Building a UA-cam a channel in 2021 is gonna be difficult. You're gonna fail, post videos that get no views, and you'll be slow to get subscribers. However, the biggest mistake you can make is quitting. If you stay consistent, if you work hard, and if you put our quality content, you'll have no choice but to grow. Let's smash out 2021, yeah? 💪🏻

I find the "I don't give a FK" method works pretty well. I don't care how big my channel is now or ever, I make videos because I enjoy doing so. Every week I keep getting more subscribers to my little sh#t show using this I don't care method lol....

I agree about the tripod legs when inverting my tripod. I ran into that challenge when shooting a dissection video with a full grown adult sturgeon. I didn't mind the legs being in the way that much with a small fish but it. was a giant pain and had to go completely hand held for the big fish. Definitely going to look into this solution. Looks like it can get cleaned easily too!!! Thanks Omar!

I’m using an old enlarger where I replaced the head with a tripod mount. It’s a very solid construction, being designed for the rather heavy enlarger head; moving the camera up and down is easy and precise with a crank. And you can get those enlargers for very little money these days.

I currently use a 🗜 mount that I love for my iPad/iPhone for overhead filming. I never have issues with it wobbling unless I actually hit the mount itself accidentally which rarely happens so I don’t expect this will wobble in use. But I haven’t decided if this is what I want. I’m in the middle of studio remodel and I’m adding an M50 Mark ii for videos and looking for the best setup for my overheads which is my primary video style.

Great setup for an overhead rig. But sometimes, with a desk setup like that, a little vibration from the table will shake the camera.. so if you're doing unboxing videos, keep that in mind.. another alternative is having a boom arm attached to a lighstand.. its out of the way and it's not attached to the desk. That's what I did with my videos. Pretty easy and it's under $100. Check it out if you're interested...

Hello. I thought I asked this question before, but I guess I neglected to hit the comment button. I am trying to film in my very small kitchen. I have a tripod which is quite heavy duty. I cannot connect anything to the counter top which is actually a stainless steel counter height table on wheels; reason being is that the camera will shake from any activity done on the counter, like using the stand mixer. I can't afford an expensive setup atm, so I am wondering what would I need to convert the tripod into a stable overhead camera rig? Thanks!

The problem with this setup is that any table vibrations will translate directly to camera shake. In my view if you are filming something top down where there is movement/motion (i.e. drawing), you'd probably be better off with a c-stand counterweighted with a sandbag, keeping the whole rig away from the table. At least that's what I've been doing.

Doesn't the camera shake (beit evet so slightly) when you touch the table?

How do you turn the picture around when recording across from the camera set-up?
The way it's set up, if you sit across from it, doesn't it record what your doing from an upside down perspective?

That's always my question. I can do it with my software but I'm always worried that the videos will look weird. And I can't seem to find anyone online who can answer this question.
