- This was originally a teaser for the june steam next fest demo, but the demo was changed due to either time constraints or a press thing. so this is basically just a wishlist trailer so yeah enjoy ig. atleast it reveals a new artstyle.

This is one heck of a glow-up! This last artstyle shift to far zanier cartoonish stretch and squish is doing the heavy lifting to really help give this one its own character!
I like how freezy turned into a kind of rival boxer to the player the player can get buff for a few pwerful hits and freezy has the whole ice cold killer thing
in soupmester short freezy is still scared and nervous that was his hurt spirt after beating him with yellow light or super punch

That would be a cool thing that he has a second phase where he's way more faster because of the weight of water that he lost.

"Trigger Happy is either just a minor with some crazy hyperviolent tendencies or a person suffering from dwarvism with hyperviolent tendencies and a baby face, and she brings a FUCKING SLEDGEHAMMER into the ring! Its expression changes all over the place, making me think it is alive, meaning it might not have consented to this at all, further reinforced by its grin when she is defeated and it falls onto her, also meaning she had other people with her in the ring against her opponent, which anyone should know is illegal! Titanic seems to be using water as steroids for some reason, SOMEHOW, and you can punch it out of him that is likely because of permanent stomach trauma, meaning THE FUCKING PROTAGONIST gets an infraction as well,..."
Well not really but titanic is just way too overweight to be a fighter, i feel there is like a rule forebiding guys that are over 5000 kg

@@Shardy3000the stuff they put in pools and hot tubs to make the water self-cleanable or atleast look clean, it is not safe to consume especially at large amounts, explains why Titanic looks so sick and droopy when we see him in the demo after he slurped up all the pool water, especially when there were still people swimming inside it
I love on how this almost feels like a mixed between pizza tower and antonblast with the whole look of this game as it’s so cartoon like that it almost feels like those two games with the animations here, as you know this game will be a very great game by the animations and great pixel direction alone here.
tip: the teaser seems to be sped up and doesnt reflect the actual game speed so if you want to watch it witht he actual games peed then go to custom playback speed and put on 0.8x or 0.85x

Don’t get too excited. The new development teasers went back to the previous look.
Don't ask me why, but I feel we'll see both of his designs. Maybe in his first fight he is the brute we see in the alpha demo and in the rematch he'll have his new crazy ass design. Something tells me Freezy Boy is scared, but ends up accepting his "Ice Cold Killer" side.
I just realized that when Freezy Boy is hit, blocks of ice fall down, what a nice detail.
Alright, this actually looks a hell of a lot better then what I've seen. If the developers were looking for a looney tunes inspired style for art, they will succeed with this. Now to see if the gameplay can be more challenging cause currently I've seen it being unfiting for my desired exhilaration.
Love how dynamic the protagonist is. The way his hair whips and all helps add to the power of his punches. Looks like some bosses got nerfed, Titanic 5000 for example. Just completed the entire old demo all challenges, so I can say I'm glad some very awesome changes are being made.
Yeah. Kinda sucks. Would have preferred if maybe the roster was changed a bit.
Trigger happy did feel like she got nerfed a bit too, although maybe for the better because even though I love the fast paced action of her original fight, a bit more reaction time is welcomed.
Also feels like the new antagonist will be able to select their lightning power, cuphead style. Although I hope it doesn't overcomplicate the game too much.
But still, I love this new update. I can't wait for the final product to be released
@@jossuecabrera8611 With Trigger Happy in particular I feel the original reaction time fit her pace because well, she's on a rampage. It's not like it's difficult to react to either, I definitely had an easier time learning her patterns as opposed to Titanic 5000, who doesn't telegraph his attacks as much.
Wasnt expecting another artstyle change, but this is by far the best one yet! Hopefully they stick with this one
One Hit Wonder is definitely going to be an interesting boss.
Can't wait to see how many infractions all of the boxers get!

From what I've seen, most boxers get at least one infraction pertaining to one of the following (I'll provide some examples between brackets):
- Age (One Hit Wonder, Mr. Adyltmen, Trigger Happy maybe)
- Improper attire e.g. long hair, long beards, unauthorized helmets, capes, hats (Wild Dude, Coach Skank, Freezy Coolz/Ice Cold Killer)
- Fighting while holding something that aren't boxing gloves (Trigger Happy, Jim Chad, Dr. Braun, some other dude who brings some dogs and a gun)
- Illegal maneuvers e.g. headbutting, slapping, grabbing (Titanic 5000, Toxic Love, probably every single fighter except the player character)
- Breaking the code of conduct (Coach Skank)
- Outright bullshit (Bruno Banana being a monkey in a mech, DTR Boss bringing an entire gang into a boxing match, Rick and Nick fighting 2v1)
PS: apparently having a different weight class isn't an infraction per se, but it's obvious a 5000 kilogram dude shouldn't be fighting against a normal person

And no, not even a rematch design. It's confirmed since we got shown freezy cools, which looks more closer to freezy boy.

The art style has changed so much throughout development that seeing such a giant glow up like this is kind of jarring, and gives me a bit of whiplash seeing every single big change they made to everything in the game.
Animation went from "smoother than the average Twitch chat brain" to "literally has no friction"

To be fair, we know from the demos a majority of Titanic’s weight is just all of the damn water he drank. DTR Boss on the other hand is just a mountain of body fat
He technically weighs even more than 10 thousand pounds because that scale said kg.

0:32 DTR was so fat that his own henchmen got banished to the shadowrealm when he got squished by him
BTW, I do love the concept of his fight. Having to deal with all the henchmen working together before you can actually hit the main boss. It's a standard concept in most games, but in a different genre that looks like would be executed well.

In the actual DTR boss, you fight his henchmen and the he falls over them, giving you time to hit him

Looking at the trailer (and the comments), i can see that there might be possible boss rematches with such design changes that even kirby EX bosses would be put to shame, or they could be added phases to bosses (freezy boy, Dr. Brawn and coach shank are the ones I could find). Either way, these are welcoming additions to the game and i hope it find success.
(Although one thing is concerning, wheres the wild dude?)

Not to say that the art is bad... but part of me wants them to stick to one art style all the way through to the finished project. I get they have an actual funding now so they can afford it but I liked the second style ok. I just hope all these changes will be worth it in the end.
I'd definitely say it is, whilst the animation before was fluid, the motions and the flow of everything was kinda lacking, so I'm glad they really took the time make everything more punchy

I don't know if you reused the animations of the demo and upgrade them. But this is like the 3rd time you remade this project. I don't say it's a bad thing, but doing it too much is gonna kill your project slowly (Skull and bones is an example).
Despite that, the game by itself seems to be in a very good track. The character are more silly-like and more alive.

The closet I can find is DTR Boss’s theme. The melodies sound similar but they’re basically different. Probably a newer version or DTR Boss’s theme used in this trailer

@@gamingguy918 a lot of their features are pointier than they were originally like the hair, glasses, and teeth.
They're also shorter. You can see in footage from original teasers on the developers' Twitter that they were standing in the original design but now they're being elevated by a robot
