Another convicting message by you Brother Timothy....I must be ready for radical change in my walk with Christ....finally the teacher has appeared to expose those areas of my life that have gotten too comfortable, too satisfied and too self sufficient. I have dealt mostly with needing to seek humility in my walk with Christ and it always requires me to be broken first always at the point I think I have surrendered all he exposes something I took so much for granted so long I did not recognize it to be a problem in my life. Blessing to all through this week. I cannot wait for the work GOD plans to do in me..

Great message! Way to put it in perspective! I would definitely appreciate prayers as I struggle with lust and have been tempted to go back to sin lately. I also thank God for what He’s already done in me to draw me to Himself and away from sin.
Realizing that Jesus has the words of eternal life - This is grace. We're already called then we receive the words of God by his grace when we hear the words of eternal life. Qe cannot follow Jesus unless by the grace of God.

I was thinking about 2 passages today. One from Solomon:
"There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand:
the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a young woman.
(These were the amazing things to him)
And the following one from Job:
I made a covenant with my eyes
not to look lustfully at a young woman.
2 For what is our lot from God above,
our heritage from the Almighty on high?
3 Is it not ruin for the wicked,
disaster for those who do wrong?
4 Does he not see my ways
and count my every step?
5 “If I have walked with falsehood
or my foot has hurried after deceit
6 let God weigh me in honest scales
and he will know that I am blameless
7 if my steps have turned from the path,
if my heart has been led by my eyes,
or if my hands have been defiled,
8 then may others eat what I have sown,
and may my crops be uprooted.
9 “If my heart has been enticed by a woman,
or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door,
10 then may my wife grind another man’s grain,

And we know which one of these men ultimately died a fool. Solomon's thoughts were not on God, they were in the clouds with young women. The commitment a person has for Jesus can be seen in their marital commitments..Their faithfulness is towards God and that is reflected in their commitment to the oath and seriousness of that oath they made to God on that wedding day. A binding oath.
Maybe for a woman it's easier. I don't know. What I do know is that for me to look at another man is to say that man is better than Jesus. A man can give you a bouquet but Jesus has given us a world of of flowers. A man can give you time but Jesus has given us eternity. A man can give you his life but Jesus has given us His life, His death and His spirit. What mere mortal can compare? Being with my husband for 25 years I can tell you the past 6 with Christ in the center have been THE MOST incredible of our lives. This was a refreshing sermon. Many pastors are too wrapped up in their own conviction (or lack there of) towards lust that you rarely hear this topic deeply delved into.

One point of correction, regarding the statements at 11:34
The word "word" there is "logos" and does not mean "word" in the sense of vocabulary. It means "something said", but more exactly the word "logos" means "something laid forth" specifically referring to something said.
In English, we have an extremely similar word: "promise". The "pro" means "forth" and the "mise" means "set/put" so a promise is something set forth specifically referring to something said. We can equally say "I have given you my promise" or "I have given you my word" but in centuries past the connotation was more like "I have stated it" because our yes is to be yes and our no to be no and any more than that is sin. Over time, the word promise has been branded with a more specific connotation of being an oath, which is ironic given how it got to be that way.
In modern English, the correct translation of "logos" is "statement". Tracing the etymology back, we see that "state" means "setting" and is rooted in the idea of setting something in a place, and the "ment" simply means "the result thereof". So "statement", in English, means the result of setting something in place, specifically referring to something said. The word "statement" has the meaning, etymology, and connotation which make it the exact English translation of "logos". While, in English, we don't apply "statement" in the philosophical sense as Greeks would apply "logos", it is the same word and the difference is simply that, in Greek culture, they had a philosophical concept called "the Statement" which John declares became flesh being Jesus the Christ and dwelled among us.
All of that is easy to research and test, except for what I said about "mise" (in "promise") because that one took some digging, but I did find it.

You are incorrect on the matter that Jesus raised Himself from the dead. It is GOD FATHER and HIM THE SON that done it. You know what would help a lot with a lot of people.......... if wives and husbands would have intimacy more often. And actually give in to each other. As the Bible commands. I am a firm advocator of something called Catharsis. A release of emotions to help get rid of any future problems of something called lust. A husband or wife could be a "stumbling block" by refusing to give into their partner. As it damages a person psychologically and dampers their self esteem. It also doesn't help that society is facing something called Post Modernism. An idea that words and truth simply don't mean anything. How does this do with lust? For starters, if people don't know how to talk to each other, well, its a problem when people are trying to find suitable wives and husbands for each other. The courting process is lost amidst chaos. If I try to compliment a attractive person at church, I as a man, could get reprimanded for someone simply giving a compliment like I like your hair, while trying to engage in a social construct. A lot of people nowadays, tend to think you have ulterior motives, thinking that something bad will happen in the future, if I try to take them out on a proper date. And it doesn't help that technology and Feminism, has run rampant in churches, sheep being led astray in this thinking, has caused the good dating pool to all but vanish. For myself personally, If I would find a suitable wife, most of struggles when it comes to thinking about something like sex would dissipate. As it would satisfy what GOD had actually intended from the beginning. That man and woman would become one flesh and would obey the actual law. Its better to get married, then commit devastating crimes against GOD via fornication. But hey, I am just a man on the internet writing this, in hopes churches would actually push back against the Femini LBGTQIA NAZIS TIDE. And would actually do its bloody job and rebuke people, the way Jesus did.
What a load of nonsense, if your wife is refusing you sex then it's her problem, you have lots of options, pornography and masturbation is always a good substitute or you can hire a lady of the night occasionally, last option for you is to get a girlfriend, remember if there's no sex then there's no relationship.

Then you get remarried to someone else. Porn, Masturbation and adultery and fornication are all condemned by God. And for good reason.
