Isn't it ironic, how a band named Suicidal Tendencies Has probably helped more people to keep living, keep pushing on.. Can't judge a book by it's cover, huh?
This was my jam in early 90's when I was 13. As a girl in Connecticut, no one else listened to this but I watched a LOT of MTV and looking back it was cool they put this in rotation even if it was only at night Headbangers Ball. My father was a drummer and inspired by Ginger Baker so I grew up with lots of music and going to concerts anyhow and passing it on to my own daughter. She doesn't appreciate it now, just like I didn't at 8 years old, but she will. Or at least she'll be exposed to it.
You said You Tube. Ditto Man! Those fools are The way to perceive some serious issues inside where or what the issue is .The Country is going to be saved by " You Tube"... not the nature country the policymaker one. Good bad or indifferent. Love Them .
Yep me 2 i remember watching the video when it first came out ...i was in 7th grade... remember the juke box on tv .. i even ordered the song from that n recrded it on my VCR... OOOOO THE GOOD OL DAYS
This dudes got me through some rough times in my life. Cant feel anything but love for them. And The Art of Rebellion is such a beautiful, top quality album. Probably one of the most underrated metal albums ever
It's a good album but not as good as the previous 4 albums. They rose to stardom by their own accord and here they caved in to record company requests for more radio/MTV friendly songs. I'm sorry but every time I've seen ST live they were headlining an insane show with great opening bands. On this tour they were opening for Queensryche. LOL GTFO tickets were expensive compared with $15 in a club for 1.5hrs. Now it's $45 to see them for 30min? NA I'm out! Join the Army tour in 87 out on Long Island in a club called Sundance was the best ST show ever. If the place is rated for 1000 people 2000 were let in. It was hot! The humidity was dripping off of the ceiling back on to us. They played just about every song from the first two albums and the entire club was a mosh pit not just a circle pit in front of the stage.
Takes me back to 8th grade. Still kind of innocent, discovering tons of new heavy music, my whole life ahead of me. The Art Of Rebellion is one of the best albums of all time.
Yeah man, Art of Rebellion, NIN Downward Spiral and Bloody Kisses by Type o Negative are the best 90s records, Art of Rebellion feels like the perfect album with tons of diversity, no filler and without compromising on heaviness. It shits on stuff like the Black album from Jupiter.
Eu também ouvia muito essa música e nobody hears também do Suicidal tendencies na antiga 97 rock, atual Energia 97 FM,eu tinha apenas 8 anos de idade e já sabia o que era música Boa.
I must have gone through a landfill of batteries playing that song through my walkman while jamming on my moms broom. 28 years later,..i have my own broom.
My band is looking for someone that can shred on golf club but can also play pots and pans if needed. I myself am proficient on the mop as well silverware🤘
@@getstraight234 semi-proficient on a putter. Found this Finnish dude willing to give me 9-iron lessons but only in exchange for virtuoso flamenco clap lessons.
Might sound stupid but at 2:00 I always look back at that bridge and see the cars driving and wonder where they were all going that day and what they did lol whatever they were doing didn't even fucking matter now that it's 20 something years later.
I'll...I'll Hate You Better... I'll Hate You Better... In This World Without Harmony... Where There's No Peace And There's No Sanity, I Can Still Survive And Survive Peacefully... Until That Moment When You Crash Down On Me... 'Cause I'll...I'll Hate You Better, 'Cause I'll...I'll Hate You Better You Better Watch How You Direct Your Hate... Or You'll Receive Part Of My Natural Trait, Before You Send Off, You Just Better Wait... 'Cause I Ain't Got Time Not To Retaliate, I'll...I'll Hate You Better... I'll Hate You Better... I'm Not Trying To Threaten Or To Deceive, I'm Just Enlightening You So You Won't Be Niave, I'll Tell You One Thing That You Better Believe, My Hate Is Better To Give Than To Receive... I'll...I'll Hate You Better... I'll Hate You Better...
It's odd, but this song actually has a calming effect on me. I was 18 and had just graduated from High School (1992) when 'The Art of Rebellion' came out. The first single was 'Nobody Hears,' and debuted on the HEADBANGERS BALL.!!!! Good Shit.
I LOVE THIS SHIT!!! I bought this album when I graduated from High School in 1992. It actually had a calming effect, ON MY IMPURE SOUL. I almost listen to this track on a daily basis, snd not by saying prayers prayers, but by listening to this song. That may appear to be total bulls##t, but it become a ritual to play this song. AWESOME!. Top 5. without a dought. (in no special order.)
never listened to or liked these guys growing up,but after years of friends telling me how good they are and hearing this song,i get it now.these guys are killer!!!
Old Al is like a heavy ancient metal disco doll on your Grandma's shelf. If just everyone would hear it! Al is a living legend just like Rob Halford. Ups n downs. Best ever.
@AresCosmos good man ! you will enjoy ! im 32 and been a fan since about 87 , and they helped give me confidence and felt how i felt ! now im n my own band and it kicks ass ! everybody always told me i couldnt do this i couldnt do that . you know what i lived my dreams of being a independent wrestler when i was told i was too small and im rocking in my band when no one said i could ! thanx ST ST !
Great song, great video, and a great message. And how crisp, clean, and crunchy has the guitar work in all the ST songs been throughout the years? Totally pure!
i really loved that album when it was released... it was something different but so cool and interesting as music..... i feel lucky i lived those years and albums.. LONG LIVE SUICIDAL
This album came out my senior year in HS and we rocked out to it every Friday getting pumped up to play in our football games, which we won every single game. ...among other things. We also had a hot-dogger ski posse (as athletic kids growing up in Utah mountains) called ST - The Suicidal Torpedoes obviously inspired by ST.
even more of a funny story my father went to school with these guys back in the day he was and i imagine my father wants to see his long lost friend he said where the lead singer his best friend grew up waa pretty rough place my dads names winston keith exley SR IM Jr He said the lead singer grew up in some rough shart witch is INSANE GIVING THE STORYS MY FATHER AND HIM GREW UP Bsing around so i wanna ask do u guys have enough room for a Guitarist??that can just play without being contracted ??????
41 and remember my sis taking me to first concert as young kid. ST (Join The Army Tour) wit Queensryche (Empire Almbum) been a huge fan ever since then and still am. #STArmy #Psycho4Life

Art of Rebellion was when they reached God status 💯
It's a good album but not as good as the previous 4 albums. They rose to stardom by their own accord and here they caved in to record company requests for more radio/MTV friendly songs. Absolutely one of the best albums ever! Every track is too notch. The peak of ST for me.

I must have gone through a landfill of batteries playing that song through my walkman while jamming on my moms broom. 28 years later,..i have my own broom.
My brother also had a nice broom he loved to play...either that one or his good old Air guitar. 🥰
hahaha its so funny how we all danced with a broom. Takes me about 20 years to clean due to music and dancing!
SUICIDAL!!
