I can't believe somebody else had the same issue I did. My dad has an old work computer of this exact model. I used to use it to play a bunch of hand me down discs from my grandparents that they has when they got their first PC (After Dark Games, NFS Porsche, etc.). I tried connecting it to the internet once (I don't remember why) but I was so excited when I got it to work. However, as we both discovered, it COMPLETELY resets the wifi. I think this is also the tutorial I used! I haven't connected it since, due to avoiding viruses and such, but still interesting to see that someone went through the same dilemma I did when I was 12.

windows 11 should run on your laptop if you disable the tpm 2.0/4gb ram check when making a bootable usb with rufus. also, there are mods like optifine which give you a ton of extra performance settings to mess around with :)
@MajorShadow01 not necessarily, windows 10 and 11 are similar enough to where if your cpu supports and runs 10 fine enough 11 shouldn't be an issue unless you have a single-core cpu, mechanical hard drive and less than 8gb of ram

You can just borrow a newer LGA 775-based desktop with a desktop Core 2 Duo and a decent enough GPU and RAM with at least 2-4 gigs and you will be able to run anything just fine
Why do most people still use the regular mc launcher? Multi mc, prism, which are both the same thing and works better and can configure things so much easier. And theres others as well.
Bro it has a Core 2 Duo on it. It supports 64 bit OS’es already and XP is lacking x64. Try to install windows 7 or 64 bit edition of xp. Running a 32 bit os will limit your CPU’s capabilities and it won’t be able to recognize more than 3.25gb ram. I see you’ve T7500, which is the CPU I’ve on my Sony Vaio laptop runs Windows 10 and I can play 1.16.5 without any lags (that also depends on the gpu yk)
You could've used classicube instead of normal minecraft since its a classic revival of it and doesnt have much stuff hungry resource like og minecraft. you can press f for fog the more u have the more fps.

There is a launcher you can used called OLauncher it is a older version of the Minecraft with the latest versions of Minecraft added in and I’m pretty sure OptiFine can run on windows XP your CPU is 64 but if I’m not mistaken (Edit I just realized that he did use OptiFine still cool though)

You can still go way slower. I have a Windows XP netbook with an Intel Atom N270, 1 GB RAM, 180 GB of HDD, Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics, and performance comparable to a Pentium 3 PC with a terrible video card. It runs Minecraft at 10-20 FPS on minimum settings.
I have a D630. I'd say it's fine for browsing, but it has no webcam and the speakers are ass. It has a windows 7 product key on it so I can upgrade it to 10 but i'd rather keep it with 7 because 7 > 10.
