Jinjer is one of the most consistently impressive bands out there. They always manage to have a catchy groove, yet layer it with complexity that keeps you coming back to pick more of the details out. Then the more you pick out, the better the song gets.
They talk about their writing process a bit in the recently released video Jinjer From Nothing from Audiotree. They talk about the bands history and friendships as well and play three songs from Wallflowers. A great watch and it's a cool format with the songs interspersed.
They are indeed *SO* good!! All 4 of them. :) This is *A LOT* to take in on first listen. LOL The melody, harmony, rhythmic change-ups, syncopation on top of that.... so much brain-tickling complexity from the lads.... & then Tatiana manages to come up with those vocal lead & harmony lines over the top o_O She doesn't get enough credit for the quality of writing she creates over the lads' already complex music. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long to buy a new Jinjer album. :)
I love this new song by Jinjer, always love Jinjer! I've done some amateur dabbling in music, but I love hearing musicians talk about Jinjer, they're just so good! I love the portrayals of Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie and (I think) Georgia O'Keeffe, although since we know Tatiana loves Frida Kahlo (as do I) because of that tattoo on her arm, I will always think of that character in this video as Georgia O'Keeffe on the outside and Frida Kahlo on the inside. Great reaction, Josh! Thank you for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤️ 🖤 🤘
@neilpatrickhairless Yes, my mother had that album. I used to listen to it all the time back in the 90's when I was in High School. Album Of The Year as well.
From a fellow Adelaidian so nice to see Jinjer back on your channel! Love your analysis and what you take away from it all. Also, the EXACT same situation for me when I discovered them just after they were here - and at Lion Arts? CMON 😭 AND I share your thoughts exactly - headless guitars and basses, nuh uh. Eugene’s though - I’ll take any day of the week.
It was kind of a lesson in women's history as well! I'm not sure who the painter was portraying, but Cleopatra and Joan of Arc were 2 of the most impactful women in the history of the world. Cleopatra united two warring empires, and Joan almost single handedly ended the hundred years war. Just another spectacular showing by one of the best metal bands in history (in my opinion! )
Jinjer still doing Jinjer things, only newer and better! Love Jinjer!
Too good

This 👆🏻
Phenomenal song once more from this band for me it just gets better with every listen...
It’s so sick
Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, Marie Curie and Frida Kahlo (the artist) are some great women to portray with the message of the song.
Amazing
1:17 this is the moment. And we've all had this moment.
I swear we falling love again every video 🤣
I feel like Opeth should do a tour with Jinjer.
Love Jinjer .....thank you so much Josh.... great reaction ....SUBSCRIBED!!!!
Thank you, such a great band!
Jinjer continues to grow and mature. Can't wait to see where they go.

Heaps
Yas!!!!! Finally!
SO GOOD
Jinjer are never content to stay in one place, constantly evolving and leveling up!
🖤
They have another song that they played live and it’s on another level. It will probably be the next release.
Super cool ✌️🤘🎵
💯
Jinjer new song rogue very good and video of rogue is good
Ya, this does feel like a modern S.O.A.D. song.
💯
Listen to Faith No More in the mid 90's... King for a Day era.... Mike Patton is all over the vocal to this song which is a very good thing

@@neilpatrickhairless Patton is the GOAT of vocalists as far as versatility in my opinion
Jinjer - From Nothing (Live Audiotree Performance)
Jinjer - Call Me A Symbol (Official Live in LA)
Keen

I've got another bassist that uses the headless bass and has 6 strings, and utilize bass solos. Try beyond creation and their song earthborn evolution
JINJER...best players, best stage presence and best vocals. No one does it like, TATI...
Would love to see them live

The painter could be either Frida Kahlo or Georgia O'Keeffe
🤘🤘
You have to react to Amira elfkey next 🙌🏿

There next song fast draw . Is going to kick you in the face.
