This boundary-pushing technical demo is an original concept set within the world of Warner Bros' The Matrix. This needs to be a full open world game with missions etc. this is incredible
lol most pcs can't handle it. Consoles surely can't. lol. This reminds me of when Crysis was demoed. Most pcs couldn't even run it. I had an 8800GTS I bought back then and it couldn't handle it at 1440 x 900p. Most monitors weren't even 1080p yet. Most were still 720p or 480p still. This is a 4090 probably with raid drives running at 15,000 mbps. I tried this demo with my pc with a 6800XT, 13700k, 32 gigs of ram, and a 7,400 mbps nvme drive. It still had problems loading textures. The streaming textures is just too much. A 4090 can handle it but barely. Low res I'm sure it can at around 720p. Cranking up the res to 1440p or like my monitor at 5120 x1440p would destroy the gpu. lol. I can't even hardly run Skyrim with 300 mods with my 6800 XT at that resolution without it screaming for help. It worked fine at 2560 x 1440p but when I got this 5120 x 1440p monitor that was double the width in pixels and it couldn't handle it.

@@tiacool7978 thats a fair point but in god of war kratos hardly ever loses a fight but yet its one of the best gaming franchises out rn, a superman game could be done if they'd just respect the property instead of trying to just sell a genaric super hero game.

I love the little details we're able to incorprate into modern games. The fact that you can look into literally every window is an amazing thing for me. I love the little things!

@@RainbowGhostOverdriveIt's actually just 1 polygon in some sort of cube map I think. So it's not very performance hungry. What's really impressive is the streaming speed of all details with nearly no poppins. Nanite is doing a great job here.
It's a parallax material that you put on your window that basically check your viewing angle and display what you should see at that angle. So there is no ''room'' behind the window, you are only looking at a flat image that changes depending on your viewing angle/distance. Can be used to greatly increase video games frame per seconds. Check youtube videos of Automatic Parallax Window Material by ether wParallax or BB LAB for great ones.

@@dry-cleaning6255 I remember that game called 'Quantum Break' developed by Remedy Ent. it has this kind of effect but in slo-mo.. now with todays graphic engines + AI assist tools, anything is potentially possible

Really hope they make a full on matrix game again :) that would be incredible. Take the hand to hand combat from sifu and mix it with action weapon fighting like from Zelda and for honor... the flying mechanics and level up abilities and be able to stop bullets and use the sense neo has with bullet time! Hell yeah 😎

i would love to see a full game on this universe. i can even picture in my mind neo doing some bullet time acrobatics in the walls shoting the hell out of bad guys. idk why the industry dont give it a shot and make an exceptional fun game.
Id love to see it too. But Matrix Path of Neo didn't do aswell as hoped even though I loved it and despite playing the mmo from beta to close I wouldn't exactly call it an amazing game. They're too worried to fully dive in especially with resurrections bad box office. But we can dream ay
In 10 years time we'll be looking at 4090 graphics the way we now look at 1080p. Everytime we think a game's graphics and resolution has reached it's peak, something better comes out. Just a decade ago, 1080p, according to our brain, looked just like this.😂
I don't agree. Crysis 3, which was released more than 10 years ago, still looks damn good. Compare 2003 to 2013 you will see a MUCH-MUCH bigger difference. Truth is we are reaching peaks of real-time graphics. There is still ways to go but it won't be as drastic.
Can you imagine the sales numbers for a Matrix game on current gen. It would be amazing ! the combat could be incredible and then you have Superman... WTF hasnt a studio done a superman game, seems like oversight of the decade
This kind of detailed open metropolis would make a great Giant Mecha vs Kaiju inspired game like the films Pacific Rim and Kong vs. Godzilla (Gojira). Just make EVERYTHING destroyable. EVERYTHING.

The clothes are wrong, the face is wrong. The green matrix tint filter has been replaced with a warm orange one. Fail. This is why the guy is modding someone else's creation instead of getting hired by a big company
There are still weird artifacts in shadows and reflections while changing location fastly. Hope they can fix it

in comparison to ubisoft or rockstar titles this open world looks so big and open. the dimensions are really spot on the streets and parks are as big as they should be

the main thing about this demo is the nanite textures that are shown here, and that's it. This is Unreal Engine technology, the technology shows that at any distance you can see the textures, but the number of polygons is reduced, which allows you to show more objects. Polygons increase when you get closer, but still this is a demo version, in reality it is difficult to do so, because few users will have such a hardware that can cope with this and all other features such as interaction and visual effects.

@@sevenchambers you need to understand, that this demo version don’t have any functions, only some inputs, and object movement in 3 dimensions, If you will make normal game with those technologies as “world partition” and “lumen” with “nanite”, if gamedevelopers will made shity code, the game will requires more memory.

they need to play Superman Returns for some incredible flight controls and post effects for amazing flight gameplay.

I came here wondering if there was a game that existed like this. I used to play infamous 2 and prototype, and I dont know why those open world super hero games stopped being produced. This looks and would be an amazing video game. Even adding the replica chatbot so npcs chat with themselves, and you, and the things you do would be crazy. Even adding a sandbox function so things you destroy stay destroyed
As an edit to this comment why dont we make it multiplayer, and just like gmod, SO you can make and add custom powers and abilities with an ai chatbot module.

At the end of revolutions, before the movie ends the little girl changes the weather to more brighter tint or orange yellow color tint as a happy mood. And it stays like that for the new movie.
Look it up on youtube it has a meaning why the green tint is gone.

How many years before we have unscripted destructible environment throughout entire city, buildings, roads, equipment, technology is probably already here, however the hardware costs for such a complex game would be immense.

The Matrix Online was in the late 2000s and died 2009. But it had potential just poor design flaws and poor execution. What we need is a Matrix MMO Online again. But good!
