I love your ideas book Gayle. You are so organised. Thank you so much for your support and your constant inspiration. You were the first person I ever watched when I started junk journaling and love what you do. Xx
Thanks Gayle, it looks like a idea journal will be on my agenda! You are not the first youtuber to be doing this but you made it look like it might get me over my hump of depression or no motivation. I so appreciate you. 💜💜💜✌️🌞Sherry
Oh my gooey-marshmallow insides! I usually spend my morning with you, as I grade papers, but today started early due to student needs and, well, you are my lunch time indulgence. When I heard my name mentioned I got all twitter-pated and giddy (does anyone use that word any more?!). I am beyond pleased that you're also making an idea book. If nothing else, our craft should be fun and I love that you're having fun too. I really enjoy seeing your different take on the same pocket which is yet another thing to love about this wonderful craft! Thank you sweet friend, and as always, excellent work :)
Love this. It would make a great writing journal for someone who wants to use it just for that. I love how well your nail polish coordinates with your watch. Yes... We do notice everything, don't we. 😂 ❤️ Shirley
Hi Gayle!! The tags that you made for Anne Brooke's challenge are beautiful!! I think this pocket idea journal is wonderful because you can use it as a reference as well!! Your decorated pieces are very pretty!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Love all the ideas! I really love how you are doing these challenges and doing what you love. Good for you my friend.❤️. Now as for the guy journal and ephemera these are my go to things. Tim Holtz. He has great papers that are industrial and grungy and so much of his embellishment packets are great for this. I know you have a lot is his stuff. And especially the men paper dolls. Geometric design paper in black and gray and browns. Lots of distressing and coffee dye even when I collage I distress. Instead of lace I use ribbon and trims that are rustic like twine, burlap hemp and lots of cheesecloth and coffee dyed dryer sheets. I use gears and clocks instead of flowers. These are just the things I do. So maybe you can find something that will help you and that you will make your way. Have fun with it and don’t stress because it will be great whatever you choose to do. ❤️😊🦋
Thank you Gayle for doing what you do. Up at 4:30 am, losing some sleep over all the craziness going on. Listening to your voice reminds me I'm still on planet earth. lol
Hello Gayle! These are such cute ideas and different, thanks for sharing I will have to check out Cori's channel I have watched Sue. Hope your having a fabulous day!
Love these pockets! These ladies have great ideas! I crafted along with you and made these pockets. ❤️ Oh, and thank you for showing the instructions for the 12x12 paper pockets...lol...I was able to make them!
All of these pockets are so much fun! I have just about finished up my sample pocket book, but I had to make it a spiral bound because I just can't seem to make anything but chunky monkeys. I hear ya when you say you might not have enough time to do Rachel's challenge every week with doing your own videos. Since I started my channel about a year ago, I've been finding that to be true. I never realized how much time it takes to create videos, etc. and you do a lot of videos. Wow! TFS the inspiration, Gayle!
What a fun video Gayle! I like your ideas for 2021 projects and challenges.. You are a fantastic talented crafter, it'll be a breeze to you! I have no doubts. I am happy to see you using my flowers. I am making more, i have a lot of preorders I need to fill and for next week! hugs.
I love this idea! I actually started something like this and then got side-tracked. I'm going to get that journal out tomorrow and start filling it again. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the journal you chose as your pocket idea book and all the pocket ideas look fun! I hope you will show us how to make some of them … hint, hint!😆 thank for sharing everything! Hugs! 🤗💖🤗
Love the idea journal! I have a little book I had been drawing different ephemera how-to’s, but the idea journal is so much better - want- need- will make! Yay ❤️Thank you!
Just love watching your videos! Thank you for continuing to upload and help all of us newbies. Although I’ve been trying this for 3years, I still have so much to learn. Big ol hugz darlin!
We all keep learning. It’s all part of the process. So don’t worry it’s how it should be. That’s how we continue to grow in our art. Glad you are part of the community! I’m glad you also found Gayle because she is who I have learned the most from. Happy crafting!😊💐
Wonderful Gayle. So it’s not a - How to make a man journal, then lol. I have pockets that are in a plastic popper wallet that you showed how to make over two years ago. I get them out when I need inspiration and get stuck in a creative rut. I am doing Anne’s challenge too. I was sorting out for Tracie’s new challenge watching this along with sewing on buttons for a cardi for my new grandaughter. Have a wonderful weekend Gayle xx
I would love to see a video of you going through some of your idea journals and picking out your top favorites, then remaking them to show us. Maybe for patreon or something? Idk, just an idea that I personally would love to watch 💕
I’m hoping to get back to my Making Ephemera series soon. For now though, I have a playlist, Making Ephemera!, which has a bunch of ideas for pockets and ephemera of all kinds. And, yes, definitely I’ll be doing some special pieces on Patreon. 😁❤️
Hi Gayle. I think this is such a good- an idea journal for pockets. I have had an idea's journal in 2020, that is now super big. I won't have such a lot of time this year, but still wanted something structured to do. I will follow you. I will do selective idea journal. Many thanks for sharing this. It is exactly what I needed.
So many great ideas for pockets!! I have a journal with samples of pockets and flips. So nice to refer back to it when I need inspiration!! Also use a journal to write ideas in, but it's easier to see the actual item made. Power has been out since midnight...high winds. Not sure if I'll be able to craft today, too cold in she shed!! Have an awesome day...💜
This idea book is such a great idea! I watch videos and make things and then forget about them. This way I can go through the book while I’m making journals for inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Will go and watch these ladies videos.
I feel for you with the migraines. I have been battling them for a month now. I think the weather has a lot to do with them as well. Here in Texas it is so wish washy that we never have any idea what going to happen.
I got my challenge/planner yesterday from Margarete Miller. I haven’t done any collage work so it’s really going to be a challenge for me. I love watching Anne’s 52 tag challenge too! One challenge at a time for me as I’m already feeling over my head. 😳
I think it's awesome you'll be doing some challenges that'll make you happy...have fun & enjoy!! 😊💖 I'm doing the same Margarete Miller 2021 Collage planner one as you, & also CatHand's MMM(mixed media morsels) Book of Colors...she announces one color per month to collage(UA-cam) I needed that "mojo boost" you mentioned!! 😘
The Idea Journal is a wonderful suggestion Gayle! So often I resort to making the same pockets and conventional tags, where this will inspire me to make something a little more fun!🥰
