That was really informative thank you. I have a couple of extruders and I'd really love to see some examples of the applications you use your extruded clay for. Especially the different shapes. I use just the basic hair and ivy branches and I'm too clumsy for all the lovely swirly work on journal covers etc. I'd really love to see some of your more unusual ideas. Thanks again.
That’s great, I’m glad it’s helped build your extruder confidence! We have another video coming out next week on how to clean and maintain it so you’ll be set ☺️
Volume was definitely an issue. I do really enjoy your videos. Your explanations are spot on and well demonstrated. (Totally off track, your hair do looks great today 😄)
Thanks Allison! I’m going to check our left right speaker settings on the video as this might be the reason. Also funny story, I tried putting purple in my hair and it came out this colour 😂 Glad it turned out ok even if not the colour I thought it would be haha
Did you know you can actually unscrew the back part of the extruder the same way you unscrew the front part? I'm not really sure what we can do with that information, but that's what I found recently 🙂 I saw a person loading the clay from behind of the extruder, but I still find it easier to do it the way you showed us in the video. Maybe it's good for deep cleaning the extruder once in a while or when you have some kind of breakage. Thanks for the video!
Yes, it’s definitely great for doing a deep clean! We actually have another video releasing tomorrow on maintaining and cleaning your extruder and pull the back bit off too 😁 it’s amazing how much clay can get stuck in all the nooks and crannies!
You probably already have addressed this in a previous video but why would anyone use the clay that has the rough texture? Is that Clay good for ?? Thanks
Thanks for asking the question 😊 depending on what the make is, some may prefer a rougher texture or inclusions. The rougher pink clay in this video for example, I would use as a faux ice cream mini as I’d want this kind of texture. Hope that helps!
Hi there, thanks for a great video. I've been using my extruder before this video & found that you also need to take the black O ring seal off the plunger to clean that as well as the groove it sits in, plus the shallow groove in the flat part of plunger that pushes the clay. The clay collects in there, too. I even find traces of clay inside the barrel to clean as well. Baby wipes & a pin work. I use a dry baby wipe afterwards. X
Ohhh thanks for flagging! I’ll check our right left speaker settings as it’s all good on our TV - can I ask if you’re using headphones? We had this issue previously with headphone users or L/R speaker setups so I’ll double check it hasn’t reset our settings 😊

One of our video ideas to film this year is actually extruder makes! So hopefully we have a video like this coming soon ☺️
Great tips, thank you x❤
Pleasure ☺️❤️
This is a good prod to make me use my extruder… got it before Christmas but not been brave enough to use it yet!

@@myclaycocool! Can't wait for the new video! 🎉 As always 😊
I find Fimo pro impossible to extrude as it's so hard 😢
Yes, Fimo professional is a bit of a firm clay. Does it help to add softener? Do you have access to any other clays like Sculpey?

I have my volume all the way up and i can hardly hear you :/
I have no problems. I hear her well.

I could hear without headphones but not with them. Weird!
good vid but your vids are very quiet
Thanks for the feedback! I think we’ve found the issue in our settings, it's updated now so hopefully no more sound issues on future videos ☺️
@@myclayco awesome, glad to hear it, no pun intended lol.
@@zipzip8239 hehe made me giggle. Love a good pun :)
