    Wow, I just bought those patch....oh man, I feel so emotional and creative. Honestly the best patch I bought for the P10, I'm only at 416 and it's been 30 minutes lol.

    Definitely picking these up. I dusted off my P10 and got the latest firmware and it's pretty amazing.

    These sound incredible, makes me want a Prophet 5 so bad for that thickness. I have Super 6 (with your patches that I love) but I think I need both synths lol

    So creamy! I am using your MoogOne soundset all the time :-). Having the experience with other "super stereo" pieces from the Sequential family on top of that, do you see the mono audio of the Prophet5 as a limitation?

    • @scottmcauleysounds
      @scottmcauleysounds  Рік тому +4

      Hi, I’m glad your still enjoying the Moog One sounds! :)
      Mono wise I actually found it quite freeing if I’m honest. More focussed on the sound itself rather than how it sits in the stereo field. I run my gear through UA Apollo, so for me to add chorus and reverb is easy. I guess for users who have different set ups and or play live a lot it’s not so much a limitation, but will most definitely require some sort of chorus or efx pedal if the wide sound is what they want.
      Oddly even in mono with no effects the P10 is so Rich, it feels stereo (if that makes sense)

      @@scottmcauleysounds Hi Oreano! Curious on your UA Apollo setup. Do you patch the synths in one by one according to what you use or do you have a patch bay or mixer in front, in case what kind?
      Personally not fond of having to turn on a computer, but need to find an efficent and good sounding way to hook synths up for recording without creeping down on the floor under my desk to repatch. 😉

      @@timosaruh9232 Hi, I run one Apollo 8P, One Apollo 8, One Apollo Twin, Apollo Satellite Quad, along with two Focusrite OctoPre via ADAT and all clocked by Wordclock which gives me a total of 32 inputs.

    These patches sound amazing. Would you mind revealing what chorus and what reverb you used in the making of this video? Thanks!

    • @scottmcauleysounds
      @scottmcauleysounds  Рік тому

      Hi Byron thanks for the kind comment. I used UAD studio D plugin and a touch of Specular tempus. You can hear the first five patches more or less dry (no chorus and a barely audible touch of reverb) in the link I sent on Steve Hunt’s query above :)

    • @ByronHadley1
      @ByronHadley1 Рік тому +2

      @@scottmcauleysounds Ahh, yes - the Specular Tempus. That's been on my want list for quite a while now. I may have to look into that again, but my most recent purchase of an Alesis Andromeda A6 has unfortunately put a lot of my pedal wants on indefinite hold. :-( Thanks so much for your reply. By the way, I have one of @Steve Hunt 's (HI STEVE!) LFE boxes and I can tell you first hand that it is one amazing creation. It is very deep and the possibilities with it are endless. I highly recommend it!

    Sorry, not sure what I’m listening to here. A bit of reverb is ok but the chorus makes me unsure what the patches really sound like.

    • @scottmcauleysounds
      @scottmcauleysounds  Рік тому +2

      Hi Steve. The chorus really just gives them some stereo spread, I used a setting with minimal depth. Mainly to keep the demo transparent and also keep it interesting for listeners. Any phasing/flanging you hear is from the oscillators beating. I can easily do a mono demo once the second video is out if there is a demand for it. :)

    • @scottmcauleysounds
      @scottmcauleysounds  Рік тому +2

      This will let you hear the first 5 sounds from this reel with zero chorus, minuscule touch of reverb (barely audible). The Toto like Brass is completely dry. I insist on transparency buddy, bought too many custom banks myself that sound nothing like their demos.
      Hope this helps you and anyone else with same concerns. - www.dropbox.com/s/u8h5f76cn0i2o5b/P10%20Promethean%20first%205%20no%20chorus.mp3?dl=0

      @@stevehunt2125 no worries, and thanks I really did try to keep the chorus and verb to just a level that it only spreads the sound rather than modulates it etc hopefully the mp3 will help anyone with same question. Feedback is always good! I appreciate it! So thank you.
