Nice job! Sounds great. I’m using Britt’s “Crank n Go” and “2020” profile packs. My current “live” Performance I use the most is a derivative of his Friedman BE50 Deluxe Performance he includes in the “Crank n Go” pack...it’s excellent! Cuts very nicely in a live setting.👍🏼
Not surprised that you selected those rigs from Lars Luettge as the first ones. His profiles are very good (by the way, they sell them as Deadlight Studio now, previously Tone Hammer). I use his Mars 1960AV cab all the time in other Merged or DI profiles. Rarely they sound worse with this cab. Try it and let me know what you think, or if you found another Marshall 1960 with V30s cab on the Kemper that you like more. I have a real one and tend to use merged or DI profiles on it with my powered Kemper (monitor cab off) but load a similar profiled cab in the cabinet module to have the most similar sound on my IEMs and FOH to my cab if it was miced.
Very nice Video! For Metal I play with: TH - Diesel Herb Mk1 D 1, GB - Engle Powerfall II, TH - MeBo Duel Rect F 45, MB - Fried Man 4. I have my kemper stage from Augusti 2019 and I didn't buy any commercial profile.
I have a toaster on the way...first time user. I can't WAIT to get this thing and see what it can do. Really surprised by that Randall patch. They all sounded really good though.
I used an uberschall profile which was either stock or from rig exchange, it was the best tone I ever had in my life. Even my guitarist-producer friends were amazed. After hearing these, I feel bummed out for selling my toaster. I was itching for more tweakability and got the FM3 a couple of weeks ago. Still haven't managed to get palm mutes to punch as hard as from KPA.
@@flowryan5829 Didn't try the Axe fx 3, some say there is a difference between it and the FM3, but so far I'm not blown away by the tones as I was with a Kemper (not even by the youtubers that showcased it before it became officially available to the public). Still haven't given up on it, though. I say go for the Kemper 100%, you're gonna like the 'uniqueness' that some profiles bring, you're gonna like the cleans and I need to mention that I also had a bass tone profile that I loved. When you get it, have in mind that searching for the right profile can be a long process, but don't give up.
Killer playing man. I have a completely off topic question, what workstation desk is that you’ve got? I really want to take my kemper out of the rack and mount it where it’s easier to reach.
Unfortunately I don’t have that desk anymore I converted to a L-shaped desk that’s made of glass and I added a riser for my dual monitors. I’ll be doing a video soon with my new setup. Thanks for watching!
Amazing metal sounds and amazing playing! Thinking of getting the kemper profiler stage for gigs...do you know if the same profiles are available On that one too?
There’s a bit of a learning curve for beginners if I’m being honest. However, there are a lot of good kemper beginner tutorials here on UA-cam so it’s definitely doable. As far as sound goes - on a recording it’s almost impossible to tell the difference between kemper and a real amp. You’ll hear a difference when you’re in the room with a real amp vs kemper because valve amps just move more air, but once they are mic’d up side by side the difference is almost non existent in my opinion.
Several options: 1 - direct output to FOH speakers 2 - output to a speaker cab like a normal amp 3 - Both (this is what I do because it’s the best of both world in my opinion) Happy to help more if you have questions
The Kemper itself comes loaded with what is called Factory Content 5.0, 7.5, 8.0 or whatever version of the OS came your Kemper from factory. Kemper releases more free content time, but the Factory Content of your device remains the same of the OS version you got. This means that even if you update the Kemper to new OS versions, the Factory Content is not loaded to the newer version unless you put your unit to Factory Defaults. But all the free content, old and new, is always available in Rig Manager. That includes currently Factory Content 8.0 as well as other packs that do not come loaded in the Kemper, but are fun to try like the recent Legends Tribute Collection pack. By the way, the Factory Content does not only include rigs and rig packs, but PRESETS too. Also present in Rig Manager.
Oh, and by the way, Janusz O., don't mistake the PRESETS for RIGS or PROFILES. They are not the same, even if preset is the word used in other devices to call a particular "sound". In the Kemper a Profile is a snapshot of an amp. A Rig is a complete signal chain from input to output, including stomps, effecs, amp, cab... And finally a Preset is a stored setting for ANY module or effect of the Kemper. That could be a preset of an effect like reverb, a preset of the input module, or the output... Even you can store and load Cabinets as presets and work with them like IRs. Different cabs make a huge difference.
I’ve used them all and I prefer the kemper. Mostly because that’s what I’m used to at this point. They are all good units honestly… you really can’t go wrong here
@@bradthree3962 I was thinking kemper since it’s profiling real amps. I have no amps to profile, but it’s my understanding you don’t HAVE to do that. Real nice riffing Bro, I love it!

There is a profile on the rig exchange that is called ThrashCollector. Its a boosted Marshall JVM.

Jake Kiley from Strung Out uses the triple rec stock profile with a few stock boost pedals he said in a recent interview.
