Only in Silent Assassin Suit Only. Don't get me wrong, Big A has had some immensely impressive accomplishments, but hes not the best runner atm.
@@SlowMoebius + Master. SASO is the hardest form of runs you can attempt in the game, let alone speedrunning. Is he the best? no. But he is realistically the founding father of hitman speedrunning, and thats the biggest accomplishment in of itself (and by founding father, i mean starting an actual community)

These videos are great. This introduced me to HITMAN speedrunning. Speedrunning isn't really my thing, but HITMAN is. When Atrioc was probably a wee baby, I silent assassin'd every level of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (pre-dating acheivements/trophies) and after 35 years of gaming Hitman 2 is still one of my favourite games of all time. But I wasn't into all the instinct stuff so I didn't play any for a long time after 2. The new trilogy feels way more like the old games vs Blood Money or Absolution did, imo.
Anyway, the point is it's real nice to see how this series has evolved and it's nice to see younger players doing this mind-bending shit. Really enjoying your content.
Do you guys ever do no-instinct challenges? You guys know the maps so well now you'd probably be fine without it. I play all HITMAN games without using it. I've never used it. (No mini map either.) Obviously, my runs take forever, but they're very satisfying.
was never into speedrunning or Hitman but I immensely enjoy watching Big A's Hitman content. This particularly had me pogging irl fr fr. amazing stuff.
One thing I like about this game: it's non linear restricted path. This is what GTA and red dead redemption USE to be like. As long as the mission was done youre good. Now they force you on a path, in a set vehicle, on a set route. This is awesome

I always imagine in speed runs that Agent 47 has psychic abilities and that's how he can tell when people are going to be places lol.
While the game might not be as popular for speedrunners as other games, it makes an excellent game for speedrunning. So many strategies and possibilities, precise timings and skill! It's great what Atrioc does for the speedrunning community of this game here and that he shines some more light on the game in a speedrun context.
It was a bit hard to follow along with everything condensed in 20 minutes though, and the often cuts between the runs, I might have to check out the full stream to get a better image of the map and routes, but the explanations were still great.

I’ve barely played the game but when I played sapienza I spent a hour exploring the map and found a lot of these weird things like the destroyable wall and balcony

I generally don't like speedruns, however, Hitman seems to be THE game to speedrun. The amount of different stuff that people come up with is just amazing.
I think that what I love about this the most, is that except from the 54s guy who "bugged" the game going to the roof with a fucking 3000IQ explosion of a propane tank, EVERYONE ELSE actually plays the game. They all use in-game mechanics, albeit cheesing it a bit, to complete their mission. This is why I never liked Elden Ring speedruns, "ziplining" and such. That's not part of the game.
