I had a go on the Trigon at my local shop Rubadub Glasgow and yes those oscillators sound really great I didn’t listen to many of the presets in the shop and just spent an hour making sounds. It’s really easy to make great sounds on this synth. Just 1 catch… it’s 3k but compare this to the of price a new guitar of similar quality, it’s a bargain compared to a new Les Paul. Great sounds Great playing thanks for posting.
I feel like this synth has gotten a bit of a bad rap! I think your work here proves that once again Dave Smith was a genius! Thanks for your continued amazing work! This does NOT sound like a Prophet or an Oberheim, it has its own thing, those 3 oscillators are so powerful and bright! Thanks once again!
The aesthetic turns me off so much that I haven't even given it a listen until now. Not surprisingly, it sounds pretty great here! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that blonde finish is just awful.
Agree I am still scratching my head why they have yet to offer a dark walnut kit. I wonder if the OB6 wood kit is interchangable with this, I prefer those thinner side panels..@@Reyescult
All three of the “6” series boards have a similar sound. Any one will do most of the sounds you need of such a synth. As for the wooden finish, take it apart and refinish the wood with a nice green wood stain.
Question? Would it be wise to trade the Pro 3 to get a Trigon 6? I have a Pro 2 & 3, Prophet 6, Prophet Rev2, OB-6, Prophet 12, Deepmind 12, Hydrasynth, Iridium, Mininova, Modx..
Wow, that’s a lot of great Synths you’ve got. I have both the Pro 3 and Trigon, but I personally would go for the Trigon as I just prefer polysynths and the Trigon is quite different from the p6/OB6
Great sounds, Jamie. How do you get the stereo placement of notes and the stereo effects, especially noticeable in the first three sounds? Is it a voice-panning feature or something else?
Jamie, this is the best I have heard this synth sounding! The string machine sound “Trigon Strings” is strikingly similar to ARP Omni why do you think so? Do the oscillators / filters have similar roots? (I suppose I could look it up if course..but what do you think?)
These patches are great, really enjoying playing with them. Somehow managed to snag one cheaper than everywhere else. I guess the dealer didn’t get the price rise memo since the p6 and ob6 were also at the older prices. That aside I feel like this is getting a bit of a bad rap, I think it sounds great, it does subtle pretty nicely too. But I spose that’s all subjective.
Dude could make a empty box with rubber bands sound great. Top work as usual

Extraordinary sounds. Trigon could be my Moog One's buddy in the future.
Outstanding, Jamie! Thank you!

Suena maravillosamente sublime!

@Reyescult I'm glad the looks are keeping hipsters who care more about looks than sounds away wish they made it uglier.
@@Redneck_Wizard I wish was true but I just checked on Thomann and it's not available.
This sounds soo good! I really wish it had more voices and five octaves.
Sick! Sounds great
Thanks Paul!
Sounds great!
The Module is coming….! Now Trigon is on my radar!
It’s a brilliant Synthesizer, loved making the and for it

I am going to block you because now that I heard these insane sounds I must have a Trigon 6. 😀 Awesome stuff bud.

Thanks Paul, yes there's definitely Pan Spread on them.
It's nicely implemented.

Thanks, yeahs it a very underrated Synth and it takes a bit of time to get the best out of it, but once it clicks…then it just make beautiful Sounds.
