My Traveling Art Kit

- A peek inside my tool box that I turned into my Traveling Art Kit. I take this with me around in the house, in the car to work on while waiting for my daughter to get out of school, to Whole Foods to work on while having a snack and beverage, you name it! I love it and wanted to share with you what all I have packed inside.
I am sorry, but I do not know the name/brand of tool box that this is. I bought this many years ago and there is no branding on it anywhere. I did buy it at a major home improvement store and I have seen similar boxes recently. I'm not sure what the price was either, but I'm sure it was below $20 and I'm sure that I got it when it was on sale. :-)
Thanks so much and if you have any questions please ask!
Also, I have renamed my blog and will soon be renaming my YT channel. New adventures lay ahead in the future and I felt like it was time to give my channel and blog a real name - honest heART studio.
Thank you so much for following me, for all of your kind comments and for all of your support!

Busy moms are the most organized and productive. I love this. Thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy your videos and love to see how real artists pack their travel kits. Thank you for sharing. So many things about you and your life inspire me.
The tool box is a great idea. I will have to look at Home Depot and Lowe's to see if they have one like it. I read something a while back about keeping all pens and markers lying down and not put in a pencil holder at a vertical angle. The article said the pens won't dry out and the ink runs smoother if you keep them flat.
We are headed to the beach, for a much needed get away, with my daughter, husband and grandkids and I am going to use an old pencil box that I can lay flat in my bag and take some magazines with me to enjoy my mixed media journal. You and your family have a nice Easter.

Please tell your daughter I said that I hope she has a nice Easter too and I hope the Easter bunny brings her and her brother lots of great stuff. Its great to hear you so comfortable behind the camera and hope to hear more from you (and the kids too).
Pi love seeing how other people pack their travel supplies. Being chronically ill, I try to keep some things packed to use in bed or on the couch for when I don't feel well enough to get into the art room. I also take my supplies out and about, especially to doctors appointments where there tends to be a lot of waiting around. As for a small Stamp pad, have you thought of a Dewdrop size memento? I haven't seen a tiny Archival or Staz-On. Just a thought. . .
What a wonderful kit you've created! I've been thinking, pondering, searching for ideas to create one myself. I have to say I'm thinking I like what you've done the best. So... off to the store I go. Just a quick FYI for those searching for the box - I have seen them also at Michaels and Joanns. With a coupon I bet, am hoping, not to expensive. : ) Happy Easter to you and your family. Love the little ones!
I've been looking at a way to keep all my pens and markers together, so I'll take a look at my local hardware store.
I've really been enjoying your videos so much. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video for everyone who feels overwhelmed with their stash. Not only is this a great travel kit, but also for people who are short on space. Happy Easter to you too, Di!
It's a basic tackle or tool box. I use three of them to organize my art supplies. Great box.
Dear Packer Di - you are a girl after my own heart.. I totally GET you ! I have my art-to- go bags as well. I carry them every day when I go to work at my reception job in the event I have some quiet moments. It's important to work when & where you can. Thanks for sharing.
Kid cameo was cute! Happy Easter kiddo!
I like the tote and you bag! Great idea when you're on the go! Have a great Easter!
Simply OUTSTANDING! ♥
Thanks for sharing, I really like the case you have and how organized and portable it is. Blessings, Linda Hardesty
thats great that you are so Mobile!!!! keep it up looks like fun
Awesome travaling kit! I have a pretty big magazine collection but I need to start building up a word stash. Can't wait to start a magazine journal.
That's a great idea. You are well organised. Xx
Oh, girl! But that looks like a mini art studio rather than a travel kit! I take very few art supplies with me and mostly choose to work in watercolor because they are cleaner....but yes, I like to get messy and mixed media itțs like my second skin! Using just one art supply is sooo boring! ;) THANKS so much for sharing with us!
I have been looking for a good travel case for mysupplies. I have seen these boxes and i didnt even think of using them, but now i am going to run to the store and buy one! Thank you
Have a nice Easter, sweetie!
OMG! That case is perfect! I'm going to have to check my local hardware store to see if I can find something like that. I had been looking at the organizers at the craft store but the sections were way too small for markers. Thanks so much for posting this video:)
I LOVED IT
Love this!

I found the case! It's by Homak. EBay has the best price. Look up Homak double sided organizer.
That tote is awesome. Would you mind sharing the name of the butterfly book and the rose book. I love everything you do. Thanks for sharing, Maren
Happy Easter to you.
Have you tried a Stampin' Up Stampin' Spot? I love mine and they can come in singles and collections. They are also about 1x1".
this looks like fun - fortunately i do not live close by or i might stalk your Whole Foods to join in!!
Me too. lol
im not sure where you live, but at my michaels craft store, in the dollar spot there are studio g small ink pads that i think will definitely fit into your travel kit here!
Oh wow love that case! I truly need to start my collage journal, I am a bit overwhelmed by all the mags I've collected lol. Any suggestions on how to organize the images or should I just leave them in & not tear them out? Tfs,Kay
where did u get the case?
I always hear about people going to Blick? I cannot find a store near me. Are they common ?
I live in Phoenix.. we just got one about a year ago so Im not sure that they are that common. Years ago they were known as dick blick and they put out a huge catalog. These days they just go by blick and are worth while buying from online. They have huge student sales every fall and spring and email some pretty good coupons too.
Thanks for the info!
