Now THAT is a legit Superman game that I'm sure everyone would enjoy! But it appears that the only way to play this demo is to have a super-powerful gaming PC.
They should give the users to have the freedom to become Clark Kent as well along with his job duties to keep it as a balanced gameplay, just like they did in Spiderman where Peter did some mini quests in his lab. For example, Clark Kent can run after the individual to collect for his story and suddenly there is a wild car chase with the thieves carrying high tech weapons and suddenly changes to in-game cutscene where he jumps in to save the person of interest and then, he runs into an alley and the same time, here you can enter into a bullet time mode for gameplay sake pressing "G" or hitting L2 or LTrigger removing your attire, revealing your Superman outfit, and your hit R2 or RTrigger or Shift key + Spacebar to fly.
Notice how this game has no dialogue, story, original music composition, cutscenes, marketing, trailers, production, motion capture, or voice acting recordings. A bit more goes into a game.
Imagine when video cards can do this AND have completely destructible environments and each building is filled with people and furniture and stuff.... amazing.
The supersonic vapor trail effects looks so cool, but Superman needs to fly faster. It would be great if he leaves cracks or a small crater when he lands aggressively. Superman himself needs to be modelled on Christopher Reeve.
I love Julio’s superman mod, but this mod is just sooo amazing. It may not have any of Superman’s abilities besides flying, but with how good the flying looks, it makes up for that. Hopefully Julio could update his superman mod to have this flying style
My idea for a superman game was having a hero level stat 🤔 like saving people and destroying less buildings during big enemy battles swayed the storyline, of course making it more less/ difficult, and not saving people during so to maybe a more sinister story version, and unlocking Super Powers and levels, eventually being the True Superman / or maybe The Dark Superman 🤔
Ex Warner Bros executives never understood Superman's incredible value as a DC pillar and put him on the shelf for so long. After Discovery merger, new Warner Bros CEO is a huge fan of Superman and has said Superman will be much more forefront as he should be. We've already started to see this in some DC related trailers recently. And this Superman mods with Unreal 5 released in UA-cam became very popular that no doubt attracted some game developers interest. We've already known that Rocksteady wanted to make a Superman game after Arkham series, pitched the idea to WB execs but they refused. Probably the new WB CEO and executives will be very interested to a Superman game that can boost the characters popularity and pave way to new movies.
They keep thinking they need to reinvent the character ... and mean while Captain America is kind of comparable in mannerisms and doing the right thing and they nailed it in spades in the movies. Fighting for doing the right thing can be the most bad ass thing one can do ... being an a hole ... not so much.
@@jkleylein JJ Abrams contract made by ex WB executives before Discovery bought WB, so there's a high probability that contract will be canceled. New WB CEO already got rid of the executives who were running the DC franchise for the last decade. He also said he will make DC an independent branch in WB and he wants someone like MCU's Kevin Feige to run that DC brand. The new people who will run DC movies most likely won't want to be working with people who were hired by older executives.

I always thought that Rocksteady was going to do a superman series like they did with Batman Arkham and then have Gotham as it appeared in Batman Arkham Knight be part of the open world that Superman could visit.
Damnnnn it's crazy to see how incredibly real these games look now. I remember playing those platform games like vectorman and castlevania and thinking those were amazing 20+ years ago
Capes are still hard. They're a clipping nightmare, and they never behave like real drapery. I proper cape is a full circle of fabric, split down the radius to the center where the shoulders would be. It then drapes all the way around. But because of clipping, capes often end up looking like a beach towel hanging off the character's back. The Arkham games manages to make it work by morphing the cape with a huge set of programmed animations. But a dynamic cape that doesn't cluster up into a clipping nightmare is still a little ways off.
Why'd this almost make me cry. The music remix, the beauty, the majestic nature of it. Definitely payed homage and payed proper justice to my favorite superhero!
This looks really good, I think one thing I would add is an acceleration system to the flight so as you fly over large distances you get faster and faster. Right now it seems like you just fly straight at a set speed at kind of a lackluster level, Superman should feel blisteringly fast when he gets going and progressively accelerating would help it feel progressively more exciting to cover large distances (even cars in GTA get faster the longer you hold the gas - up to a point at least)
One flaw i noticed, when he falls on the surface of water, it was like landing on a solid surface. They should have made it traversable through water as well
Ya imagine random events popping up and you have to the bottom of thr ocean to weld up a blown oil drill or something with heat vision. Honestly next gen superman games need to utilize space and ocean traversal. Fly anywhere have missions anywhere.

You could easily create challenges that would scale to the power you give him and at the same time if he could traverse that map in 5 seconds, good luck piloting him through the city unless you're on one that alone will be no small feat. He just needs to feel faster, stronger and more powerful than anything we've ever felt in games. How fast the speed upgrade felt with Sega sonic compared to NES Mario back in the day combined with that overpowered feeling that Force Unleashed and Prototype had as some examples. It's long overdue.

I remember as a kid 20 years ago saying they should have graphics that look like real people inside the videos games. Fast forward, to the PS4 and Xbox one. Video game graphics are the best they've ever looked
Cool concept. My constructive criticism would be that the camera angle during flight needs to be adjusted a bit. Personally I would move the character down on the screen a bit and back so that instead of seeing his feet as he flys the camera can be closer to almost looking over his shoulders.
there already was a Superman flight concept game called "Superman Returns", based off the movie of the same name... only problem was they forgot to put a complete game in there, and it ended up feeling like a big empty. Still, it was kinda fun to fly around, as that particular aspect was done very well. but that was pretty much all there was to it. Sure you could fight a couple baddies here and there, but the encounters were clunky and not really engaging. or that much fun. If you or someone could find a way to keep the great flight experience AND every other aspect of being Superman (no small feat) then I'd strongly consider getting another console. my last one was a PS3, primarily for Arkham City, an open-world Batman game which I simply had to have. take a page from that. let Superman be able to stop even petty criminals like muggers or bank robbers, not just apocalypse level threats.
Superman may be able to fly faster than that, but most PCs won't be able to render faster than that. So unless you want the ground to be covered in a thick blanket of fog that makes most of the buildings invisible, this is as fast as he's going to get in a PC game.

I downloaded this the other day. It's pretty cool, but the flight is much slower than the gta 5 mod superman version. I estimate this flight speed at around 200 mph, vs mach 7 in gta 5 (around 5000 mph). You can wreck vehicles in the game. The npc's are like ghosts, you pass right through them. The outer cities have no traffic, roads, or npc's, basically just wallpaper. you also can't go under water.
Hey my friend, not being rude but that's what they call a DEMO, demonstrating how your PC handles the engine, etc. Of course there are missing parts for a decent game, but that's just the beginning, expect more. I'm excited, i guess you're too! Love how it evolves.
Okay, I didn't think I wanted a superman game until seeing this. If done to the quality of Spiderman 1 (PS4) story wise, first half of the game fighting more localised villains then going into space for the second half because of lex escaping or something, then into space, fighting doomsday and dark side etc. Having the ability to smash the crap out of almost everything, laser eyes, ice breath, flying around like this but being able to go even faster at times. Being able to go to many different countries and cities, some just to save people in random war and/or terrorist situations and/or natural disasters. As well as for the story, having missions all over. But being able to fly super fast to each city. Same out in space. Open world feel for it all. I'd 100% buy that. Throw in a few other hero's cameos, especially a decent one from batman and I'd pay even more than it's worth. Would be unbelievable. Have to play things out as Clark Kent, as a journalist and do detective work. Have to save people and beat bad guys, without casualties. Get skillful and accurate with timings and movement. Try not to destroy too much or the government turns on you, as do the people. Like red dead, be a hero loved or be a hero but have the world around you change how they treat you, and dialogue spoken etc. Lose powers due to kripronite so have to overcome that and be a hero without the powers at some stage. Maybe get framed and have to clear your name, as well as of course saving the world. Could be such an amazing game. Hope they make it.
As a Superman fan I would expect to see all kinds of abilites but with that all of the villians from planet Krypton and more. This has the potential to be a fantastic game!
If we ever get an actual open world Superman game again, there are two things I hope they do bring back from the Superman Returns game. First was the flying. It was so smooth to just gently drift up from the ground or spring up like a rocket, and you just floated aove the earth when not going fast. It felt powerful but graceful, and was super fun, there was just almost no reason to do it. The second is the City having a health bar, not Superman. Just say Nanites from Braniac rebuilds the city over time, and have EVERYTHING be destructible. Let him smash through walls and have to worry about civilians and buildings while fighting Parasite or something.
Never been a gamer but wow. This could get me in to it quick time. Absolutely superb. Even the Chris reeves feet wobble. Great soundtrack too. Add the S and I am sold. 👏👏👏👏👏👏😄😄😄😄😄😁👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well, to be fair, this is just a re-skin, and the costume isn't even Superman, it's just Superman inspired, thanks to WB not letting anyone use Superman, hence why Superman fangames don't exist
I would like a game where you also have the capacity to fly throughout the space. It can be autogenerated with a system similar to the minecraft world. And creating specificaly some importants elements like the moon, closer planets and easter eggs. Also have the superspeed mode which you can fly hyper fast would be amazing
Make this game with a ton of destruction blasting through buildings, give Superman no limits on his power. He could fly to the moon if the game players wish it and destroy it. With game play fighting like the Batman games. Forever updating this game with new villains. Comic book stories. Please make this game the dopest game ever and it will sales endlessly..

I downloaded this the other day. It's pretty cool, but the flight is much slower than the gta 5 mod superman version. I estimate this flight speed at around 200 mph, vs mach 7 in gta 5 (around 5000 mph). You can wreck vehicles in the game. The npc's are like ghosts, you pass right through them. The outer cities have no traffic, roads, or npc's, basically just wallpaper. you also can't go under water.

Hey my friend, not being rude but that's what they call a DEMO, demonstrating how your PC handles the engine, etc. Of course there are missing parts for a decent game, but that's just the beginning, expect more. I'm excited, i guess you're too! Love how it evolves.
Okay, I didn't think I wanted a superman game until seeing this. If done to the quality of Spiderman 1 (PS4) story wise, first half of the game fighting more localised villains then going into space for the second half because of lex escaping or something, then into space, fighting doomsday and dark side etc. Having the ability to smash the crap out of almost everything, laser eyes, ice breath, flying around like this but being able to go even faster at times. Being able to go to many different countries and cities, some just to save people in random war and/or terrorist situations and/or natural disasters. As well as for the story, having missions all over. But being able to fly super fast to each city. Same out in space. Open world feel for it all. I'd 100% buy that. Throw in a few other hero's cameos, especially a decent one from batman and I'd pay even more than it's worth. Would be unbelievable. Have to play things out as Clark Kent, as a journalist and do detective work. Have to save people and beat bad guys, without casualties. Get skillful and accurate with timings and movement. Try not to destroy too much or the government turns on you, as do the people. Like red dead, be a hero loved or be a hero but have the world around you change how they treat you, and dialogue spoken etc. Lose powers due to kripronite so have to overcome that and be a hero without the powers at some stage. Maybe get framed and have to clear your name, as well as of course saving the world. Could be such an amazing game. Hope they make it.
Would love to see a separate video of Superman snapping and destroying the city.

As a Superman fan I would expect to see all kinds of abilites but with that all of the villians from planet Krypton and more. This has the potential to be a fantastic game!

If we ever get an actual open world Superman game again, there are two things I hope they do bring back from the Superman Returns game. First was the flying. It was so smooth to just gently drift up from the ground or spring up like a rocket, and you just floated aove the earth when not going fast. It felt powerful but graceful, and was super fun, there was just almost no reason to do it. The second is the City having a health bar, not Superman. Just say Nanites from Braniac rebuilds the city over time, and have EVERYTHING be destructible. Let him smash through walls and have to worry about civilians and buildings while fighting Parasite or something.

I would like a game where you also have the capacity to fly throughout the space. It can be autogenerated with a system similar to the minecraft world. And creating specificaly some importants elements like the moon, closer planets and easter eggs. Also have the superspeed mode which you can fly hyper fast would be amazing
Make this game with a ton of destruction blasting through buildings, give Superman no limits on his power. He could fly to the moon if the game players wish it and destroy it. With game play fighting like the Batman games. Forever updating this game with new villains. Comic book stories. Please make this game the dopest game ever and it will sales endlessly..

Now just give it zone of the enders mechanics, fighting styles and twists and turns ultimate maneuverability, I'm surprised zone of the enders didn't continue like metal gear, it was epic.
