Hey Neil!🙌🏾 Thank you so much. The lens doesn’t have an OIS switch but the stabilisation turns on automatically because of the electronic contact points of the AF lens. It’s only when you want it off that you would have to go into the menu. But I just custom set it on the quick menu so it’s just two clicks.
I don’t know if it’s a general issue with the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 but using it with the XT3 and XH1, I only noticed the focus change when zooming in and out but exposure seems to remain constant.
The lense is good even when there’s isn’t great lighting but it’s still not as good as fast primes. But I have used it in situations where I pushed my XT3 to ISO 2000 and the images were still really great!
Definitely! For the day this lens is phenomenal because it’s sharp at both 17 and at 70 and it’s an all purpose lens. It will greatly reduce the number of lenses you use at weddings.
Hi Great video as usual.. question.. does the image stabilization have to be turned on in camera menus on Xt3.. I noticed no switch on lens ?

Does it still has the exposure change issue when zooming in/out?
