    What a wonderful video to wake up to today. And what a great project for those times when you just want to sew, but at the end you wind up with lots of gifts for housewarmings, teachers, secret Santa, hostess gifts - the list goes on because there are so many occasions to give a small gift. Thank you!

    I ever met a scrap I didn’t like! Such an easy, clever way to use them.
    You could make a whole kitchen set out of them. Everyday placemats and mug rugs, pot holders… a great gift idea for kids just setting up their first kitchen. ❤

    I find that by adding a folded triangle on one or both corners of the backing square I make a fancier pot holder that is more convenient to use .... I have also used single layer triangles. ..... I have also been making handle covers for my pot handles matching my pot holders and trivets . Reminds everyone the handles are hot.

    Love this video, Annette. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤ I'm curious about your sewing machine set-up, table, etc. What version if Singer machine do you have? Is your table custom made or can a similar one be purchased with the machine? It's so nice to have quick little sewing projects for little gifts. 😊

    • @fbc5449
      @fbc5449 10 місяців тому +2

      No it's not enough. I use either double Insulbrite or a layer of cotton quilt batting and a layer of Insulbrite.

    • @sunbeamfabricart
      @sunbeamfabricart  10 місяців тому +1

      Opinions differ. The package says to use 2 for oven mitts. I have found one to be enough in my kitchen for pot holders to pull something out of the oven, and place between pans and granite countertops. Have fun!!! ☀️

    I see people cutting threads up close….does that not cause seams to come undone??????

    • @sunbeamfabricart
      @sunbeamfabricart  10 місяців тому

      It could with usage. To prevent that just backstitch 2 or 3 stitches and that would not come undone.
