Unfortunately, The mixing sound of this album feels uncomfortably loud. Especially the drums, the cymbals and deep kick drum sound. It's sound dull and hard.
@@Two_Seat_Pete_FatA55 not the sound in this video or the single videos, I mean the mixing quality of FTBOTBB album. I had also compare the album to many streaming service and proven it is truly dull, especially the deep kick drum sound. Their other albums are just fine.
@@andibensisva2155 im talking about the mixing on the album. That said, I mostly listen to music on studio monitors (I do mixing and mastering) - it sounds great there. I could probably understand how it may not come across so well on other devices and speakers.I still really like the mixing and production of it though, from a stylistic point of view. One thing I’ll say is I know Dave Fridmann did the majority of the songs and his mixes and drums often sound more suited to bands with a more spacious production style, like Flaming Lips, MGMT, Tame Impala etc. It allows the drums to breath more and that kick drum probably works better in that context. That said, I still do like how that album sounds, But probably more down to the stylist to get approach of the production than the mixing.
@@Two_Seat_Pete_FatA55 Wow thats great!. Surely you are more knowledgeable and experienced about mixing than me. To be honest i know nothing about mixing. I just listening music from a regular home speaker, an earphone, an ipad, and my finest stuff only Audio Technica M30 headset. Thats how I heard and feel about this album, somethings wrong with the drums sound, especially on “Anna” and “Glitter like Gold”. But it previous album Ignore The Ignorant is fine, even 24-7 Rock Star Shits is the best sounding. Yeah maybe it is just not really great on a low/mediocre sound system.
Agreed. It has some decent tunes but they are brilliant with melody so it’s never going to be shit, but that album is just missing something that separate the cribs from everyone else. It’s borderline generic, which is certainly something you can’t usually say about them.
I love Gary's dialogue at the end, and he's so right, trying to be good will never work, doing your own thing might just work though
Can’t believe I’ve never seen this. It’s so beautiful

Johnny leaving was the best thing that ever happened to this band. Ignore the ignorant is their worst album by far.
