The 50-140mm Fujinon lens is versatile, well made, reasonably affordable(compared to full frame 70-200mm focal length)& delivers excellent image quality. A must have for event photography. A battery grip helps to balance the weight of the lens on XT bodies.(Note- the XT-5 does NOT offer a battery grip option.Paired with many of Fuji’s prime lens lineup, you have a well rounded kit for various photography assignments. The Fujinon 16-55mm f2.8 also pairs well with the 50-140mm.
I definitely agree. I love this lens and I used to pair it with the 16-55 f2.8 which I substituted for the 17-70mm f2.8 from Tamron, just for the vibration compensation (OIS) but to be honest also out of curiosity 🫣. I have older primes, the 35mm f2 and the older 56mm and while there are better options out there, this setup is great for me. The 50-140mm f2.8 is an absolute must have!
Weight doesn't matter to me...I don't think it's that demanding to work with this lens two hours a day once every few days...I am planning to buy one soon..thank you for this great review!
@@lostcreators Same here… I never thought I would use the 33 much. Did not really enjoy the 35/2.0 as it was a bit soft up close. But the 33 is amazing and now my most used lens. I may look again into the 56 wr and the 50/1.0. Owning the 50/2.0, the 56 seems a natural choice… but I like to mirror my f2 variants with brighter counterparts - kind of redundant I know 😅
It really is! And I think there’s an opportunity with newer stronger lighter materials to improve the build of these lenses in future. The image quality and versatility makes it worth it but man, it’s hefty!
The focusing motor is stabilized by electro-magnets. When powered off, they disengage, thus the clanking noise and movement.
🙏🏾 Thank you for this. It’s always unnerving hearing the sound 😅 even though I was told by the repeatedly that it’s normal.

Thank you, I was looking for such a video. Was very helpful.👌
🙌🏾 I truly appreciate it!
Currently looking into this lens to complement my 23 and 33 mk2 primes - this or a 56/90 😅
The 33 f1.4 is pure magic, I love that lens. I own the 56 and it’s also just out of this world! I think the 90 for me would just be too tight 😅

Great lens just a little heavy.

@@lostcreators Fuji is really slow when it comes to updating lens, that lens is over ten years old now.
