I bet If we were able to see photos of the steering column, we would find that the column is heavily scratched from an instrument cluster from the Land Cruiser with 60,XXX miles it was pulled from originally
@@thelandcruiserproject Mine has no mods, is regularly serviced, has 209,000 miles and runs like new. All stock 100 series get the mileage that I'm getting. The point I was trying to make is that anyone who claims that their LC gets 17 city/19 highway is a liar or a scam artist or both.
Thanks for the video. I have a 99 LC that I'm considering selling, with 67,xxxx miles. Unfortunately, it's got sun damage (paint, dash, passenger seat) but is mechanically rock solid. Torn as I know it's worth more than what it will bring, but my other ride is a mint 93 Blazer with 70k miles... Decisions, Decisions....
Dash is basically fried, severely cracked to the extent that it needs a replacement, not a makeover. I threw a pad on it, which isn't really the best solution but it takes the edge off. I've seen videos on a full dash replacement, it's a ton of work but does allow a chance to upgrade the stock stereo, etc. In driving both these rigs, the LC is a much more solid experience than the Chevy....

It’s now for sale on Craigs List in Las Vegas
I saw that too. Glad they didn't find anyone to rip off in CA.
awesome, thanks for helping us land cruiser crazies 😂 what to look for and expect when purchasing !!!
Thank you!
Yeah scammers don't need help scamming. It's like what they do.
A lot of trim pieces and bolts missing for 60,000 miles!
17 city/19 highway??? Every other stock 1999 100 Series LC in the US with the 4.7L V8 including mine gets 15/16 highway and single digits around town.
What modifications have you done? Also, keep in mind your vehicle is now at least 18 years old. It can't be efficient as it was when new.

That's tough for sure...describe the sun damage on the dash?
