New Brake Shoe & Drum Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABD...
This video shows you how to install rear brakes on your 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Even though they are an older technology, you still find drum brakes on the rear of many modern vehicles. Like disc brakes, the brake drum and shoes will wear down over time, requiring replacement.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

GOTTT DAAMN ITS WAY MORE INVOLVED THAN DISC BRAKES. SHET, I HAVENT DONE DRUMS IN DECADES.
I DONT FEEL LIKE FOCKING WITH IT
😮😢
Your camera guy did very well and your mechanic.
Great video, I was a little nervous about taking the plate that connects to the parking break line off but I see now that the old one can be reused. Thanks.
New wheel cylinder at 9:08, must've missed that part..
Curious… Why bleed the brakes if you’re not opening the system if there’s air in the system, there’s something else wrong. You shouldn’t really ever have to bleed the brakes if you’re not opening it.?
what size are the jacking bolts please
What size bolts did you use to back off the drum ? & if the brakes I bought didn’t come with hardware is it fine to reuse the old stuff ?
Thank you so much I did not know how to put that adjuster in since it was missing from my truck
I seen one video they had the long spring u release at the bottom from the parking brake
Giving everything a nice coating of brake fluid. Crazy how mechanics treat these vehicles. I'm probably less typical trying to keep things clean and protected w coatings as intended. Wonder why things don't last.
My adjuster is at its shortest point and I still can’t get the drum on.
Do those access covers in your 4:04 in your video come with brake pads ?
What size are the bolts ?
Where you get the tool
I been looking for a backing plate & can not find one any where , any ideas ?
What are those access covers do ? What is there purpose?
What about the parking brake for the 2097 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS
yo cuz- dont you read the comments? WHAT SIZE BOLTS???
I used m10 bolts on mine to get the cover off
Do access covers in your 4:08 part of your video come with brake pads or rotor ?
