This game was cancelled for PC unfortunately. In order to focus on Battlefield 3, DICE said. A DICE dev also said this game had a budget of around $1mil to develop. Enjoy!

...that's actually a pretty strong hand and a pretty solid wrench that can whack trees.
It's for console so it explains the reason for high damage
when a 12 year old game has better firing sounds than Battlefield 2077
And you have to make sure that the 12 year old game has maximum graphics

Dude, that's exactly what I thought too. It was such a great but often overlooked detail of how the bolt action animations are chosen at random by the engine.

iirc they said they had a kar98 model on their hands so they chose to model that instead of something like an arisaka
It is kinda legit, since some Arisaka rifles were inspired by Mauser bolt action system like Type 44, Type 38, Type 99 and many more.
Such as Bf1942 the famous Lee-Enfield Sniper used by the US Army
@@adimain0340 Made sense, since this game was made right after Bad Company and on a limited budget with limited scope and served pretty much as an appetizer and a test on how Frostbite engine with play in a mainline Battlefield.
Before this and 'Bf1', I didn't care for the games, but when I got this on Xbox 360, it was a surprisingly good game I don't have a problem recommending.
The bolt-actions anims are kinda weird though, like the guy is on a nervous rollercoaster compared to the others.
For a 2009 online only multiplayer with the budget they had it's pretty good. Could it be better? Yeah, but it was good for the time. It could have more maps, more vehicles, more classes, but I liked this game back then.
Some of these weapons make return in BFBC2 in the first mission during WW2

The animation was impressive. Sadly they don't do this anymore.
The details on the Springfield/Kar 98k, M1 Bazooka had an impressive little detail.
And also when Sniping was a two shot instead of a one shot. Excluding headshot that was a one hit defeat.

Training mode. So far only Xenia works. RPCS3 version fails to create a profile, so you cannot even play training mode. It asks for PSN profile.

One Flaw: The Japanese Do Not Use KAR98K. They Used the Type 38 Arisaka Rifles.
I wish this game came out on PC
The game mode I despise in BF 1943 is Air Superiority, all I ever do is crash the plane 2 seconds after takeoff no matter what I do.
Can you share the Xenia.config you used to emulate this game? 4k works good for me but Im having audio problems (delay and clipping) . Also, any explosion will crash the emulator. Thanks in advance :)

Gotta like how the M1911 is somehow a double-action revolver like the M9 Beretta in this game. Also, the M1911, the M1 Garand, and the Thompson models look like they were taken out of Medal of Honor Airborne with slight alterations to the models.

*The PC version of the game was cancelled to focus on BF3. Console versions are normally released. A fun even though little game.

Worth noting for those unaware: The reason that the Japanese use the Kar98k in this game rather than the Arisaka is because DICE, at the time, couldn't get a hold of an Arisaka to use for reference material, so they chose to include a Kar98k instead as they'd be able to model it more accurately.
They could get ahold of a Type 100, the smg that was so rare that only 8500 of them were ever made, but they couldn’t get an Arisaka? A gun numbering about 3.5 million made? And that can be purchased in the United States for like 300-400 dollars?

animations are good but the weapons are grossly inaccurate, for instance the Japanese main weapon is one that they never once used in the entire war.
