Additionally, this class of corvettes has more firepower than the U.S. LCS classes. cool ship... but why would this corvette go up against a CCP carrier when they can launch their airforce against the sovereign independant nation of Taiwan from mainland China? The best defence for Taiwan is for the USA, France, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Japan to set up a jointly constructed "friendship entertainment centre" in Taiwan. This could be a "movie set" that looks like a port with "stunt" hunter subs, "false" missile batteries, and about 2500 US actors and entertainers who look and act very much like Marines. How could the CCP be upset when an extension of "Hollywood" or "Disney" are present in the country of Taiwan in the name of entertainment and friendship? I doubt the CCP would ever consider attacking an international coalition of "actors and entertainers" training and honing their craft while making "movies"...... that would be very bad and an act of war to not only attack Taiwan but also "civilians" working for Hollywood.
At this point for taiwan. Yhey might as well get serious with naval warfare. Doesnt matter what they do or don't do, china is likely to use force. So might as well build or buy destroyers, LCS and subs. Get serious with deterence. If you look at Chinese made products, it's usually low quality. Just look at Amazon products that are from China. They are garbage. If you remember less than a year ago, China shot 4 missiles towards US Carrier in South China Sea. 4 of them land in China and 1 landed in the ocean in the middle of nowhere. So to think that China can knock out Taiwan's military, airports, satellite system, I highly doubt that. Taiwan does have 2000km range hypersonic missile that can hit just about anywhere in China. And also don't you think Taiwan has spies in China as well? They also know everything about China. What will stop China is the import of food. And what makes you think South Korea is more advanced than Taiwan? There are many companies in Taiwan you probably don't even know about. All you know is Samsung. 😆
With out numbers backing and even if theyre Alien tech it wouldnt stand against such a big adversary.
Remember this type of thought

Vietnam still defend themselves against America
@@dhurjatinarayangiri9557 and Vietnam defended themselves against China as well...LOL
It also needs bramos installed on Taiwan
Check your 6 brother. You just said that Taiwan was an “Island nation.” The CCP hates that reference.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian once mocked Taiwan for spending USD15 billion of Taiwan's "Tax Payer's money" on 国防 (National Defence) saying that "an ant cannot fight a tree". So even China (when not lying) admits that Tawan is an independent 国 (Nation) and never pay any tax or tribute to China. Fact: Taiwan is NEVER a part of PRC. The ant (Taiwan) is of course always independent of the Tree (China).
Hopefully won't be used to terrorise philippine fishermen and bully their coastguard ...
PLA NAVY commissioned about 60 type 022 ships with similar idea more than 15 years ago. But PLAN abandoned this strategy several years ago. The reason is very simple. The survivability of these small boat is almost zero without strong air cover.
Hit and run? 😂
Enough to sink USS ship ? Good news one day may need
So basically these are what the US litoral ships should've been
cool ship... but why would this corvette go up against a CCP carrier when they can launch their airforce against the sovereign independant nation of Taiwan from mainland China?
Against china, the attack volume from air, sea and sub sea is enormous, smaller and lower power platforms like corvettes though helpful isn't gonna cut it. Many countries are more than willing to work with taiwan on this. With each weapon bought or built. Is one more bit of caution for the ccp.
Taiwan need Long range air defence system
Like S400 and s500
Me and my team has 3 AK-47 we our fighting against a team with a Thousand AK-47
yeah" we now have a chance.......smh
If the fight is on your turf, and the thousand guys with AKs have to squeeze through a narrow gate to get in, and most of the thousand are cowardly mama's boys, and a heavily armed SWAT team is in the next county but on its way, then yeah, you have a chance.

Without the help of the United States
Military..... Taiwan Navy is heavily out numbered especially with the Type 55 destroyer rank #2 and Type 052D rank #5. China has 40 Destroyers 20 are modern Taiwan has 4. China has11 satellites for military use Taiwan has two.China has df-17 ship destroying missile that can be launch from Aircraft as well as hypersonic weapons that Taiwan currently can't defend.China has 79 submarines which 6 are nuclear powered.Taiwan has only 4 with it's first demestically built sub to be launch by 2023.China first Super Aircraft carrier type 003 is near completion and will launch to begin sea trial's early next year with china new j-31-35 stealth fighter design for the new carrier.
The point here is China can sit miles off the coast of Taiwan and launch missile at every military base in Taiwan until there air defenses is destroy as well as there radar sites and GPS signals.
China has emps in the conventional and nuclear weapons. Now of course The Taiwanese will fight back inflicting heavy damage with it's coastal defenses but it won't be enough. Oh one more thing china has spy's and agents all over Taiwan.
@@thomashoward4321 there is no doubt that Taiwan can't go head to head with China. I mean who can? Can any other country other than maybe US? China started building military without the world noticing it until now. Like Germany did in WW2. The question is how good are the Chinese missiles? China can't produce enough food to feed their population. Within maybe 2 or 3 months being cut out from food import, I think millions will go in starvation. Inflation will also sky rocket as China will be cut out from the world. Millions will be out of jobs. I believe China will be broken apart if that happens. Like former Soviet Union collapse..

Ridiculous analysis: why would China use aircraft carriers when it’s only 200km off Taiwan’s coast? How do does this ship protect against 100 of missiles flying all the same time towards Taiwan, on top of the 1000 of small Drones attacking at the same time?
A lot of people here are still stacked in 1980’s warfare tactics, times have changed, next war won’t be won with ships and thanks but with small drones, cyber attacks and targeted liquidation of key decision makers.
But Taiwanese EW capabilities are among the best in world
Have you not seen how PLA and Indian army fight at the border dispute? With hands and clubs. I think you have been watching too many movies. Iron man does not exist 😀
just let taiwan buy 100 nuclear warhead lah...chee bye everyday same old news..talk talk talk...chee bye oredi itchy
As much as I want Taiwan to be able to defend itself, I believe its military will collapse really quick like the Afghan army when invaded
Brandon will not help in the defence of Taiwan:)
Mosquito has armed itself in hope to counter and repel a Leviathan.???? You must be joking... right.? :o)))
The mosquito will give the leviathan the dengue fever.
The leviathan obviously hasn't heard how quick celebral malaria kills then😊
More seriously, Taiwan just need to make it really costly for China to invade to deter the invasion.
@Ouchwitz Cookie Factory China's submarines are WWII Germans submarines.
@Ouchwitz Cookie Factory Sure.
