It's all been so traumatic. Especially for empathic people.

Your comment explains a lot. I' hadn't identified as an empath before, but I think, after watching a few videos on the subject, that I am. This might also explain why not having my personal space boundaries honored in public situations can be so challenging for me. Thanks for sharing this.

Hello. Thank you for this video and describing the different levels. I’m devastated by the election. I live in California and have been researching a move to France. I’ve watched Adrian Leeds videos, you and others. I am now concerned about social security and the new administration. There are several variables to consider but I want to thank you again for your work and your empathetic nature. I am hoping to make the move but it has to be done at the right time! Have a good weekend.

Thank you Patricia. This video did bring me comfort. I've been going through exactly what you describe as have my friends and family. I've had to check in a couple of friends daily because they are so depressed about the election results and the days ahead that I've been worried about them. I think we are all helping each other and it does bring comfort to know that so many of us feel the same. Otherwise, it would be so easy to lose faith in humanity.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how this video would be received. It's comments like yours that make me know I did the right thing in publishing it. Your last statement "otherwise it would be so easy to lose faith in humanity" rings so true for me. Helping others and seeing others help others helps me keep faith in humanity. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you Patricia. I’m channeling my energy around my house, myself and my dog. I have been to France many times over the years and had hoped to live there. Yesterday I booked my flight to France January 9 to 31. Today i booked some of my lodgings. My exploration of places to live with a long term visa is beginning.
    All best. Joseph.

Like many people, I'm pretty low energy but also confused. I feel like I've gotten back to non-judgmental thoughts while apathetic about pretty much everything and also reaching acceptance. The majority has spoken and wants this country to be everyone for themselves, so I guess I was wrong for caring about others, especially the less fortunate. It will only make me unhappy if I think about what is happening & will happen to them. I've almost completed the research I needed to do to feel comfortable enough to make my move abroad (although honestly, I'll never be 100% comfortable with it) and just need my work schedule to cooperate before I come scouting and finally pull up my own drawbridge.

The elephant in the room is exactly right. I recorded the video earlier this week. I watched it a few times while editing it and creating subtitles for it and it and it seemed like exactly what I needed to share, and yet I hesitated to publish it. I was unsure of how it would be received. Your comment, and those of others, let's me know I did the right thing in sharing it. Thank you.

A lot of Americans are feeling fear and anxiety about staying in America and being exposed to a very dangerous extreme regime. There are so many factors that will be impacted. People’s healthcare, personal safety, personal freedoms and their financial security are all in danger. And many people can’t afford to leave the country. Some people can’t leave because they have children, grandchildren or elderly parents to consider. And those of us who can leave ,rather stay and fight. Essentially they are going to be the first line of defense in dealing with the autocratic racist political crisis now facing the country.
There is no sugar coating this situation. This is going to be a very difficult time for America and the rest of the world will be affected by America becoming a dictatorship. I would tell everyone try not to be too emotional about this sad sad situation and keep adding your energy and voice to this crisis. We will get through it. And if you need to leave America to protect your own mental health then do that. I’ve been planning a trip to Europe for quite some time and the elections in November hasn’t changed that. Am I glad to be leaving America? Yes but not because of trump. I wouldn’t leave because of him. It’s just a bonus.

And all for a reality tv show host…?
Everyone of us who supported Kamala are doing the work now of figuring out where we are as a nation (trumps appointments increase concern daily). We need to figure out where we are headed and what our role can and should be. Anyone who decides to move abroad is making a hard choice and will be very sad to do so. I wish us all courage and peace.

Thank you for making this video. This was very helpful and empowering. Last week I got stuck in a shocked, depressed and "freeze" response (as Pete Walker labels it) for about 3 days.... I was toying with the idea of moving out of the US in 2021 but now I'm putting that plan into action instead of being staying depressed, feeling hopeless and scarred. Moving abroad is nothing to take lightly or rush into since it is a life changing decision and brings about it's out set of many challenges but sometimes it is necessary for those who are able to do so. Turning that energy into empowered movement forward towards my goal.

Patricia, this is truly a most helpful video for me and many many others who feel as you do about election results. My emotions dropped to the lowest level, and like you, I moved to the ‘anger’ level, and I seemed to be stuck there. Anyway, you are a very special and courageous lady to be led to make this video. Thank you so much.❤

This had a 9/11 grief energy to it. I was shocked because there was so much energy and excitement for Kamala. The USA will never be the same after this, IMO. Trump scared them with pictures of immigrants storming the border and transvestites and then offered them easy fixes to their problems. The citizens should have known better and the consequences will be huge.

Hello Patricia, my reasons for a possible move overseas have nothing to do with the election, and everything about a life change. I think now there's too much "I'm leaving the US!!" and hardly any thought into an actually moving to a foreign country. People need to think (and study) really hard before they even think of leaving, and your videos would be a great help to them!

Bonjour. Thank you for this video. Processing challenges, personal and national, is important. We too are at a loss for words to describe the election. How could we see the world so differently than other Americans, including family members, relatives, co-workers, and old friends? The deep sense of loss, like the death of a loved one, is the closest experience I have to compare recent events. In addition, the interrupted sale of our condo is now pausing our plans to travel to France where dialogue is engaging. Another opportunity to process challenges. Our friends in Ukraine are processing day challenges, so I must put our setback in perspective. Thank you. Dean et Cindy

I would definitely be interested in going deeper with this in an online workshop, if you create one. I am now making plans for how to make my life fuller, more occupied, more distracted, more joyful here in France. I totally expected that moving out of the US would make me care less about what is happening in the US, but it hasn't.

  • @ShortSale13
    @ShortSale13 2 дні тому

Thank you for this video. I've been watching your channel and find you very inspiring. I think you are right, it feels like a death. I'm brushing up on my French and looking to move as soon as I can. I have no desire to engage in the US anymore, but I am determined to make a better life for myself elsewhere. It's not just racism in the US that's a problem. Hatred of women is growing, and I believe the speed of that growth will accelerate. As a country, we voted for Obama twice, but both times we had qualified capable women candidates, we did not.
