    Symptoms
In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
    Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
    Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
    Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
    Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
    When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

There are a few things for which we need to find a treatment for. Hair loss is one of them. It's not life threatening in itself, but it's a major life change for a lot of people.

Exactly what I'm going through. I feel like other people just want me to accept that i'm losing my hair just because they have accepted me losing my hair. It's my head and I've got to put up with it ffs lol. Great video by the way 👍

When I was 17 i was rocking curtains because they were in fashion. I was too unaware of a hair line issue of the receeding widows peak. My curtains were being styled through a fringe, since i never had a good straight hairline, always wondered why it never worked until now.

Thank you, this was great! Got me thinking about the stigma of a hair system that I had made up in my own mind. Had to ask myself why do I think its socially acceptable to wear hats all the time to cover my shaved head, but not what is essentially a hat that looks like my own hair?

I had the same thing happen to me as this guy with family and friends. Just brutal and they never really let up either even if I laughed it off. Continue to get nasty comments to this day. Did a few consultations with some of the top hair transplant centers in the US and they all said I was not a good candidate. That was devastating. Went the hat route + bald and it just sucks. Ready to try this I think at this point. Was nice to hear that someone went through the same thing I did though and I appreciate him coming out and talking about it.

Wow great video! I've personally tried most of those options except SMP and a hair transplant.
I tried the bald look but that was not for me; SMP just looks like a head tattoo on a lot of guys, no thx; Topix fibers only work if you have some hair and make a big mess when applying; propecia kills your libido and causes depression (real talk); minoxidil provides minimal results; hair transplants cost tens of thousands if you need multiple treatments and have no guarantee of working and the weird comb over never looks good so I just continue to wear a hat for now.

What is his unit density and does he use glue or tape and how long does it last?
That looks so amazing best short hair length system ever
I am literally gonna do it in a week so hope i can replicate it but i have thick 1 year long growth on my sides so may try the long hair look for a bit on the first unit

Hey I’m andrew from the video! So I have the Ares French lace system from lavivid and I do use tape but for poly I used glue. I think bonding is a preference but they both definitely have their pros and cons. I’d personally recommend trying both to see which you prefer!
