Seriously looking at either the Tacx Neo Bike or Kickr Bike, I have a 1st gen Neo but the plastic creaking is annoying and always has been and can imagine the bike been more plastic to creak. The one thing putting me off the Kickr is the poor display.
Liking my Wahoo Kickr! People's points about fat bikes are good, too. I already have a fat bike, but a cold weather indoor ride or option if conditions are no good will be nice. Hello from Heather in NoCo Please subscribe to my channel, too.
Looks great, great overview! I feel it seems very first gen for a smart trainer, which is a shame, I think I'll be waiting for the MkII if spending this sort of cash for one, in tech we always seem to get burned buying the Gen1 product.
Thanks! I'm sure there will be refinements over time but I have to give them props even though it is their first gen. They did a lot of things right but as noted, there is some room for improvement.
Hi Dusan, this was a media loaner unit from Wahoo and not a personal device so I can't comment on the long-term use. Sorry about that! Overall, I did quite like it and the creaking issues that I mentioned were probably the only real complaint I had about it. Thanks.
Sorry for that bit of crackling noise around 7:40 or so in the video. Not exactly sure what happened! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic bike and video! Surprised that nobody else has mentioned those calves. 💪🏼
Ha! Thanks Michael!
🎅🏼
I see your 🎅🏼 and raise you a ⛄.
At this absurd price there should be absolute silence.
Noise like that is completely unacceptable and I suspect will cost them millions in sales.
Great overall review. I can not wait till Wahoo sends me one to review. Probably next year. Heck, maybe version 2 will be out then.

The Kickr bike has more moving parts though and it could actually be louder in terms of creaking than the Neo bike.

Looks pretty cool for the folks to whom it’s marketed.
Exactly. Only for a certain crowd but very cool for that crowd!

Is there some way to link this with a virtual route with some visuals and change in intensity?
Yup! It works with indoor cycling training platforms like Zwift, Rouvy, and others that have the virtual cycling experience.
great review mate, have been thinking of pulling the trigger on one, think I will now, powerful calves there buddy
Hi,
I am wondering if you are still using this bike and if you would recommend it even after year of using.
Thanks
Dusan

"For you?" "Yeah" Slams seat.... hahaha.... classic.
😂
Great review as always. When is your Fenix 6 review going to land?
Think that’s going to break to many things going on
Have you had any shifting issues with this? I get trouble evry ride with mine.
Can you tell us more about this? Have you contacted Wahoo, and what have they suggested as a solution?
Why haven’t you reviewed the new Tacx Neo 2T? Why?
Tacx didn't send me one to review 🤷♂️
