Ty for the info, just started today and I was completely stunned by the fact that to get a companion, you needed lvl 1 in leadership for companion slot, and yet to train leadership, you need a companion to order around, and to get a companion, you needed a companion slot.
That's correct, if you don't pick leadership at the start you will need to find a book that will give you the first level or gain your first companion slot from Hunting or Construction.
He covered that. Unless you pick leadership when creating a character .. you will NOT have a slot at the start of the game. You must learn it from a skill book, or level up Hunting to a high level.
My favorite way to level leadership is to give my companion an axe, and have them fell trees all day. Good times with Daisy and I indeed.

Is it possible to tame a minotaur?
You will have to try. :)
I see you said they don't need food .. what about rest? Do they rest when you do? Or maybe they stand guard?
They rest whenever you rest.
hey, Can companion use their magic? I hired a 14 level floromancy but she never used them.
If they have the specific milestones assigned and reach the necessary level they may use them.
Do companions also gain skills? Was the goat helping to construct the wall? :D
The animals can help with construction same as other companions, the companions gain skill same as other NPCs during simulation.
@@wizardsofthecode7923 Is there a way to see what skills they have?
You can check the skills in Knowledge tab, but no way to check for specific abilities.
@@wizardsofthecode7923 How does that work with animal and constructed companions? They don't have a knowledge tab entry from what I can tell.
@@Vyleea They don't gain skills. Golems gain abilities from parts you can craft, and animals may have some preset abilities they can access as well.
Do they require food and water?
They don't.
Great except the game won't let you hire anyone. The option doesn't exist once you ask them to join you, the next page never has any options.
