A chat with a friend on 088 cranks turned up some interesting things. A customer of his a australian hard wood cutter that makes fence posts, all his saws were broken down so he was trying to make 3 saws out of six as parts are not available with this virus. They come with 2 different condrods the normal ones had failed but the ones with the scolloped oil dams were all okay he thinks these are the ones made in Brazil. Then he said have a look at this he put the crank in a drill and turned it around slowly and there was a quite a large wobble in the crank. A chat to the Germans told him that 7 thou was acceptable. Because he was making good cranks out of bad ones they had to be pressed out, with time and effort and adjusting the counter weights he managed to get them with a lot less wobble. The end product was a smoother running saw and a extra 500 rpm. That was a week ago and the saws have not returned. He hope they will last till new parts arrive when ever that will be.

Filling that case up under the transfers is making way tighter case volume ,you ever think about trying to make crank stuffers i think they call them ,where the crank looks like a full circle ,tighter the the case volume is the more air goes up the transfers right wich means more power
