Megadeth is still my favourite jazz band
Megadeth almost always has a great reaction on this channel. Please always keep it in the mix of these reactions.
I think he’d really enjoy Ashes In Your Mouth
Amazing song
Yes! I’ve been pushing for this song for a while now! I think he’d really dig it
Yes, and maybe "Highspeed Dirt"
I'm a simple man. I see Megadeth, I click like
16:43 Really! I love the vocals the first time I heard them. What kind of voice would you expect from a man with mental illness saying 'hello me' to himself?"
I am falling in love with Judson's piano improvs at the start.
You guys are fantastic, thanks for the videos!
man the next megadeth reaction should be killing road the solo is crazy
I love all of Youthinasia. Underrated when it comes to the general metal community. Luckily most Megadeth fans acknowledge it’s greatness.
@@seanwechsler6783 Top 3 albums for me by them
The song IS like Jekyll and Hyde...
Yep. Schizophrenia! Hello me, meet the real me!
I love the way Judson cringes when the verses come in 🤣 I love Megadeth by the way don't get me wrong 🤘
Judson is team Megadeth
#150 woohoo 🎉
Megadeth was and still is my favorite of the Big 4!!
It's very Gollum.
You win!!😂😂
Was opposed to Mustaine's vocals for the longest time, but get it now. Just. And he can still harmonise which gives it enough musicality for me.
The shirt... We need a job for a cowboy reaction, grinding wheels of ophamine it's top last album

omg! I havent seen an op shirt since the late 80s
The older I get the more I love Megadeth... Dave is just such a fantastic songwriter... will noting is better that Rust In Peace and there only Slayer beat them...
I loved how Mustaine was really thinking out of the box in his music compositions back then. You don't hear such impactful and unique songs today. Or metal is totally weird and chaotic, or is a thousand times heard formula nowadays, for the majority that I hear at least.
great reaction guys weell done
I love the drum sound on this song. Probably my favorite recorded drums
Richard hit Judson with some Nuclear Assault 's Sin
Merci pour cette introduction Judson🫶
SWEATING BULLETS!!!
You have to watch the video while listening to this one
Thanks for Megadeth! Please react to The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Do Last Rites/Loved to deth - Megadeth
And so Richard knows, anything from the first album is OK to use the Remastered versions. The first album remaster is the only good one.
Thank you for playing the original version and not the remastered.
but this is the remaster, the original have a beatiful intro
@@kaiof.kaefer8122incorrect. This was the original 1992 version.
@@julianortiz4151 really? so i prefer the other version
@@kaiof.kaefer8122 lame
I don't listen to Megadeth a ton much anymore because they aren't really heavy enough for most of my moods lately, but this is one of my go to songs when I do. The radio station here only ever played Symphony of Destruction and Trust, which are great songs, but I never really had much interaction with them otherwise until I adopted the smartphone era. This song is one of the songs I liked from the start. Prince of Darkness is the other one. Simple, but so goddamn good. I love the irony of Peace Sells being the song that Megadeth was playing on stage at Woodstock 99 when the other stage was being razed. Really hard to beat that.
12:48 as opposed to thinking with your little head? lol
Jokes aside, I’m interpreting this song - and the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde - through Freud’s theory of the unconscious mind, which many here probably know.
Hyde is the embodiment of the “id”, the intrinsic force that whispers in our ears to satisfy our intrinsic needs and desires in ways that grant instant gratification. We learn from our parents and society that these behaviors are bad and that good morals and ethics must be observed and upheld. This, Freud called the “superego”, the proverbial angel to the shoulder companion id.
Jekyll can serve as the portrayal of the “ego” - the mediator between these powers, who sometimes grants more leeway to one side more than the other, in the way needs and desires are exercised. To me, the song seems to be narrated by the ego sweating bullets, ‘cause it’s being overrun by the id. That is just one possible interpretation though, and sorta what you were getting at as well. Interesting topic and conversation.
This is a great channel. Good you’re still playing music Jud. Look forward to watching the rest!
Who could this be?
@ “Ada-Mack”
@@andorrasrevenge1683 oh nice! Hope you’re well homie!
Suggestion: Primordial from Ireland. For example songs like The Coffin Ships, No Grave Deep Enough, The Mouth Of Judas or Puritans Hand, Thanks!
Wondering how much of peace sells you guys have reviewed? Devils island/ Black Friday etc… enjoyed this review guys, nice!
Sweating measureees!!
ashes in your mouth, surely?!
Its is...what we've become. Do we stay there, go in further or ask for Gods guidance to take it back?
And I'm still sweating bullets for Opeth Harlequin Forest or Hessian Peel. 😊
Did you guys do MegaDave Ashes In Your Mouth?
Brilliant song dude. Hope Judson will hear it.
This song is Like Black Sabbaths War Pigs.... Verse Vocal pattern...
A pianist that knows music in depth said it as it is: Megadeth > Metallica in terms of musical expression and technicallity!
Said pianist isn’t wrong!
Sextuple Venesection band, 🥂
deberias enseñarle "My Last Words" y "Good Mourning/Black Friday"!!
Polaris!
Skin O My Teeth!!!
Captive Honor off Countdown is more hoke that's still a banging song
Isn't this the song that inspired Dimebag's name for his favorite drink (blacktooth grin)?
yes it is
exquisite t shirt
Would you do Sumac - Image of Control (II) pretty please?
As a metal fan of the best mainstream thrash bands, I say that musically Megadeth is always one step ahead than Metallica, perhaps a little more daring, as Judson says. But, I'm a fan of all their music.
14:41 Wise man also say, “it can’t be what it isn’t.”😉😂
It is what it is what you think it is, and that's what it is 😅
i see megadeth i watch.
I love trash metal reactions!! especially Megadeth(even more than metallica tbh). But still he seems enjoying more prog-metal compared to other genre's. Especially Opeth, dream theater, leprous, caligula's horse, VOLA.. seeing these reactions would be so cool! thank you guys
sick jfac shirt breh.. sucha dank album
Hey yo, JFAC shirt, neat.
Yay, "Job of Cowboy!" Saw the "pig squeal band" kinda as a joke the first time... and accidentally became a fan. Ordered the Moonhealer album/shirt as soon as it was available. Also Megadeth on this album tour was my first show - with a then-unknown Stone Temple Pilots. 🤘
You should hook Judson up with "Sun of Nihility." Man I love the bassline on that one. 🖤
]v[EGADET]-[ 🤘🤘
Are you guys still doing the coffee page?
You need to experience The Warning if you haven't yet. Over 60 originals and literally not a bad one yet. I recommend starting with Dust To Dust/Dull Knives live at The Pepsi Center, but if you want a cover/reimagining then Enter Sandman from The Metallica Black List album. Official Music Video or live at The Pepsi Center.
Hey guys. Please react/listen to
"Prognan - Tri Nacjie"
"Bloodbath - Eaten"
"Borknagar - Up North"
"Satyricon - Mother North"
"Immortal - Withstand the fall of time"
"Taake - Myr"
Now that you've heard the song I recommend you watch the original music video. At the time it was heralded as one of the most innovative in history and is still very well regarded.
Watch the Megadeth VH1 special
It's funny that Judson points to Mustaine as an influence for death metal vocals. Many bands cite "Rust in Peace" as an influence for guitar work, but I think Slayer played a bigger role in the spawning of death metal as a whole, especially vocals. Obviously, thrash at its core is combining heavy metal and hardcore punk, which has a duality of more melodic vocals (Metallica and Megadeth lean into this a bit more, even getting sort of bluesy on rare occasions), and more rough, extreme vocals (Slayer, Venom, and maybe Anthrax). It is hard to pinpoint where screaming exactly came from because so many bands were doing different things all around the globe. Let's see what Richard has to say for which album is truly the first death album... lmao
Day 13 of asking for Diablo Swing Orchestra. "Balrog Boogie?"
Also, let’s get Avenged Sevenfold’s - The Wicked End!
request Vektor - Recharging the Void
Got to keep into consideration that this album was Mustains response to Metallicas Black album
Thanks Judson. Megadeth and Mustaine is indeed much more interesting musically. Which probably is exactly why they never reached exactly the same heights as Metallica. Not that Metallica hasn't done interesting things, but Mustaine's always been a step ahead of them when it comes to song composition, especially since they lost Cliff.
That don't make no damn sense
@@spockhozzer7207 How so? Who is more commercially succesful? Taylor Swift or King Crimson?
@@Eiraththat's a poor attitude to have. If you can't differentiate between well written music and "interesting" music, then you're going to have a hard time. Art isn't a talent show. The greats grasp this
@@spockhozzer7207 Now you make no sense.
So you're saying music that takes more skill to write is less well written?
You can write a line of just the letter A repeatedly in the most well written way possible. It's still just a line of the same letters and doesn't mean anything, no matter how well you write it.
Content is meaning. Interesting content means more substance.
Richard, u use a JFAC moon healer T shit but we don´t have a reaction from this album :'c
Pianist praised this over Metallica and politely said nice things, but he also looked bored out of his mind while he listened to it like he was being intellectually waterboarded...lol..
rust in peace material please or peace sells or even Killing is my Business. Even if countdown is great, the previous albums are far more interesting for a musician
React to Judas Priest - Cathedral Spires.
Please
It's it! What is it? 🤘
It's not a feeling. It's the state where you hear what you're playing, and the listener is seperated from the player, and linked with the player in a way that when the listener keeps listening the player keeps playing. And why the result makes sense is - in very short - because one is not the avatar that is playing.
This state represents a liberation (because it contains a universal property, the Trinity) with intersubjective properties, i.e. with space-transcending potential - ultimately simply a geometric fact. And because “people” were invented, the above facts can have a “poignant” effect.
Like me right now. It really seems like the communication is working.
Hey, just let the musical idea (listener~/~player) unfold! The rest does..., well, who actually does the rest? The only logical answer is to be blessed, which is a completely normal phenomenon. Please excuse my offensive urge for clarity. Once the information is through, it's good, right. I say yes to Judson's intro. What he says is true.
Jedenfalls spitzen Angelegenheit hier.
(Have translated from German by G.)
Great Measures please react to more Ren like Mackay
He's right they've always been more musically interesting than Metallica.
Dave also said this song was influenced by the stress of doing this Album, it was so anal it was like plucking individual pubic hairs with tweezers and his wife being pregnant and going through intense mood swings.
You had me at Megadeth more interesting than Metallica. But no one had ever had less street cred than someone saying street credit 😂😂
High Speed Dirt

Dave sounds like he's doing a bad Pee Wee Hermann impression. A fun song but also goofy af.
Do some JFAC, show Judson something from Moon Healer
IMO one of the best songs but I know I’m in the minority.
It's just theatrical
I've always preferred them over Metallica.
Please react to Fear Factory - Zero Signal, don't think Judson has heard any Fear Factory yet.
Something's wrong with the drums in this version
Nope… this is the original 1992 version with he original Nick Menza drums. You’re probably thinking of the lame AF remastered version with re-recorded drums. You can always tell the remasters because they boosted the hell out of the drums to bring them more to the front and they also have different sonic and tonal qualities that sound out of place to everyone who have been listening to Megadeth since the beginning.
I dont think anyone liked this song until we learned that Dimebags favorite drink was named after it.
Man, Dave made some silly songs.
megadeth? more like megaboring and megaoverrated
Not exactly the most technical Megadeth song. Countdown was a good album but not on the same level as Peace Sells or Rust in Peace. Was Marty still with the band on this album?
Of course Marty was with the band. Sweatings bullets like Symphony of destruction is a single but there are also very technical songs like Ashes in your mouth.
Yes, Marty left the band only after 'Risk'.
Marty remained in Megadeth for 3 more albums after Countdown.
Your opinion null and void for not knowing if Marty Friedman was on this album. Thats sacrilege.
