    It’s a bit eerie that he’s Austrian as well, like hitler. That sense of Germany being led by authority technically being foreign born is unsettling.

    • @8jaime8
      @8jaime8 5 днів тому

      Austria is hardly foreign to Germany, speaking practically. They are side by side geographically, where borders fluctuated and countries overlapped, with names changing over the centuries.
      Historically, Austrians were regarded as Germans and viewed themselves as such. Austria was part of the Holy Roman Empire and the German Confederation until the Austro-Prussian War in 1866. By the time Hitler was born, the Austrian and German people had been politically and culturally tied for over a thousand years.
      Yes, by literal definition Austria is ‘outside the door’ of Germany - but the lines drawn on maps often have little to do with what is or is not truly foreign. Just my take.

    Wow what a psychopath. Very very well acted. The only other actor who i think could have projected the sheer terror and psychopathy that came with the role is Christian Bale. He's just so nazi with this role. My father grew up during the nazi occupation he hates the Germans.I can see why. I don't think it's right though to paint a whole nation with the same brush. There were Germans who hated the nazis but the vast majority of them went along with that regime. To me there were two types of Nazis, sadistic psychopaths like the character portrayed by Ralph Fiennes and more business like minded like the character portrayed by Liam Neeson( who i'm not a fan of his movies but he was excellent here). The nazi element is still very much prevalent in today's times. Let's hope we don't have another world war.

    Английский смягчает этот образ...а внешность Рэйфа придаёт злу притягательную сексуальность. Зачем режиссер пригласил на роль этого актёра? Внешность, тембр голоса (рафинированный англичанин) не даёт зрителю прочуствовать страх перед этим персонажем. Кажется, что его можно упросить о пощаде. Он был другим, беспощадным маньяком что отражалось в поведении, взгляде и оригинальные фото сразу об этом говорят. Хоть и бывшие узники якобы говорят что похож...я не вижу внешнего сходства никакого! Рейф даже в пробежке по гетто с собаками не воспринимается, как офицер СС, которого отправили на ликвидацию людей. Хоть он для съёмок и поправился на 20 кг, видно, что живот этот не от заливанием его пивом и жратвой безмерной. Вот фото амона настоящего с того же балкона вызывают отвращение. Он одновременно и чудовище и бюрократ, а именно банальное зло страшнее всего. И сыгран этот менеджер среднего звена с садистскими наклонностями в точку, монотонный голос, вспышки ярости, холодный взгляд полный отвращения и прочее

    this cut is horrible and an all around bad job. you did cut all the context for the scenes, you cut out anything remotely brutal. which is the whole point of this character and you timed it awfully

      @lucasdamotta2931 Sí están. Desde el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial dale que dale con el Holocausto para al final ponerse ellos mismo a exterminar a un pueblo entero. Apartheid, limpieza étnica y genocidio contra el pueblo palestino. Todo acompañado de una invasión, claro. Si tú no lo ves, plantéate que estás al nivel de los nazis.
