@@PattiJGood I watch several people honey & I make a lot of crafts, but I have to admit, you are the greatest of all. I know this with your gnome project here. Not sure about other things you make but I will be following & looking forward to another!!!! Thanks Patti! Blessings!
My granddaughter and I had so much fun making our gnomes! She said, "I love my little gnome so much!" Thank you for your wonderful directions. We not only made gnomes we made treasured memories.❤
Thanks Mary, I love to hear that. It is so good to hear that grandmothers craft with their grand children. It is great for treasured memories. I have some good ones of crafts I have done with mine as well.
I gave my neighbor 3 of these cause she’s just the sweetest thing! She’s 88 and still works full time to keep her insurance. She asked me if I could make her 20 of them so this video makes this possible! How could I say no💕
This was such a good step by step cause i have looked everwhere and this is the first one to pop up were u dont need to stitch anything 10/10 btw i can stop making then😭
I made this little guy in less than 10 minutes it doesn't get much easier! Thank you so much Patti for making this tutorial for this one sock gnome. I love it! Gonna make em' with my grand babies for gifts!
I laughed when you said go to Target because you're going to want a bunch of them. And here I sit with eight little gnomes looking at me thinking "I need more socks!"
My granddaughter and I went to Joannes last night to get all the items for making the knomes. I really wasn't sure how to do this but after seeing your video it looks so simple. Now I'm super excited to work on these little guys. Thank you so much for sharing and now I'll be making beautiful knomes with lots of memories working with my granddaughter.
I just love them, to me you make the best crafts on UA-cam, I've seen so many people and have not liked what I saw. You say each step so it makes it easy for us to follow. Hi from Lutz Florida USA
Love this method. I thought I'd never be able to find socks like that since we're coming into summer in Australia, but- lo and behold- it's a Christmas miracle! My local el-cheapo store had socks exactly like these for 2 pairs for $7.50. I'm sure I can do this with just a bit of hand-sewing. Thanks for sharing, Patti.
I've watched LOTS of videos on making gnomes and made several but this is my favorite one. I think the socks you're using to make the fur cuff on the hat are the difference. Thanks.
Since i watched many sock gnome tutorial, i was so curious. I like the most this tutorial, i used this tutorial mainly and i mixed it with my 1-2 little ideas too. :-) So surely i started to make sock gnomes. I never made gnomes before, i like gnomes usually. So for example i use for my sock gnomes wooden pearl as nose as you did in this tutorial and an own idea wooden pearls as hands and they suit to them great. :-) I made 3 of my gnomes to my friends as presents, but the most of my sock gnomes i keep them for myself. I plan i make more of them. Not too much, but more. I make them in every style, few of them are random, or special. I use to them buttons on their hat as decorations, but not in the hat's corner, i use them at the hat's center. Not for every gnomes i add buttons, but few of them i did/do. And i don't use white faux fur only as beard, i use them dark gray and brown too. Maybe once i will order beige-blonde faux fur too. Plus i make few girl gnomes too, not just boy gnomes. :-)
Sooooo darling. It makes me want to start being creative again. Have you tried attaching little bead eyes or anything like that? Or painting the nose pink, etc? You’re an inspiration!
Thank you so much. I bought some of the bead eyes, I will have to use them soon. I have not painted the nose, but that is a great idea. Thank you so much for the ideas.
4:34 seconds in and 1)You haven't said your gnome is "SUPER-CUTE!" or "I'm OBSESSED!" or assured me the finished craft would "look SO HIGH-END!"; 2)Your voice is perfectly modulated: you're not speaking in a monotone or being extra with your Inflections; 3) You don't remind us that you are a UA-cam Creator and you hang out with other UA-cam Creators, which makes you almost famous and just a tiny bit more special than your viewers. Based on these four things that made your video so enjoyable for this crafter, I subscribed & hit that notification button as instructed because I'm eager to see more of your projects; I won't need to spread them out and mix them up with other DIYers' videos to save my nerves. And I thank you for that. You are that breath of fresh air I knew I wanted but didn't expect to find. I can't wait to see what else we will make together!
