Hi Gail my name is Candy Allen mother of four grandmother of 9 and great grandma to one. I love your work. I found your videos ephemera series yesterday, haven't stopped watching them. I love crafting, sewing, gardening and being with my grandkids. I absolutely love your over the page embellishes. I never thought to use a paperclip like that, awesome idea.
Happy Crafting Sunday Gayle! I use small photo albums from the dollar tree and remove the pockets, made a ephemera holder using them, sewed them on card stock. Have a great day! 👍🌸🌸🌸
Love this idea! It’s so fun to watch you craft Gayle, you just handle everything like a Boss and I’m over here getting ink all over my hands, glue in my hair and picking my papers up off the floor 170 times! 😂😂😂
I've had to pop back in! I just LOVE these. Been making them and just made one that I really like, half way between the 2 lengths that you show, but with a pocket on the bottom of each side and a tag in each to journal on. Thought some of you may like to try that idea to.
Hi Gayle 🖐🏻 I just loves these crip thinge! I made 15 of them, couldn’t stop myself!, so much fun . Thank you so much for sharing with us!! 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🤩😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
P.S. I also never knew that you fold on a score Valley to Mountain. What a good way to remember that. It's right up there with Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey that I learned from my husband.
Last night (3-29-21) I was watching UA-cam. Fell asleep and woke up to this gem on my TV!! I’m so excited to try these. They look so simple that I was slapping myself. Lol. Why didn’t I think of this! I hope they will be as easy as my sleep deprived brain let me think. I love the way they dress up even a simple page. Can’t wait to try them! (Don’t you just love it when things come to you in your sleep! Lol)
Made 11 of these and now decorating. Just used cheap paper and didn’t worry about matching small to large pieces. What a great scrap buster and so fun.
Those ARE super cool. Plus, I think even I can make them, BECAUSE your instructions are always very clear...that's why I learn all my core techniques from you. LOTS of UA-camrs are not so thorough to be kInd. As always, thanks you for not only sharing but showcasing some of the best artists out there. Or as my friend's granddaughter told her at her 5th birthday party, "You know the best people."
Good for you doing COPY of this beautiful bit of history. Makes my teeth hurt when people cut up old book illustrations when a copy would save book for another generation!
Loved and made these. Instead of struggling to line up top edge.....always left a portion to fold over. Usually an asymmetrical or torn edge for interest. Love 💘 your peaceful friendly style of video.
On my goodness! How cute, gorgeous, darling, and every other word I haven't used to describe how much I love these pieces of art! Such inspiration and talent. Thank you for sharing all of this.
I am new to junk journaling and I just love your channel. I am trying new things and having fun in this crazy time we are living. thank you for all your sharing!!
Telephone book great find!!! Love the embroidered words beautiful, I have learned so much from you and I need to watch you because you always brighten my day. Love SM Tiffany Lane xoxo
Oh - I love these altered paper clips. They are very similar to some I have made before, but I love the idea having a base that I can make in advance ready to decorate when I’m ready. I really love the collage one... I think it was my favourite!!! Thank you so much for sharing Gayle and a Thank You Geneta!!! These are fun!!! Big hugs, Sharon 🌷💜
Love the video!!💖💖💖🙏 Also Gayle, I just want you to know I wasn't being critical.... I just saw that blade that looks very similar to a scapel and was concerned about your fingers ....I've seen too many accidents I guess😬. I really enjoy your videos and I learn a lot💖
I love these Gayle thank you so much for sharing. I have made smaller ones using bobby pins inspired by my friend Ali, The Cockney Crafter here on UA-cam. So fun! Hugs, Amy
I have made these ‘hidden paper clips ‘ for over a year. My favorite way to alter paperclips. I’m new to papercrafts(in my second year) and this was one of the first techniques I found on YT- who?? I don’t know- but I don’t recognize the name you mentioned. Maybe
I'm a big fan of Hidden Paper clips, if you use a thin piece of fun foam in the middle part of the paper clip it will help Ease fold over without it becoming warpy. I have a playlist on my channel if you want see how I do 'em. Again love 'em all xo
What a cute little thinking of you gift for a reader or student to use as a paper clip. I will have to make some of these for sure. Thank you for sharing this idea.
My goodness, I'm so happy that I finally found this. I saw you show one off in a Christmas video and tried to find them and came up empty-handed. I was just scrolling and there it was! I just made 4 along with you and now I'm going to go find a bunch of card for the bases. I love these embellliclips.
These are so clever! I love your chose of papers, too. You could even put a pocket on it for a tag. And I know the last tag you didn't finish will be gorgeous, too!
Oh geez. Thank you Gayle for showing these. I am just now getting to the video. Done with my work job and on to my fun job! I was wondering why I had many sales. I just thought it was because of Friday pay day. Turned on the video while I dye some more paper and voila!! More embroidery thread on the way since I cannot shop in person. I will have a full stock soon. Haven’t even finished watching your play but I know I will love it. Thank you and sending hugs. Veronica
Check out Treasure Books video on these over the page paper clips. She layers the paper clip between the decorative papers and glues that packet to the main piece of paper/cardstock. You don't have to cut the paper and the paperclip is totally hidden. Love your work and enthusiasm.
The first time I watched this video, I watched the whole video, thought I had it, went away and absolutely got myself so confused, I just couldn't remember anything! Of course, I did not remember the name of the video, so it took me a while to get back to it. you are so right, it's not so complicated. This time, I did it with you, and it is sooo simple! WHAT WAS MY ISSUE!? Anyway, what a neat embili-clip! Thanks, hope you don't get tired of being re-played over and over....
Never tired of folks coming back! That’s the beauty of UA-cam. If we forget something, we can re-watch over and over again! Thanks so much for being an avid watcher!!! ❤️
Oh wow Gayle, these look like fun to make. Great, clear instructions so I'll get onto doing them, just such a fab way to pep up my blank pages with some vintage bling! Thanks for sharing, love, love your videos, hope the weather perks up for you later, hugs XXXXX
Nice! Personally I would leave out the middle piece of card if the top layer was sturdy enough on its own, like scrapbook paper. Don’t think it is needed and it would reduce bulk and save me some paper. My supplies are limited 😉 Have a nice day Gayle 👍🏽❤️
Love these, I have been reading a lot. Going to make a couple for bookmarks. We have had a lot of gloomy rainy days lately. Week forecast is finally warm and sunny 🌞. Going to finally open our pool.
I love these but am lost about the mechanics of it; I wish you had opened it up so that we could see the inside and see how the paper clip works. Great video and gorgeous decoration. Thanks!
Another amazing idea...junk journaling is never ending with ideas! 💕💕. I think I will decoupage napkins on it and also a good way to use up those scraps you accumulate with JJ. Ty again for your amazing videos much appreciated. 👍🌸🌸🌸
I have that same cutter and I cannot see the numbers to save my life! Fiskars really made a huge design flaw on this one. I love this idea! Really cute!
This is an amazing idea. I love it. These will look fantastic embellished or just with the fancy paper attached to them. Wonderful so many things can be done with these. I will do these for sure! Thank you for a great tutorial and inspiration! Xx 💞💞
Oh my gosh Gayle! I LOVE these! Thank you for sharing how to make them. I have seen them on other videos but no real directions or measurements! Thank you so much! Have a beautiful day and many hugs and blessing to you big sister! 🤗💖🤗🙏🏻
I've watched another crafter (Tea Time n Dolls) make some similar to these. I don't think she put the slit in the top layer. Just kept the paper clip totally hidden. I could use some of the flatter flower clusters for these. I also bought the doll stamps that Tea Time N Dolls used. I love them. I know how some suppliers keep you needing more and more supplies. Now I need jell pens to color them
these are wonderful - i love making them - the one that you were having trouble with - i can see something like a key, or a heart with wings, or even a dress form - but lol - i'm sure its already done - love what you created Gayle - TFS xx
Good Morning Gayle, happy Thursday! Can’t wait to see all the journals you create from what you shown us today! Have a wonderful day! 👍🎄🎄🎄
Here I am a year later learning more new-to-me things!! Thanks so much for keeping your videos.❤️

I've watched this twice and think your technique is the best of all tutorials I have seen previously. 😺

Well honestly Gayle!! These are the neatest! I’m so excited to make some .... thank you so much...

Good for you doing COPY of this beautiful bit of history.
Makes my teeth hurt when people cut up old book illustrations when a copy would save book for another generation!
Not everybody can copy or has a printer 🤷🏻♀️ Downloads are useless if you can’t download or print🧐
Oh my goodness- what a great idea! Can’t wait to make some for my journals. Thank you so much for sharing- hugs Emily
Loved and made these. Instead of struggling to line up top edge.....always left a portion to fold over. Usually an asymmetrical or torn edge for interest. Love 💘 your peaceful friendly style of video.
I learn so much from your videos. You are such a sweet soul for sharing with us!
I use "old" magazines cut-outs for my scraps on the clips.
This vid may be 3 years old, but what a fun embellishment to add to my idea book. It will remind me to make them for my journals!!
It looks like a present with the bow on top. Loving it.
So often I just get caught up watching you but today I made 9 of these fun clips! Thanks so much, Gayle!
On my goodness! How cute, gorgeous, darling, and every other word I haven't used to describe how much I love these pieces of art! Such inspiration and talent. Thank you for sharing all of this.

Looking for inspiration for paperclips. Oh wowsas. I love this concept. And I need to now get into this today . 👍🏻👍🏻💜💜TFS Gayle.

Totally brilliant ideas and so pretty. Definitely making these..... gives more character to your journal, impressive!
Good morning, sweet Gayle.
Good morning, sweet friend! ❤️
Gayle, when you put that blade through the paper turn that sharp blade edge away from your left hand(retired surgical nurse here😬)
Love the video!!💖💖💖🙏 Also Gayle, I just want you to know I wasn't being critical.... I just saw that blade that looks very similar to a scapel and was concerned about your fingers ....I've seen too many accidents I guess😬. I really enjoy your videos and I learn a lot💖

Hello Gayle, beautiful, beautiful tags you made . Keep safe as things slowly come alive . 💞💖💞

What fun! So easy to make a pile of bases to grab when you need to add a bit of something to a themed journal!
I love this! Thank you for always having such good instructions to follow.
These are so clever! I love your chose of papers, too. You could even put a pocket on it for a tag. And I know the last tag you didn't finish will be gorgeous, too!
