Merry Christmas!🎄glad you enjoyed that. Still unbelievable to see the terminator in that role, lol! Hope your next video is the last two episodes of Invincible S1
"Put that Cookie Down, NOW!!!" One of my favorite lines in the movie, and this movie is such an underrated classic and has become one of my favorite Christmas movies!
One of my favorite Christmas movies growing up. Shot in Minnesota. Parade was shot on a Hollywood set and renamed due to permission issues. Mickeys Diner: Open 24/7 for 80 years. Shut down in 2021 (Covid hurt business). They said they would open in 2022. Unknown if that happened. Diner was also in Mighty Ducks.
The movie takes place in Minnesota. The Mall of America is the largest mall in the US and I have visited a number of times since the 90s and its nostalgic to see Arnold and Sinbad run through these stores and attractions that I spent a large chunk of my childhood in.
My family regularly quotes this movie. Whenever we claim to be an expert on anything we say "I did a semester of __ in junior college, so I'm right in there! I know what's going on!"
JINGLE ALL THE WAY doesn't deserve all of the negative criticism film critics gave it. It has a lot of heart and hysterical scenes, sequences and relatability, plus it has Phil Hartman.
had no idea critics didn't like this movie. Its been a personal classic of mine for a long time, forget critcs man they're all high on their own supply.
I actually got the Turbo Man action figure for Christmas as a kid and was shocked. Didn’t know at that time they had made it an actual action figure to sell when the movie came out lol
It's surprising how a lighthearted Christmas themed comedy starring Arnold of all people manages to do some real world commentary on the insanity of rampant consumerism and ends with the kid choosing to selflessly give away the toy he wanted to the "villain" of the movie (who like the protagonist is just a parent desperate to please his child on Christmas). Is this a masterpiece? No, but it was pretty funny for what it was. Its harmless fun imo
What's so funny about this movie is how damned ACCURATE this was for the 90s and early 2000s. Seriously. Anything related to Pokemon or Furby or Tamagachi or heaven forbid Tickle Me Elmo was literally this level of insanity. My grandmother actually got into a damned fist fight over a Furby she bought for herself. A 50+ year old woman actually got into a hair pulling, kicking, screaming, knock-out punch fight with someone over a damn talking toy covered in cheap hair. For herself. I miss my grandma lol
*"This is the happiest ending I've ever seen to any movie, like.. everyone wins! Except for Myron, he goes to jail!"* That made me spray figgy pudding all over my Turbo Man doll. Merry christmas, Viki~!
This is probably like the one Arnie movie where his being a mountain of a man doesn't inform his character, come into the plot, or necessitate he's a one-man army. He's just an ordinary suburban dad who happens to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. His handful of action scenes in this movie are entirely played for laughs, with Howard scraping by mostly by luck.
Terribly underrated. Not many people like this movie to how ridiculous it is, but that's precisely what makes it hilarious! Not only do you laugh, but it's also a very real touch of reality about what many parents go through and the consecuences of leaving things to the last minute. My poor parents went through a similar experience when the first Toy Story fever was up 😏
6:09 "Nature's _kind._ They'll take him _in,_ like he's one of their _own."_ No it's not. Nature's _ruthless._ This is why wilderness survival skills have to be _learned._ You don't _have_ 'em, nature rakes you over the _coals._
Phil Hartman will always be Troy McClure- you may know him from such fils as The Boatjacking of Supership '79, calling all Quakers, David vs Super Goliath and The Contrabulous Fabtraption of Professor Horatio Hufnagel.
My in-laws all work for the USPS (MIL retired postmaster, FIL retired rural carrier, SIL mail carrier, cousins-in-law contract postal truckers). I love watching unhinged postal workers and laughing at their reactions to these portrayals.
@@maizeman90 Yeah. Howard and Liz are in bed that night, talking about all he went through today. Liz jokes that she can't wait to see what he got for her. Cue Arnold (:-o face and scene
lmfao my fav part is sinbad when he freaks out and grabs that older woman.. but this whole movie is a fav of mine for christmas along with Krampus, The Santa Clause and part 2, and Christmas with the Kranks
This movie has the best Christmas movie quote “PUT DA COOooOKIE DOOOooOoWN!” 😂 Jingle All the Way and The Grinch with Jim Carey are my favorite Christmas movies.
Play Co Toys really brings back memories. Most of mine were of Toys 'Я' Us, but Play Co was one of their main competitors at the time, and I liked to go there, too. And of course, there were so many catalogs--the farther back you go, maybe to the 1970s, the more there were.
Sinbad is also memorable in "First Kid." Phil Hartman(neighbor Ted) was a regular in the first three seasons of "News Radio," until his wife killed him and then herself.
19:09 "And _I'll_ know if you move, 'cause I have the _ears_ of a _snake!"_ 🤔 Snakes... don't _have_ ears. They perceive _vibration_ with their internal _organs,_ but that's the only way they actually perceive _sound._
This is a really great movie and my favorite actor Robert Conrad is in it as the motorcycle policeman who he keeps running into Arnold and this is a really great movie with Arnold, Sinbad, Jim Belushi and an all star cast in it, also I used to work at Walmart so I know what it is like here. 💖🎄💖⛄🎀⛄💖🎄💖
My guy gives a bad name to all Myron's out there 😂 btw shout out to Ted aka Phil Hartman. He actually is on The Simpsons as the shady lawyer Lionel Hutz, and actor Troy McClure RIP!
I grew up in Minneapolis, MN, very close to the Mall of America. I loved that mall when I was a kid, and the Camp Snoopy theme park in the basement was like Disneyland at home for me. One day in March of ‘96, my dad and I noticed that Camp Snoopy was decorated for Christmas for some reason, and there was a random piano set up as well. We asked around and learned that an Arnold Schwartzeneger movie had just wrapped up filming a few scenes. We didn’t get to meet any actors, but a woman said she had ridden next to Arnold on the elevator. She said he was quite rude and wouldn’t give her the time of day. Even though Dad and I missed all the action, the Mall of America scene is still my favorite because we got to see the movie set, so to speak.
Ah yes Arnie the guy who was working all day on a film was rude because he dared to not interact with a stranger on the elevator😂 the nerve of that lady.
I'll always remember the climax of this movie from seeing in the theater, because of some old lady that found all the slapstick way funnier than it actually was. It got to the point where the entire theater was laughing at her uproarious laughing rather than the film.
One of my favorite movies around this time. So quotable. As far as other Christmas movies, some of the big ones are The Santa Clause, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (there's a bunch of versions), A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street (there's two versions), Christmas Vacation, and White Christmas. Can't go wrong with those :) have a nice Christmas time
This is my absolute FAVORITE christmas movie. I love it so much! I saw it as a child in the cinema and have watched it every year since. Wishing you a very merry Christmas V and everyone reading this :)
What you remember from your childhood was even more so in the 1990s and even more-more so in the 1980s. I remember people literally stampeding each other for Cabbage Patch Kids dolls in 1983, since the demand way outstripped the supply at the time. Someone actually died from getting stepped on. 😳
Well, Myron is a mailman, and back in those days we used to say that people went "postal" when they lost it and started doing bad things. This was undoubtedly why this movie made this character a mailman.
7:28 "This man deserves a... What was it? Emmy? Grammy? This man deserves an Oscar." 😄 This actor's name is David Adkins, but he's better known by his stage name: Sinbad. In the '90's, he was about as famous as the Schwartz. Odd that his star has _faded,_ so much.
She compared Phil Hartman, RIP, to Flanders and not Linoel Huntz and kept calling him Grimey like Homer's nemesis 🙆🏻♂️ George from cinebinge would lose his shit if he saw this 😂 Also, happy ending? If my son gave away a doll I spent all damn day getting him, risking life and limb, jail time, and enjoyed an Irish coffee I'd know him tf out
Ted (Phil Hartman) was one of the most hilarious human beings to ever live before he was murdered by his crazy wife. He was amazing on SNL and the Simpsons. Plus, Billy West channeled him while voicing Futurama's Zap Branigan.
This has always been one of my holiday favorites. It just kinda reminds me of how I was as a kid. Thanks for the reaction and Merry Christmas. Also check out Krampas and Violent Night. Oh and Grimlens. They'll blow you away.
Merry Christmas 🎄 & As Always Love Seeing Your Reactions To All These Great Movie's, Especially This One, I Watches This All Christmas Day, That's My Tradition, Which Is Today, Enjoy your holiday 😊
Around the mid-1980s, there was an inexplicable series of postal workers, including mailmen and those working inside post offices, who went nuts and started shooting, stabbing, or otherwise killing their coworkers. It became such a thing for a couple of years that people started commonly saying that a person had gone "postal" if they exhibited any kind of unhinged behavior. I'm not sure when people stopped saying that, but they still were in the mid-1990s when this movie was made and released, and I'm sure this was a deliberate reference to the meme of a bunch of postal workers having "gone postal" a decade earlier. Myron being a mailman seems totally random to younger folks today, but it wasn't to people 10+ years older than you are. It was funny in and of itself (because tragedy + time = comedy, which I got from Mel Brooks).
To be honest, I don't think he knew there was a bomb in that package lol All did was take that package just to deliver it, and BOOM! 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He's still right though 😑 There's always sick people.
Merry Christmas! This was in Minneapolis. Vkunia, this is the second time this season that I've watched a reaction to this. I used to have this on VHS somewhere. Sinbad and Arnold were great as polar opposites. I saw this in theaters and really enjoyed it. Little Anakin Skywalker, Tom Hank's wife Rita Wilson, and the late Phil Hartman were gems. It's Turbo time! Nice reaction. Other Christmas films I've suggested to a few other reactors: One Magic Christmas and A Mom For Christmas. Another Arnold film I suggest with Danny DeVito and Kelly Preston is Twins (1988). The Rocketeer is a must as well.
Saw this in the theater as a little kid and I still love it today. Ted is that particular kinda of douche that you have to keep an eye out for. He’ll help women and is nice to them only because he wants to get in their pants and he’ll befriend a dude in order to get close to the girlfriend or wife. Essentially, the type of dude you will have to throw hands with at some point and he’ll have to leave town because half the town wants his head.
Im from St. Paul MN and that bridge he ran out of gas on was the Hennapin ave bridge and that diner he pushed his car to is a 3 hour walk away about a 9 mile hike. Movie always bugged me about that and we have like 8 hours of daylight yet this movie is bright all day. He must have been at the mall of America at 5 am
10:35 I have worked at Gamestop on 2 holiday seasons and Best Buy for one, both around 20 years ago when it was way worse than it is today. One Black Friday was when the Xbox 360 came out. I remember a lady paying for it and then forgetting to bring it with her. I had to chase her down through the mall with it.
Can I say an extra thank you for saying my dad's nickname accidentally? He was a howard, and he demanded everyone call him "Howie." You literally brought a smile to my face.
Jingle All The Way is a childhood favorite of mine, great reaction as always!! Did you call the stick shift the PRNDL (prindle) because of The Suite Life?? lol
As someone who was born in 1990 turbo man is a seban entertainment type show. And you best believe that stores were that nuts around my birthday/xmas (they're a month apart) trying to find those gotta have it toys
I was managing a store in a large shopping centre (British version of a Mall) when the then-PM announced a lockdown was in effect from midnight that night, within a fortnight of Christmas. Shop went from empty to Black Friday levels of customers within fifteen minutes, and stayed that way for the remaining five hours. Customers can be animals.

There actually is a sequel in a way. Jingle All The Way 2 was released in 2014, but is only related to Jingle All The Way in name only.
One of my top Christmas movies. Sure, it good bad reviews for being cheesy, but its a good amount of a cheese that makes it great.
Can I say an extra thank you for saying my dad's nickname accidentally? He was a howard, and he demanded everyone call him "Howie." You literally brought a smile to my face.
this movie was filmed in my home state you have no idea of how much pressure there is or was back then for christmas.
Jingle All The Way is a childhood favorite of mine, great reaction as always!! Did you call the stick shift the PRNDL (prindle) because of The Suite Life?? lol
