If they didnt, I hope it was a quick, painless death. Not only dying amongst somewhat strangers (imagine how pissed off those wealthy people would be at the CEO soon as problems occurred), but Im heartbroken knowing theres a father and son down there, where the father has all the money in the world, but that cant save them right now. Thinking about dying a slow death with your son/father next you is absolutely heartbreaking. I don't care if they were bad, selfish people, no human should have to experience that kind of helpless loss. I pray to god that they are on the surface somewhere floating and will be found within the next 24 hours

my guess? they are dead. The banging noise is a water-filled sub just rolling on the sea floor, maybe banging on the Titanic's wreckage. +air, most likely they used it all already, by panicking on the descent. cause it's a 4-hour trip down with a working machine, and they lost connection 1.4 hours after "the start".. so a minimum of 3 hours of panic on descent to the sea bed, and after it. +they don't really have any food there. +they are rich mother flippers, not trained seals, that can starve for days. soooo yeah. if they are alive, FOUND, and rescued it will be truly a miracle.

    • @neldormiveglia1312
      @neldormiveglia1312 Рік тому +1

@@kJ922-h3jI don't think so because from what I've gathered, the ship simply lost track of the submersible around the 1.5-2 hour mark, which apparently was typical within the previous tests that they had performed. So the ship simply had been expecting to regain connection around the 8-10 hour mark, again, within parameters of testing.
Take this with a pinch of salt, because this is all based on what the company had claimed was typical. There would be no way to know it's entirely true because they apparently never put their project through third party testing anyway and I suppose it'd be easy for them to tamper with evidence.

They're toast. Of all the possibilities and speculations on what could've happened, even the most positive one leads to that conclusion. Say they're still alive, no electric system and trapped, so can't get afloat... Even if they were found in the following hours, there is no technology capable of towing them out of there, let alone in time.
I honestly kinda hope that the hull simply gave up and exploded, because at least that would've saved them from spending endless hours in the darkness, cold and most likely working through a panic attack.

Like yes I know the bare minimum about sonar but if they detected a bashing
    Could they not…
    - Figure out the most likeable distance that sound was detected from
    - research from that area
    - create morse code using bangs in water
P.S - they say that area is less explored than space but why not just stick a sub down there going back and forth, taking in sonar readings to take a shape of the surface, then you know the layout of say every 100 miles which can be backed up by satellites
Additionally for future use, have a boey in the water or a line that all underwater vessels have to use for tracking purposes in future exploration- similar to how battlefship 2012 worked

It's not clear ATM how the sound has been detected but when ships look for subs they just put a microphone in the water and listen for sound, if the guys in the sub can keep a near continuous tapping sound going it should be possible to locate them. I hope there is a plan to raise it formulated.
