There's no such thing as bad technology, just technology being used badly.
I am looking forward to seeing the AI's decide they need more efficient leaders.....like AI leaders. "Bye-bye, Xi!
Or maybe both can still be true. WMDs for example, have 0 positive uses outside of killing people.

@@tzefoong7472 yeah well not everyone is good at school or wants to do that stuff that's what so many so called educated people seem to forget you all want to remove manual labor and then what do people like me who are autistic who learn by eye do if i can't find a job? Then these people cry about crime and will cry when we rob them if you continue to push us in a corner don't come crying when we launch a violent revolution against the educated and rich who keep pushing us into a corner education is not everything in life some of us are happy to work in a factory.
Offering subsidies to self-driving taxi companies is insane. If cutting out labor costs makes them more competitive then they don't need subsidies. On the other hand if they need subsidies to be competitive then the government is in effect buying unemployment with taxpayer money!
I don't know whether to laugh at or cry for China at this point. This is counterintuitive & selfish/greedy.
Why not save time and do both together?
Robots will inevitably replace a lot of jobs in auto manufacturing, restaurants (they already trialing/testing robotic chefs), factory workers, health care.. almost everything.
This is why, many years ago, I ensured that my higher education would allow me to have the knowledge to work on robotic, electronic, and computer-based systems. You have to move with the future; it's not easy, but the alternative is being at the mercy of man and machine (of which man has little and machines have none).
Refuse to use anything that uses AI robots instead of humans!
They went the wrong way. You are already having problem with high unemployment but go all out to develop driverless taxi and road sweepers. You just created more problems for yourself.

12M are unemployed out of 1.41B
@@GamerShowdown-h8j China's economy is much worse than people are reporting.
Unemployment is rising. 16 -24 year old unemployment is over 30%
Unemployed people are not huge consumers. They do not buy homes. They do not get married or have children.
Individuals, foreign corporations and investors are fleeing cities and the country.
Numbers reported by the government can not be trusted.
Steel production collapse is a good example of the huge decline in the economy.
The property developers collapse is starting to ripple thru all its suppliers. Steel is the most visible. More to come.
The house of cards built on debt is not sustainable. The Ponzi scheme has been exposed.
China's real estate industry is bankrupt. This will impact the rest of the economy and then the rest of the world.
There is no 5% GDP. It is a made up number. GDP is 0%. China will export deflation to the rest of the world in 2024.
also not everyone can just become educated some of us are fine with working in factories and the more this happens the more militias we are starting and the more radical terrorist groups are buying my guns.
I don't get how this can be viewed in the negative context. This is the future of the humanity and if China is tackling with these problems first - well it just means it is in front of others. Also In my opinion this unemployment problems can be dealt with by reallocating extra profits from automation from the businesses into some sort of social benefits to unemployed.
Know people in netherlands and germany (how they abusing the given sick leaves) no wonder this things popping up eventually. They don't need to go on fake sick leaves, machine also don't need holidays and it's cheaper to have few engineers who can keep em running. But delivery vehicles is a nogo. They never can reach you on stairs if it's not a private house. (they can only if it'll be something like drone)
How about instead of learning to adapt with AI, just stop and ban it or limit it to purely a support element that has to be manned in conjunction with someone hired into that position. Yes, it makes things a lot more convenient and it saves companies money when it can do the job alone; but it's a complete poison pill. It's a threat to culture, human creativity and the job market. Right now mostly not (however we are seeing it replace a lot of jobs in certain fields) but it's constantly being worked on and improved. AI can't build a house but it could replace the need for humans in most industries at some point if left unchecked, having things done cheap doesn't matter if nobody has a job to buy what's being made. Technological innovation is great but at some point we have to draw a line so we don't phase out the need for the human element in everyday life.
Even if you do, it won't matter. Not all countries will listen and will see your concern as weakness and cowardice in the face of progress or profits. Others may just do it to get an edge on the market and others still may just do it under the table.
Unless the whole world agrees and cracks down HARD, it won't happen and since we know it won't do that, it won't happen
News flash! They are building houses!
YOU'RE DREAMING. PROGRESS WILL CONTINUE AND SUCCEED IN THE WORLD.
I wonder how advanced it would need to get before people’s primary question when dealing with AI phone customer service is no longer “how can I get to a human?” I’ve encountered it repeatedly now, have yet for the AI to actually address my problem, either I make it up the tree to a human or give up.

Yep same thing in the West and we have the educated class basically telling us to learn to code and to just accept so called progress while they have destroyed our towns and villages from our manufacturing jobs which used to give us great jobs for life i hate city dwellers they are all communists in my eyes they only care about themselves.
People should simply refuse to use the AI drivers
No.
My cousin Tang Lo lives in China. He tried a driverless taxi and shared it with a server robot trying to get to work. The taxi crashed and triggered the robot to malfunction.
Dystopia, CCP is completely disconnected with normal people....
It’s simple. Stop using anything that is autonomous! Put them out of business!
The educated and the rich prefer this they hate the working classes this is also the ultimate goal in western countries to continue to remove the jobs of the ''poor'' they view these people as unclean and subhuman.

Well China has a leaderless country so why not driverless vehicles.
The Industrial Revolution led to the creation of the factory worker and artisan, the demand for housing close to the manufacturing centre. It reduced the need for agricultural workers as Entrepreneurs designed machinery which increased productivity of the rural class.
A levy should be introduced onto AI 'workers' which will fund income for those it displaces.

idk, man. If AI can do the job better and more efficiently than humans, then I don’t see why people would still be needed. It’s like when cars were invented-no one cared about coachmen with horses anymore. You either adapt or get replaced.

People won't want the unmanned when the charges for them are no longer subsidized by taxpayer money. Then they'll be too expensive. Automate government jobs
so AI bots will work endlessly to produce merchandise that people without work can't afford.
The beginning of the end for high population countries because people will go to the jobs that are not ai adaptable, so high unemployment equals bankruptcy due to no one is buying their products is AI good for humans or bad the only people who will benefit is the political class good luck?
If software developers can be replaced, then there are no many jobs left for mankind.
Simple ! Only allow Driverless vehicle to run after midnight till 6.00 a.m !!!
I will say that this video confuses the point, IMO. And I'm rather surprised by that. The problem is not that autonomous driving will automate jobs out of existence. Technology has been doing that since the dawn of civilization. The problem is that the exploitative 'gig economy' functions as a form of full-time employment for so many people in China. I did a lot of gig work in the past, but in the U.S. it was never pushed as a viable alternative to having a full-time job. If you wanted to try to do it that way, that was on you (and it usually didn't work). But the companies themselves and the people who wrote about it characterized it as a sidehack, something to do in your spare time or a complement to other kinds of work. In other words, the problem is that China's labor economy exists, not that cars can be taught to drive and navigate themselves.
Poverty in authoritarian countries is an integral part of the power structure.
Democratic countries will devise scheme to fund those made redundant by AI jobs.
I wonder if AI robots (HAL) will have a "union"?
It's a race to the bottom 😅
AI Taxis - you say is substantially cheaper ... due to large "platform" subsidies. The reality is AI will never be good enough in the west; for the same reason CHinese BEVs aren't - lawsuits. What happens to the profits of an AI driver Taxi company if within 1 million taxi miles; at lease one major accident is the fault of an AI driven Taxi? In the west such accidents would wipe out all the profits gained. AI simply doesn't drive well enough to be even 1 major accident in 1 million paid miles. It never will be better because under the current scheme AI taxi's use human drivers as a model. Not a good model.
Not very possible because economymwould collapse before...because there are too few people left able to pay those AI based services...
