In this video we will visit a McDonald's in the city of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei to see just how different this menu is compared to other places in the world. You gotta ask for Ketchup at fastfood joints in Brunei, as by default we only dip with Chili sauce. Also, you must say Tomato Sauce, as Ketchup can sometimes be confused with "Kicap", which is Soy Sauce. Also Cakui is pronounced as Char-Koi 😊

Nasi lemak is not Brunei’s national dish; it’s Ambuyat. I hope you did get to try it during your stay.
It is also a hit and miss with McD’s anywhere in Brunei. Gadong branch is always the busiest because of its status as one of the busiest commercial areas. Best time to hit McD’s and get good service is off peak hours, peak hours in Brunei are 11:30am to 1:00pm and 4:30pm to 6:00pm.
And Brunei isn’t big on creating our own merchandise especially with franchises. We would if the company is local but it’s not easy finding one. That’s one reason I avoid buying merch from franchises.
When in Brunei. I go to Sugarbun or Jollibee.

It's very popular in Brunei. Everyone adds them on pastries and baked goods. My Biscoff cookie is the best seller😂😂

As a Bruneian, you would have loved Express honestly.
Not a lot of foreigners know about it which I can't blame you but it is owned by the Royals themselves, yes no kidding, a fast food restaurant chain owned by them. However, even if it is fast food, it is absolutely top tier and the best fast food that you can get in Brunei for sure.
The meat is even the same one they used for Royal Brunei Airlines's airplane meals so you know that it is high quality for what it is.
Ideal and Ayamku are delicious too!!

However, KFC chicken taste more absolutely stunning when it is very fresh like around early after they open.

I'm a Bruneian andd yeah idk what to say but McDonalds in Brunei has a lot of diff menu and stuff so yeah👍 btw 'cakoi' is pronounced like 'cha-koi'. Unfortunately, McDonalds in Brunei sometimes messes up ur order. I have experienced that b4-😭👍

The cakoi (pronounced as CHA KOI) should come with a chocolate sauce since you requested for chocolate toppings. The McD worker must have messed up your order. I've tasted the cakoi and with chocolate dip, I taste great. Just the cakoi, it's tasteless. LOL

the fish nuggets come from the COVID time where beef and chicken were difficult to import due to Halal authorities doing virtually nothing to ensure supply of goods and instead peacocking around telling people they were doing a good job. Seeing them only adds trauma to Bruneians.
