Does the Salamander have some sort of significance in Zeon? You had the White Ogre from MS Igloo with a Salamander, the Salamander team from requiem for Vengeance, and now this joker.
The animation here is top tier. All that mobility gear is dead weight that keeps them on a single axis of movement, If there were in DOM’s then maybe they would have stood a chance speed wise.
@@JamesKim-m7f yeah, the Vulcans usually cause some superficial damage and they certainly can throw you off guard because your instincts are yo guard or dodge. Best thing about the Vulcan rounds would be if it damages camera systems or critical joints. Not everything on the MS is fully armored. It's usually not that effective in depictions.
Danan vs Doan details I noticed: 1:13 - Doan locks his zaku's arm with Danan's after Danan swang his heat hawk down and then raising Danan's zaku arm up to force an opening. 1:15 - Danan narrowly dodges Doan's attack but Doan follows it up with the shield hitting Danan's Zaku head
Gundam always has such amazing plot armor. These battles never make any sense. I wish just once that they would do a battle that is accurate to how a real battle would take place instead of all the mellow drama.
I mean, the drama is part of the point. The only time anyone gets gunned down mercilessly is to twist the knife on how quickly and pointlessly they died. That said, there are a few that might fir what you're looking for The fight between the 08th MS Team and the Gouf Custom is probably one of the most cerebral battles in the series, with the Gouf pulling such tricks as "using a wire to delay its descent to dodge an attack" and "creating a smoke screen to take the enemy by surprise" and "using a disabled mobile suit (the pilot is still alive) as a shield." You could argue it's still melodrama/plot armor since the Gouf Ace doesn't just kill our heroes, but it works for me. There's also the first appearance of the EX Gundam in Requiem for Vengeance, which in its first outing downs an entire squadron of mobile suits within a few minutes. The Gundam pilot makes some pretty poor tactical decisions (which is actually pretty logical given what we learn about them later) but their performance makes them come off like a mechanical slasher villain, instantly killing one guy with a beam rifle shot and then dismembering the rest with their saber.
Any story you can think of where it seems its being realistic most of the times takes liberties for film, because i dont know if you know this, but stories are inherently emotional, so if its gonna convey it by breaking conventional reality its gonna do that, as long as it follows the rules of its own universe, it doesn’t matter.

I love how Gundam is just sometimes entierly skil based
Heh even with no (hand) 4:36 weapons a gundam strikes an imposing image.
I like that they kept Doan zaku having the long ass fucking snoot compare to the other zaku suits, hell you can say he using the head of a zaku 1 cause they also have to really long snoot
Yes, truly an elite military unit. Armed with distance weapons, they attack one at a time at close range against a guy armed with a melee weapon.

Boy, when they said Doan could rival Char, they weren't kidding.
No, Doan would be way weaker than Char. Doan’s skill is still behind Norris Packard. Johnny Ridden and Breniss Ox would mop Char tho
@@Aelvir114 The footage suggests otherwise my guy.
@@MasterSwo-MKit’s called plot and Doan shows skill but nothing equal to Johnny, Noris and especially not Char.
@@slideways_sideways1803 The dude is taking on several High-performance units that could almost be considered Doms in Zaku costumes in the Zaku equivalent of a self build Jalopy made of scraps!
And WINNING!!!
You expect me to believe Char or Norris could top that?
Not that they aren't amazing pilots, far from it, but you're basically missing the details here!
@@MasterSwo-MK You’re forgetting that the schmucks Doan is fighting aren’t aces and aren’t very experienced. I should also point out he starts losing to the final guy, who isn’t an ace…and you’re going to tell me that Doan can solo Johnny Ridden? One of the top aces and a member of the Chimera Corps, aka the group comprised of the best of the best of Zeon? Yeah, okay. Just look up MSG Engage Johnny Ridden and tell me Doan can top that.
Also if you think Doan can beat Norris, you clearly are giving these guys too much credit because the people he was facing is not even on Norris’ level at all.
Having a high-performance MS doesn’t mean crap when the pilot is terrible.
Also the Zaku II High Mobility Ground Type was inferior to the other High Mobility Type Zaku IIs. It’s mobility is closer to a Dom but not on equal par. If you look at how they move in the video they are clearly not making use of its mobility, they’re just treating them like regular Zaku that can hover slide (which most aces in HMTs do not do).
It’s also a case of Doan knows them and how they fight, so he already has an advantage.
Y'know, Gundamverse mechs seem to be perhaps the most explosive vehicles to ever be put into combat, second only to the average non-hero ship in Trek.
Earlier Zakus in particular tended to have straight-up nuclear reactors in them.
Mano, que coisa linda isso. Eu amo Gundam. ❤🇧🇷🤝🏻🇯🇵👏🏻

Is that the White Ogre Tatoo on one cheek of the Brown Southern Cross pilots?
From MS Igloo 2?
I always love when the Zaku are fighting 💪
Add the Wild Dog theme from Time Crisis 1-5, and this fight scene is perfect.
always appreciate the mobile suits delay of explosion. unless its not a main character ....

Does the Salamander have some sort of significance in Zeon? You had the White Ogre from MS Igloo with a Salamander, the Salamander team from requiem for Vengeance, and now this joker.
This looks pretty decently animates for a Anime from the 80s, damn
The animation here is top tier. All that mobility gear is dead weight that keeps them on a single axis of movement, If there were in DOM’s then maybe they would have stood a chance speed wise.
Where is Domon when you need him? Super Zaku II kicks everyone like a chad
Another “fight” scene where the attackers are absolutely useless as a team
Pfft, context? who needs that?!
Probably they were more effective under Doan's leadership
The Heat Bowies and Heat sabers were cool upgraded weapons.
the Zaku type have always been my favorite. (aside from Heavy Arms) lol

It's usually not that effective in depictions.
just when I thought I had enough reasons to at the Gundam, they tried to make it go BRRRR with the vulcans. lmao

Danan vs Doan details I noticed:
1:13 - Doan locks his zaku's arm with Danan's after Danan swang his heat hawk down and then raising Danan's zaku arm up to force an opening.
1:15 - Danan narrowly dodges Doan's attack but Doan follows it up with the shield hitting Danan's Zaku head
サザンクロス隊は連携してドアン討伐に動くべきだった。
1:27 god, i LOVE THAT ELECTRIC GUITAR SOUND SO MUCH. anyone know whats the theme name is? I have to know
Same man, I need this soundtrack.
Gundam always has such amazing plot armor. These battles never make any sense. I wish just once that they would do a battle that is accurate to how a real battle would take place instead of all the mellow drama.
I think one of the most accurate Gundam battles can be found in the 08th MS Team.
I mean, the drama is part of the point. The only time anyone gets gunned down mercilessly is to twist the knife on how quickly and pointlessly they died. That said, there are a few that might fir what you're looking for
The fight between the 08th MS Team and the Gouf Custom is probably one of the most cerebral battles in the series, with the Gouf pulling such tricks as "using a wire to delay its descent to dodge an attack" and "creating a smoke screen to take the enemy by surprise" and "using a disabled mobile suit (the pilot is still alive) as a shield." You could argue it's still melodrama/plot armor since the Gouf Ace doesn't just kill our heroes, but it works for me.
関係ないがガンダムのバルカンがちゃんとガトリング砲独特の射撃音なのにこだわりを感じる。
The Gundam's vulcans would have shredded that Zaku in the original series.
If I was a Zeon. I would be scared if I see Gundam without it's Blasters. And it just slow walk towards you and pull out both of it's beam sabers
