How is the power boost function for guitars with a passive pickup, such as your K&K I imagine? I've read the pedal is really not made to work with these pickups but with regular acoustic-electric guitars and so it just doesn't supply the extra power that a passive pickup would near. I mean, it would work ... but just not increase the volume enough.

I recently used this for a gig with my K&K pickup installed guitar. It worked great, I personally was not needing more volume

mm..why not try to use a electric guitar and let's see if its sounds like an acoustic guitar.. jmo
It's not an acoustic simulator, it's just a pre-amp. If you use an electric guitar it will just give you a clean electric guitar sound
