Baking Polymer Clay - Everything you need to know to properly cure clay (& your FAQ's answered!)
Amazing! Thanks for the video. I had no idea that the cutters were made to order but what a great idea🤗 Btw, your cutters are better than all the others I’ve tried and it’s likely due to the attention you give your machines❤️
Seriously you did all that slicing prep work just to slice that with a machine?
Thank you for the peek behind the scenes! I've always been curious about how those printers work. Fascinating!
I love the insight into your business. I’ve been thinking about starting a at home business and getting an 3D printer. What would be your recommendations to help me get started. Right now I’m just a crafter in clay and resin. I’d also like to try my hand at miniatures, I love dollhouses. Anything you can help me get into the right direction I’d truly appreciate. I currently live in Colorado, USA. But I did truly enjoy watching the behind the business video. And I LOVE ALL of the products you sell. Especially the drill hole board. A very smart savvy person. Correction a very smart savvy business woman. Keep up the great job.
Thanks for the insight! As a woman in Tech Leadership, this makes my heart sing and proud to support other women using tech solutions and troubleshooting skills to make their business successful! No wonder with the care of your equipment, the My Clay Co cutters are my favourites ❣Go ladies! (lol, Princess Leia and Bob we thank you for your service and hotends 😆🤣)
Thank you
Pleasure 😇
I tried mixing my mica powder with my liquid clay and it kept clumping together. Any reason it's doing this?
Hmmm it might be that there’s something else in the mica powder you’re using. You can try adding a couple of drops of clay softener and see if that helps 😊
Well I haven't heard this song in a minute Thank you for playing it with your video😊
My pleasure, I had been singing it all morning and “suddenly I see” seemed kind of fitting for this short 😅
I have to clean mine every single time i use it. 😩
It can be a bit of a pain, I know! 😩 At least it will be in tip top shape!
So beautiful!! Can you show how you did the ombré effect with the 3 colors?
Yes, it’s called a skinner blend - we have a tutorial actually scheduled to film so should have it up in the next month ☺️
Absolutely beautiful, so neat too xx
Thanks so much 🥰
Where can I buy the drill guide from?
We have them on our website ☺️ www.myclayco.com.au/collections/drill-a-majig
Thanks so much, really helpful
My pleasure! 😊
Are you baking if youre ysing resin? If so are you baking with the bezels?
Yes, I bake with the bezel in, but always secure it after baking with either super glue or resin 😊
❤
🥰
Do you have a phone that is just for filming? I've asked so many people, and no one will answer me!
Nope, we just use our normal iPhones that we do everything on! We recently bought a dslr that we use for UA-cam video filming, but all of our shorts and overhead filming in our videos are just our normal phones ☺️
@myclayco thank you!!
Thanks a lot for your tip.. keep going. Wishes from Sri Lanka
You're welcome! Thanks so much 🥰🥰
Idea: when you put the torn pieces on the blue, put them slightly apart, you'll get a nice combination of light and dark blues
Might have to try that with the leftovers I have!
Thank you so much for your talent share. You are an excellent instructor! Cannot wait to start my own record and samples books. ❤❤❤
My pleasure! I love creating colour palettes - I hope you love creating your own! ❤️❤️❤️
I can’t hear anything your saying??
Sorry, it appears there are some issues with the sound on certain devices (particularly head phones) 🙈 we have sorted the issue for future videos - thank you for the feedback, it’s great that we’re aware it’s an issue on some devices so we can fix it!
I would love to know about the chameleon you show in the video, where did that come from did you make it? Thanks
The chameleon is one of our cutter design, you can find it on our website here 😊 www.myclayco.com.au/collections/animal-kingdom-collection/products/chameleon-cutter We used our Cameroon Chameleon pigment powder on it 😊 www.myclayco.com.au/collections/micas-and-pigment-powders
@myclayco Thank you! I want to get one
Where did you purchase the holder for phone? ( old lady here lol) Love your content 😊

What drill are you using?
It’s our Multi-Click Rotary Tool 😊 www.myclayco.com.au/collections/multi-click-rotary-tool-1
Very pretty ❤
Thank you 🥰
👍
🥰
👍
☺️❤️
Can you bake these clay first, then attach washi tape then UV resin?
Yes, you can! I have done it that way successfully ☺️
Wow I like how you did the middle
Thank you, yes I love the look of it too ☺️
What tool is that board that help you put holes in the earring
It’s our Drill-a-majig tool, we’ve just restocked them ☺️ www.myclayco.com.au/collections/drill-a-majig
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure ☺️
lol, my husband's a Sparky and when I showed him my cute little "micro cutters" , he laughed and told me what they really were. My next question was, "where's your toolbox?!!" ;)
Haha that's so funny! My dad is into electronics and had the same reaction 😂😂
Karla!! This is very timely, I was only thinking what would be the best way to texture and colour these. Thank you for another awesome video :)
Aw, my pleasure Rhy! Can’t wait to see what you make!
That's one classy paper clip
Hehe thank you 🥰🥐
Cute
Thank you 🥰
This is absolutely lovely! Thank you so much for sharing this technique!
Thanks so much! We have a tutorial on our channel if you want to give it a go yourself! 💕
Those are gorgeous! ❤ How does the lighter heat help in combination with the uv resin before putting it under the uv lamp?
Thank you 🥰 it pops all the little air bubbles on the surface ☺️
Wow. Our watercolors is the only paint you can use on polymer clay before baking? And what type of clay was that pearlescent sheet you laid over? Thanks
Ironically the watercolour technique actually uses acrylic paint! It just gives a watercolour effect 😊 we have a tutorial on our channel if you want to give it a go yourself! The sheet of clay I laid over it is translucent 😊
Is it really safe to put tile in the oven what about asbestos 😮I bought a couple more tiles in different shapes today but I might be afraid to put it in my baking oven maybe my toaster oven that I only use for crafting
I don’t think asbestos has been used in building materials since the 80s or 90s due to all the health issues that come from it. If you’re worried though you can always double check with the manufacturer 😊
K mart!?!😂
Do you have Kmart? It’s a super affordable department store so great for simple things!
I agree with the comment below. I always learn something new and your tutorials are so clear and detailed. Thank you so much for all the great tutorials you make !!!! I am loving those mini cutters! Super cute!
Thanks so much - lovely feedback like this means so much to us! ☺️ so glad you are loving them 🥰
You skip a piece of translucent between the gold and the white towards the top 😮
Oh whoopsie 🙈 hehe
💕💕💕💕💕
🥰🥰🥰
Ah-mazing!! I love it!!😊👏🏽❤️
Thank you!! ☺️❤️🌸
Awesome tutorial. I am learning so much from your channel. I love the way you are absolutely thorough and no rushing thru any important details. You are Amazing!! 🤗
Thanks so much 🥹 I try to make sure I cover everything that has caused me troubles along the way! So glad you’re enjoying our tutorials, thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
So I’ve been wanting to start my own small jewelry business since I always enjoyed creating. I recently purchased a couple of different useful tools to begin including sculpey premo. I do have a toaster oven that I use but it has been a struggle trying to find the right temperature to bake it and how long to bake it for. I tried baking it up 275 degree like the package said but it burned half way… any advice ? I also tried 130 degree and put some foil overtop to cover it but once it dried it broke 😭.
Oh no, that’s really frustrating! Sorry to hear about your baking struggles! Are you using an oven thermometer to check the temp is right? Ovens quite oven bake too hot or too cool and 10 degrees can make a difference! We have a tutorial on baking if you want to check it out 😊 ua-cam.com/video/ZoWPdtYkdCc/v-deo.htmlsi=B8VQtdUB4xmcmvlh
This was SUPER helpful, thank you!! Also, what kind of glue do you use for the posts?
So glad you found it helpful! We use Loctite superglue gel 😊
Ok, it's ten cents lady
🤔🙃 sorry not sure what you mean
muyy bueno 👍
Thank you! ☺️❤️
That's beautiful ❤️🫂.
Thank you 🥰
wow this is beautiful 😊❤
Thank you! I’m very happy with how croissant-like it turned out! ☺️🥐
