I walked downstairs one day and saw a CD just sitting there. I asked my family who it belonged to and they had no idea. So I grabbed it and loaded it onto my Xbox 360. I've been a fan ever since
Saw Prong in Germany I. m gonna say the rude Awakening tour, they played in an unfinished nuclear reactor, fucking bad ass, their bass speakers were so loud that Everytime he hit a note your hair would fly back and half of your face too, All Hail PRONG
I remember when their debut album hit. No one else sounded like these guys. The guy who introduced me to them didn't even like metal but he took a chance and bought their album. Still listening all these years later and their sound hasn't felt dated once.
Prong's Cleansing CD has a permanent home in my car's CD changer...... Prong's music never gets old.....you're not a true metal fan unless you have Cleansing in your rotation of music.....just sayin
I graduated High School, here in the USA, the year this came out. I'm getting close to having picked up the pieces and doing something with them. Thanks for the nudge this song and Prong gave me back then. It's never too late to pick them up.
It kills me that this awesome band never got the props it deserved. Prong was mixing crunchy guitars with industrial drum beats WAY before it was the cool thing to do. Btw, if yer uninitiated. Cleansing is the Prong album to own.
+riffgroove Agreed, I'm a long time fan, one of the few bands of which I've never grown tired. Rude Awakening is a fantastic album too and is a close second to Cleansing in my book, but different just like every Prong album. New album X-No Absolutes out Feb 5th!
+riffgroove u are dead on riff. prong is a band that never got the fame they deserved. I drove a 100 miles just to buy their first album. It was worth it.
That fucking surf caster is so damn sick. I love those guitars and it fits perfectly with Tommy’s style at the time. I loved this era and how he would dress with 70’s swag and made it heavy as fuck.
Oh I love you Tommy Victor singer of PRONG! 😎 I saw y'all in San Antonio last year & got a CD, photo with you 😉 I really love the lyrics to NO ABSOLUTE! Very talented and very unique. Come back to SAN Antonio please!
They just were always underrated, big time. They switched over to thrash metal or just metal now in 1990 with my fav album, Beg To Differ, before that they were a different kind of music and it wasn't to good, so maybe that's why they always were overlooked I really don't know but it's criminal.
instant classic , great riffs , great vocals , one of if not theyre best song , ya'll should check out the singers featuring with soulfly called lethal injection awesome stuff
This version absolutely kicks major CA$$H - It sounds like a remix - it is cooler, longer, more guitar pinch harmonics and more atmospheric than the version I remember on my copy of "CLEANSING" - major props to the remixer/producer
alot of prongs riffs sound easy to play but damnit its just not true. I dont someone that can chunk like he does what sounds backwards and off time and sing....not easy. got to meet Tommy and hang out for a little with him when my band opened the Testament/Prong show in Reno years ago. totally cool ass guy. saw him months later at N.A.M.M. and he remembered me. meant the world to me especially since my first band when I was like 17 we covered a Prong song Steady Decline. then 25 some years later I got to open for them and meet him. pretty cool for this fool will never forget it. thanks Tommy
Definitely their defining album. I like it way better than beg to differ. Anyone checked out carved into stone? The only one I've heard that rivals cleansing.
I walked downstairs one day and saw a CD just sitting there. I asked my family who it belonged to and they had no idea. So I grabbed it and loaded it onto my Xbox 360. I've been a fan ever since
Throughout my life, I always go back to Prong!
Saw Prong in Germany I. m gonna say the rude Awakening tour, they played in an unfinished nuclear reactor, fucking bad ass, their bass speakers were so loud that Everytime he hit a note your hair would

Monstruous riffs, Groovy bass, convincing singer and a talended drummer is what made Cleansing a timeless rock album. Definitly ahead of its time...
Helmet would like to have a word with you..
RIP Paul Craven
fuck yeah!
Terry Date
@@eternity8811 He was/is the man, for sure. I know that he did this album, four of Pantera's albums, and Dark Angel's Time Does Not Heal.
this is so hardcore...one of the most underrated bands ever
Cleansing is Prong's Masterpiece. Broken Peace, Snap Your Fingers...Cut Rate, Another Worldly Device, so many killer tracks on here.
His new shit is absolutely killer, so I can't agree with this statement. I think Victor's masterpiece will be his whole catalog.
Can't forget - no questions
I loved Cleansing. In my opinion, it's Prong's best album
Underrated band!
Tommy Victor very talented guy.
I remember when their debut album hit. No one else sounded like these guys. The guy who introduced me to them didn't even like metal but he took a chance and bought their album. Still listening all these years later and their sound hasn't felt dated once.
One of the most heavy Bands ever.
But every time I listen to their music, they add such a good and positive mood to my heart & soul!
This sums up exactly how I feel about PRONG. Thanks for putting it into words for me!
Prong's Cleansing CD has a permanent home in my car's CD changer...... Prong's music never gets old.....you're not a true metal fan unless you have Cleansing in your rotation of music.....just sayin
Nine years after you made this statement, I’d totally agree!!
I can proudly say I've been spinning this album since it's release 🤘
Absofuckinglutely Right.

If you don't have Cleansing in at Home

I graduated High School, here in the USA, the year this came out. I'm getting close to having picked up the pieces and doing something with them. Thanks for the nudge this song and Prong gave me back then. It's never too late to pick them up.
Love the intro on this song!
Prong defy genre labels, every album is different but always has that unique Prong sound.
Our Band opened for them in this little club The Continental, in Buffalo NY! Tommy was the coolest dude!

Saw these guys in 2014 they opened for Overkill was a great show was the first time i saw Prong put on a good show
It kills me that this awesome band never got the props it deserved. Prong was mixing crunchy guitars with industrial drum beats WAY before it was the cool thing to do.

TrephineArtist Just got it today! 😆
+riffgroove u are dead on riff. prong is a band that never got the fame they deserved. I drove a 100 miles just to buy their first album. It was worth it.

Perfect production, perfect length, perfect instrumentation...fkn perfect!

@@phatmanxxxl indeed
prong and the clay people the most under rated bands of the 90's
The bass kicks my chest!!! I love you PRONG. Come to Argentina someday please!!
Right on....
🎶
Good tune !
That fucking surf caster is so damn sick. I love those guitars and it fits perfectly with Tommy’s style at the time. I loved this era and how he would dress with 70’s swag and made it heavy as fuck.

Awesome song from an incredible album by an amazing band. Looking forward to a new album from Tommy Victor & co.
Truth in lyrics and music videos.

Back with Prong, glad to be back.
Cleansing is awesome album
1994-Album Of The Year.
They just were always underrated, big time. They switched over to thrash metal or just metal now in 1990 with my fav album, Beg To Differ, before that they were a different kind of music and it wasn't to good, so maybe that's why they always were overlooked I really don't know but it's criminal.
25 years for the Cleansing!

pioneers of numetal!!
Merciless song.
Also this video version is produced and edited differently than the album version
Kids today can’t name the vegetables on the plates. Even the head
Greatest Prong album next to Beg to Differ
you are not nuts, for a nut. (Rude awakening completes their best trio for me).
Very underrated band
this mix is the best wow
Word, such tight, crisp production. Perfect for my ears.

PRONG is ALIVE!!!MTF
Heaviest 3 Piece Band🤘🤘🤘
Broken peace - every 90's cliché summed up in one song, IN A GOOD WAY. PRONG ROCKS!!
Tommy on guitar, Paul Raven on bass don't get enough attention for what they wrote/recorded during their era together
Live tomorrow night Atl. Can't wait
Want tell you, prong is defanetly God sound.

Groovy!
He sings exactly how he talks, is that good or bad? I always kinds dug these dudes.
Hahaha lll need to find an interview and see if thats true
Love this many years i record it on all my music devices.
Paul RAVEN is here!!!!!
Raven ❤️
they were huge at one point in time.
*Psycho 146 lvl) Great Band*
I am so confused as to how these guys weren't huge.
Prong's singer isn't as vocally strong as a lot of the more popular metal bands of that era.
wood 210 prong was much better than pantera and tommy victor sounds nothing like phil anselmo . 2 completely different vocalists .
They were to me.
I can't believe what I'm reading. Tommy is a beast. Totally unique and original.
lol they badd asss regardless.
why does this sound different to the studio version? The bass is mixed superbly
1994
Oh, You still alive? Me too. Gut❤
The opening riff sounded like U2 for like 4 seconds.
The intro reminded me of U2 song a riff from the edge anyone else agree
true
Prong Kicks Ass!!!!!!!
tsssssssss, no conocia su sonido y esta bien genial
RAVEN
reminds me most of a mix of godflesh and helmet but its fuckin prong!
