I always thought all Native Americas were dead imo the way they taught us in school. Come to find out these ppl didnt go down without a fight, they protected their land and i cant blame them for it. Only thing i wish was different is the way history is taught in our education system.

@floriankonrad3670 Americans schools teach kids that we went to Africa and literally stole Africans to put them on boats and make us look way worse than it was. Like we were the only people who used slaves. Zero mention of anyone else in the world. American schooling has a lot of backwards stuff in it, so even tho we "won", we ironically teach inaccurate history that demonize us.
I just had a college world history class a couple years ago and she completely skipped over Arab slave trade and even told us that they spread peacefully. Didn't go over the fact that they destroyed historical archives either. Americans censor the atrocities other people make and teach us that our ancestors were the worst. No nuance. All black and white.

While immigrants naturalized themselves by taking last names, the indigenous were enumerated by choosing Christianity and abandoning their tribal affiliations. Those who didn't are seen but not counted. Until they go to a hospital and fill out a birth certificate, making their children property of the state.The reservations are for immigrants who signed the Dawes roles to identify with a tribe to gain government funding promised to the Amerindians via Treaties falsely signed in representation of the tribal people by way of making an X on the dotted line.
