- The Pharisees were the religious leaders in Jesus' day and they were looked up to as a standard of righteousness. But Jesus came along and declared that these Pharisees are hypocrites who are going to hell. And then He points at us and tells us that our righteousness must exceed the hypocritical righteousness of the Pharisees. Does your righteousness consist of an external list of do's and don'ts, or has God given you a heart-righteousness?

Our righteousness is CHRIST JESUS and no one else. All the Righteousness we need is HIS. Not our own , not no one , but HIS. HE is the one that gives it through HIS HOLY SPIRIT

Thanks very much alot to swallow and to learn ,watching from Jamaica .
In all' my years as a genuine Christian, I say that because many more years I spent as a 'Facsimile' of what I thought a Christian looked like...I have never been so blessed by good honest consistent preaching on what a true Christian is in the eyes of Jesus. I went to Presbyterian as a child then Lutheran, Confirmed Anglican Episcopalian, finally to non denomination for 11 years and a word so watered down but lots of entertainment and offerings for activities but no Holy Spirit filled love for righteousness. Along the way GOD lead me to get out my KJV Bible and put away commentaries and read with the Holy Spirit. I searched out my Salvation in fear and trembling to discover I was not Born Again and never heard it from a pulpit...I am now. By circumstance GOD lead me to this ministry and I am so Blessed. Thank you LORD for all the refining and continuing to sanctify me Holy Spirit to help me be set apart and acceptable for Christ Jesus when He is ready for me. GOD Bless All and Armor UP Saints!

I would really hate to think that this is going unnoticed by GCC and IBH, or even worse, that it is being denied. Jesus said we cannot worship God and mammon, and this vaccine is causing us to decide. It fits the mark. And I see that John Hagee has already received it. Furthermore I mean the arrest and jailing of pastors in my hometown and province of Edmonton, Alberta.

Don't see how he can say this passage is about our own rightiosnes because verse 17 Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law, and verse 18 says it must be kept perfectly.
That’s why we need Jesus to be our righteousness. We need to have faith in Jesus while we try to remain good and live godly.

There is a difference between the book of the law aka the law of Moses which came because of sin, meaning they couldn't keep gods law aka the ten commandments l, and the law of god which is the ten commandments. There is a difference. One is binding eternally and one was nailed to the cross with all the dogmas of the scribes and pharisees.
Jesus spoke this way because the law of god is to be kept 100 percent, not 9 commands and not 8 or 7 but all ten and you CANT change them as in the sabbath which has been changed because of the Roman Catholic churches anti reformation push to decieve the saints with terrible bible translations and horrible interpreting of scripture to make us think the lord's day is Sunday or the law was for the Jews or the sabbath was for the Jews or it doesn't matter what day we keep etc etc. God said remember for a reason. He blessed and sanctified the seventh day only.
Jesus spoke this way because he was truth. We don't speak this way because we are decieved and apostate and fallen from the truth because we received not a love of the truth thtlat we might be saved.
Romans 3:31 do we make void the law through faith? God forbid, yay we establish the law.

Why are we keeping Sunday?? Your stance had little to do with Godliness. It seemed more projective and biased. Two people gave you great examples as to why you should workout and boom you caved to exceptions. Why haven’t you donated more of your time and things, money? What benefit to others and pursuit of godliness does it serve? Not a lot. Any ways, do some better research before giving a biased talk.
