Great review Cody. I thought this was an absolutely fantastic game. In fact I think that this is my favorite Stonemaier game. So many different paths to victory and they all felt very balanced. Really looking forward to playing this one more..
I know everyone is raving about this game, but even so, the theme is still what's keeping me from buying this game at least before I've played it. That said, I'm certainly willing to try it if it shows up at a game night and maybe I'll be able to get over the theme and enjoy it for its mechanics too.
Yeah. I’ve heard a lot of people turned off by the theme, as I mention in the video. But I hope you get a chance to play it at some point, because it’s solid.
Make sure that when you get bumped, you increase the power/age of the bumped bee (unless you put it in the landing pad, then it will get increased when you take a Retrieve action).
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer I've watched about 12 of your reviews and they were all positive. Good channel but I'd like to see some more recommendations on games to avoid.
@@againsttheleftandright4065 So, many of the games that review are games that I've requested, so I'm already inclined to like them on some level. Many companies that work with regularly send me games, and usually by this point they know my taste. However, there are several that I review that I'm not happy with. Off the top of my head, I was not a fan of The Ninth World, Space Marine the Board Game, and Hitler's War, to name a few.
Its great to see a professor have other hobbies not related to profession. Hoping this semester is great!
Thanks!
“It was more fun than I expected it to be.” You missed your own pun Cody!
Ha!
2:04 Just had flashbacks to Bilbos freakout in LOTR!
Ha!
Weren't space bees the enemy in the book Armor?
At the intro, I was expecting flight of bumblebee….but not a species you would farm
Ha!

Thanks. Great game.
Been dying to get my hands on this. May have to wait for a sale, glad it's got the Cody seal of approval.
Happy to help.
“Space bees!” Channeling Nicholas Cage right there.
Ha!
Do you think they will make a sequel with space birds called Aviary?
Ooooh!
This one surprised me too. Like it a lot.
Fun game!
I come for the game reviews, I stay for the intro jokes..
Thanks!

It's like they say, "you can sell more board games with honey than vinegar" Seriously though, this game is the bee's knees...
Indeed.
I think it's ok, but the "bumping" makes the game feel like one can just keep doing stuff forever. I'm not sure yet, only played a few times.

It’s actually quite an interesting system that they’ve devised, and seems to work quite well in the games I’ve played.
Has TDG ever reviewed a game poorly?
You don’t watch the show much, do you?
