You gotta ask for Ketchup at fastfood joints in Brunei, as by default we only dip with Chili sauce. Also, you must say Tomato Sauce, as Ketchup can sometimes be confused with "Kicap", which is Soy Sauce. Also Cakui is pronounced as Char-Koi 😊
As a Bruneian, you would have loved Express honestly. Not a lot of foreigners know about it which I can't blame you but it is owned by the Royals themselves, yes no kidding, a fast food restaurant chain owned by them. However, even if it is fast food, it is absolutely top tier and the best fast food that you can get in Brunei for sure. The meat is even the same one they used for Royal Brunei Airlines's airplane meals so you know that it is high quality for what it is.
@@DheyShortsGamer229 To be honest, I never had their chicken because I rather go to KFC for that despite not being a fan of chicken in the first place. However, KFC chicken taste more absolutely stunning when it is very fresh like around early after they open.

Nasi lemak is not Brunei’s national dish; it’s Ambuyat. I hope you did get to try it during your stay. It is also a hit and miss with McD’s anywhere in Brunei. Gadong branch is always the busiest because of its status as one of the busiest commercial areas. Best time to hit McD’s and get good service is off peak hours, peak hours in Brunei are 11:30am to 1:00pm and 4:30pm to 6:00pm. And Brunei isn’t big on creating our own merchandise especially with franchises. We would if the company is local but it’s not easy finding one. That’s one reason I avoid buying merch from franchises.
The cakoi at McD usually comes with kaya doesn’t it?! Sad you missed out on that! Also, McD porridge is awesome so I was bummed you skipped it lol McD also had w Prawn Laksa Burger special last year which was AMAZING.. thanks for visiting Brunei!
i am a bruneian and i have to sadly admit that McD here often messes up my order lol buuut out of all the french fries i have eaten here...McD will always be my top favourite...especially when they are freshly fried...and by the way it is pronounced Cha-Koy hihihi so glad you enjoyed your time here...
I would love to relocate to Brunei with my family (girlfriend and our 5 year old daughter). Can someone shed some light on the process and if it is easy to stay there? Can I get a temporary residence permit if I buy a house / apartment in Brunei? We are from Portugal.

Bro that Brunei hotel advertisement when you were making the kissing sound on your fingers, had me in tears 😂 how long did you practise that bro? Hahaha got me in tears!! 3:01
The cakoi (pronounced as CHA KOI) should come with a chocolate sauce since you requested for chocolate toppings. The McD worker must have messed up your order. I've tasted the cakoi and with chocolate dip, I taste great. Just the cakoi, it's tasteless. LOL
yea sama lah hahahaha , i thought indonesian is not malay? XD i mean we speak similar language but you guys are known to be still indonesian, org melayu is different @@Kane_2001
@@qawiemmt Probably because Indonesia is mainly Javanese? Malays as an ethnic group in Indonesia comes third with 6.9 million (nice), with the Sundanese coming in second. But they would never identify themselves as "Malay", probably would identify themselves as just Indonesians. Same thing happened with the "Chindos" Chinese-Indonesians. IDK man, Indonesia is weird sometimes.
