All snobbery aside, that's just a lovely watch. Also nice to acknowledge that $650 is an insane amount of money for most people on planet Earth, but they are not looking at buying a piece of decorative metal for their wrist (with an iphone in their pocket). For people buying swiss watches, this is insane value, almost ludicrously cheap.

I’ve handled these in the flesh and it’s like you say, definitely has a cheaper feel than a multi thousand pound watch but for the price point it’s good enough. Really compelling prospect to consider
Recently aquired a seiko Alpinist SPB197 (mountain glacier) and with 2 bar of water resitance a screw down crown, 70 hours of power reserve and that beautful light blue dial, i belive is the best watch in this category especially because i payed for a new one only 580 euros!
Great video as always! I bought the quartz reference for my birthday last year. I bought the quartz simply because I had to wait for another few months for the powermatic versions to arrive in stores where I live. I think looking back, i used to prefer the waffle dial in photos. But seeing it in person. I totally agree with you on the dial finishing compared to the rest of the watch. That’s why I kinda like the brushed dial of the quartz better now. Just simpler and doesn’t try to be what it isn’t! Great watch though. The only thing I’m not in love with (at least for my quartz version) is the second hand not hitting the markers perfectly! But the watch itself gives me the same pleasure I get from my BB58. It’s cool as

Great video, perfect exposures, great voiceover too. The review of this watch is also honest and I've learnt something new as I was certainly among those who had "this is just another Royal Oak homage" on the tip of my tongue! And I wasn't aware of their 70s model too. Anways, given the minimalistic design of this watch, it would be perfect if Tissot would offer a plain, untextured dial (just look at how cleaner the Oyster looks). And, a no-date dial would be another step up in my opinion. Happy new year and best wishes from Malta
It's an integrated stainless steel watch with a blue waffle dial and silver hands at 40mm case size. I dont know if the guy is being sarcastic, it doesnt translate in that case. It's OBVIOUSLY an AP royal oak copy. You have to be blind to disagree. A blue waffle dial is super specific to the AP. We could just end it at that. Ask 100 watch guys about their association with a waffle dial and 100% will say: AP Royal Oak. As said, it's not just the dial: stainless steel, integrated strap, basically same size, very similar hands and indices. The only difference is the octogonal shape of the AP, which if you're doing that, you are for sure getting sued combined with the identical rest.
Amazing review as ever. For me the quartz piece with the sunburst dial is the pick of the bunch. It’s probably the most expensive looking cheap watch I’ve ever seen
Great entry level point for Swiss mechanical watches. Would really like a 37-38mm iteration of this. The 35 seems a bit too small, while 40 is on the larger side. 37.5mm would probably be ideal for this style. Great review btw!
Because of the "heritage" Quartz version is the way to go for. At least the day Tissot will let the second hand to align with the markers as in any Citizen watch!
It’s quite large for a time only watch, but fine if your wrist has the right size. The case has better finishing than the bracelet. As for the price: you can find a 1970s Omega Geneve with either an automatic or handwound movement and a similar design. A 1972 design, to be exact.
You can hold your breath now. On their social media, Tissot has hinted that a 36mm PRX is in the works. Rumors speak of additional dial choices. I have my AD on the case, and will be buying as SOON as it hits. ;)
Just bought it 2 days ago for $500 sharp (after a hefty 30% discount on it), can't be any happier. For that price the PRX comfortably obliterates every other Swiss watch within its given budget!
Great video and review as always. Your videos so far made me buy 4 watches that I now own and love. About Tissot and PRX, what I don’t like is that they cut corners all the time. Why don’t they have screwed crown and screwed case back? Also, like you said why mineral crystal on the case back? Lastly, the movements are not regulated at all, so, it’s mostly hit or a miss. It’s unfortunate that you can’t diy regulate with this movement or case back so easily. Needless to say, I am not getting it.
prx quartz for me. Prefer the dial and for an EDC watch I am completely fine with a quartz movement. The finishing you get for the price is top notch as well.
Great review, appreciate! Still confuse about the caseback crystal, in other website it said a sapphire crystal on caseback, i also doubt that the caseback mineral is sapphire, have you tried to test the caseback crystal?
Love this PRX. I've tested this before one week in an own review. With 70`s vibes... 😂😂 Bit your blue Rolex looks great, too! Many thanks for sharing. Have a nice evening!
Here I am a year later breezing past the 35mm powermatic model straight to the DIGITAL model. I really like the gold 35mm digital one. Am I beyond help? Am I a watch God? It's got to be one or the other.
I adore this watch but find the large dimensions kind of undermine the vintage aesthetic. I am debating between this and the Tissot Gentleman, which is also 40mm, and the styling of the gentleman just seems to fit the size much better IMO. Although, I would prefer the gentleman at 38mm still, haha. Tissot has hinted that a 36mm version of the PRX could be a possibility in the future though...
Great review. Well said, nice mention of the price point and the reality for the average person. With that being said, I think this is a nice first watch for some people.

Nice to see companies remaking some of the old watches with a modern touch.
This looks really charming on you! Big fan
Because of the "heritage" Quartz version is the way to go for. At least the day Tissot will let the second hand to align with the markers as in any Citizen watch!
Really really really hope tissot makes some awesome straps for this.
Same
It’s quite large for a time only watch, but fine if your wrist has the right size.
I have my AD on the case, and will be buying as SOON as it hits. ;)
Hinted where?
Yeah dude hinted where?! :D
@@AdamZitek I've replied to this post THREE times with links. My replies keep getting removed. You're gonna hafta look it up yourself.
It's such a great watch. I'm holding out for a 36mm variant with some alternative dial colours. I might be waiting a while :)
I hope not. But you might be right.
35mm June 2022!
Great video! To me, textured digital excluded, this resembles my blue dial Zenith Defy Classic quite a bit.
I can see that.
Have it, love it...there is nothing as good for the money on the market, period.
Just bought it 2 days ago for $500 sharp (after a hefty 30% discount on it), can't be any happier. For that price the PRX comfortably obliterates every other Swiss watch within its given budget!
How and where did you get the discount? Enjoy your watch.
Blue or black dial for quartz?
Another incredible video brother 👏
Thanks, buddy
Great review, appreciate! Still confuse about the caseback crystal, in other website it said a sapphire crystal on caseback, i also doubt that the caseback mineral is sapphire, have you tried to test the caseback crystal?
probably the best watch under 1000USD I've ever owned, I bought 2.
I have one with the white dial and it’s awsome
Watching this while wearing my black PRX Powermatic 80 😎
It was a nice video. Thanks for it!
May I ask you which one do you choose? Tissot prx powermatic 80 or Seiko SRPB41?
Love this PRX. I've tested this before one week in an own review. With 70`s vibes... 😂😂 Bit your blue Rolex looks great, too! Many thanks for sharing. Have a nice evening!
Thanks
I always like to come get your unrequested opinion.
I find this watch interesting but the 51mm length puts me off as well as the 40mm diameter.
It’s thin but not small.
Overall I have to say thanks for this bluntly honest and great insight.
Immediately reminded me of an Rolex Oysterquartz from the late 70ies
Another fantastic video!
Thanks
Here I am a year later breezing past the 35mm powermatic model straight to the DIGITAL model. I really like the gold 35mm digital one. Am I beyond help? Am I a watch God? It's got to be one or the other.
You couldnt have chosen better music. Bravo.
Thanks
6:38. Lol. That was exactly my mindset when I bought it!
Any thoughts on the green dial? I recently purchased one and it’s gorgeous to look at in sunlight
35mm is out now in quartz
@@Sturnburn772 yes! I am hopeful an auto version will follow soon
I'm deciding to get the prx in quartz 35 mm (I have small wrist) and gentleman powermatic 80. Best of both worlds 😀
I have this watch with a blue leather strap, love it!
Great review. Well said, nice mention of the price point and the reality for the average person. With that being said, I think this is a nice first watch for some people.
Very cool watch. Tissot nailed it with this one I think, even the quartz version.
For quartz should I go black or blue dial?
