food or water ? If one word of the bible shall not come to pass until all is fulfilled then surely that also has to be done. What they wanted with the Jesus of Nazareth? I’m interested .
What verse are referring to that commands believers to, "fast for 3 days with no food or water"?

And here is a little of my testimony and reading of the New Testament. Something lead me in the first lockdown to a river near where I live to meet new people who were all very strong in scripture and belief as I was unaware but something lead me there to get baptised they then worked with me in what’sapp groups and kept coming through 3 door ways and kept changing the people in the group to continue to speak with me I was then hated rejected followed mocked laughed and even spat at. As I was reading the New Testament I was drawn to your number is 33 my age is 33 I was then fascinated with fasting also the parts where it states about a person who barely studied but you’d be surprised at his teaching. To the parts the lord is the lord of the sabbath. One Saturday I picked up the bible and ready John at around 6pm. They shall make war against the lamb but the lamb will over come them because he is lord of lord king of kings.
Also 110 and 111 psalms. The book truly came alive even to the part of a women spending her money on a home It’s just all surreal . Today I’ve read about the Passover and the special sabbath. But I’ve came across verses that state about fasting and also you shall not eat or drink. This is a house of prayer and not a den of thief’s

Chapter John is very powerful I believe greater is he that is in us and not of the world. My Christian friends say I hold a very powerful testimony of God. I just don’t have great understanding.
Well there is a difference between fasting and just going without food. When the believer is fasting they are determined not to eat for a purpose of specifically seeking the Lord. The passage does not clearly indicate that this is the motive behind them being without food but that they just were without food due to circumstances.
@@illbehonest thank you for your reply and giving me understanding as I’m still learning scripture. We are one body of Christ and believing in his name that we are saved by grace and that’s not of works that no man should boast it is a free gift from God. So in the New Testament what is it with the mystery of the prostitute that rides the beast ? The beast is and was and is to come ? I try my best to understand. I think it was somewhere in Mathew it states your number is 33. What is it with that number ? Didn’t Christ die at 33? And the part in John where it states he shall lift his head and tell people how he should die. Also I don’t believe people will be left behind as it states the sun shall go into 3 days of darkness so without no sun light in the world every human would then notice clearly and is that when every knee shall bow and confess that it’s the lord. But then it does state my lord says to my lord ? Why would the bible continue to go on about one main person being the Jesus of Nazareth what did they want with him ? Sorry for so many questions but you have great understanding of the scripture and I’m very appreciative to learn more and more. Thank you.
When you fast fits with when the bridegrrom comes then they will fast! Are not secret prayer and fasting keys to having Oil in lamp so not soon hearing depart idku who practice iniquities? If HIRELINGS are liars and THIEVES isn't it more honest to identify them as practicing iniquities?
