I needed this. I moved into a house a year sgo and it is a “doer upper” and I hate how it is not a show home.. because it makes me feel like I am not a good enough wife.. so I tend to avoid people coming to the house. Watching this has made me realise that I’m doing enough . My house is clean cared for and my children are taking care of and are happy… thank you❤

Wonderful video, Heidi. I have always struggled with comparison and materialism in some way. It wasn't until I started teaching E.S.L. that my heart really changed. I work with so many people who've come out of awful situations & don't even have a mattress to sleep on. Humbling! ♥️🇨🇦
I love this! I am listening and humbling myself dearly. I am about to paint my dining room and hallway so it makes me chuckle. But it’s not because I’m trying to make it the newest brightest thing to impress people. It’s because it looks shoddy and needs some love, you always inspire me Heidi!
Fun fact: Hobby lobby is in a time warp. You tell your family that you’re just gonna go in there for five minutes to grab some thing and when you come out, your kids that were in preschool have already graduated from college. Five minutes in Hobby lobby is roughly 5 years in the rest of the world.
I'm beginning to see that my obsession with decorating my home and always changing it over and over, I spend WAY too much money on decorating to re decorate it odten.... I got a problem with it, please pray God's help as I try to stop throwing g money where it doesn't need to be. We have 5 kids still at home and 2 grown ... I love your videos..I needed this eye opener
All of these points are so on-point but two especially hit home where God has been working on me. The people pleasing has taken a toll on my spirit, soul & body in many ways. The materialism of repeatedly buying the same things over and over. The Lord put Matthew 6:19-21 in my path many many times over the years and you mentioning it as well was another perfect message of confirmation from our faithful Father. Thank you sweet sister for being such a steadfast example and for your ministry. I know we are not going to do everything perfectly but but by the grace of God go I ! Philippians 1:6-7. ❤️
Thank you for sharing, the point that resonated with deeply are we doing things that God has been blessed or doing things so others can perceive us in a perspective way. I am so glad I was able to listen to this word of encouragement
