That was a crummy way to end what was otherwise another great week for you. When I saw your 2nd tweet about being in the closet I hoped you would call the management and or police. It's not safe for anyone to knock on doors when you don't know what's behind it besides the loud music. Hopefully that's done and Sir Oliver is back to his old self.

You should NEVER knock on someone's door to ask them to turn their music down. You pay rent so that you can have the manager speak for you. The manager should ( must ) not tell the neighbor who complained about their noise. That is what they get paid to do. If the management DOESN'T stop the noise YOU can sue the management for depriving YOU of the RIGHT to the PEACEFUL ENJOYMENT OF YOUR HOME. Trust me...I've done it.

I seriously don't understand why she has been called "The ugliest woman in the world". I hate even saying it, but I know she already heard about it before and got past it. But seriosuly, does anyone here ACTUALLY believe she's the so-called "ugliest woman in the world"? I don't see it. Even though she's tinier than she should be, it makes her extremely cute and sweet, and you can tell she has a beautiful strong heart. Her eyes are pretty (blind eyes are beautiful too). Who tf who say something like that about her? Anyone who is THAT judgmental is the UGLIEST person in the world, inside and out.
It's so hard not to turn bitter in this society. People are rude when all you are is kind, and it's hard to fight the bitterness wanting to come out. But DO NOT turn bitter. If you can show kindness to a cold arrogant heart, you might just start to begin to melt that cold ice around it with your warm kindness and begin a domino effect. People never forget an act of kindess, and same goes for an act of hurt. Choose what kind of person you'll be remembered as. I'd want to die with people knowing me as kind instead of hateful and not showing up at my funeral (or shitting on my grave).

Hi, Lizzie. No, you're not overreacting. Rude people are self-centered people, which means they want what they want when they want it, and consideration for/toward others is not part of their DNA...Now, about Ollie. I used to petsit, and stressed out, anxious animals came with the job. In fact, the biggest (and most challenging) part of my job was getting/keeping the critters calm and helping them to feel safe and secure in the absence of their humans. What you did for Ollie was spot on. Especially the closet escape. Dogs are den animals; that's why they usually respond well to crate training. They need a "safe" space where they can retreat when life gets a little too loud, or frantic, or crowded. Since it seems unlikely your neighbors will be moving any time soon, I'd suggest you leave the guest closet door ajar at all times so Ollie can retreat to a space where he feels safe. Leave all the pillows and blankets, and make sure there are things in there that hold your scent. A pillow case or a T-shirt you've worn are both good options. What Ollie experienced was, for lack of a better term, a doggie panic attack. Comforting him in any way possible is the best medicine. However, there may be times (for my animals, it was all the firecrackers being set off around the Fourth of July) when some actual real medicine, as in a prescription, is called for. Ask your vet for a script for Ollie for a medicine called Ace. Ace is its shortened name; I forget its very long full name. It is, essentially, a sedative for cats and dogs. Not a "knock 'em out" sedative; just something to ease the sharp, overwhelming way the animals experience something. Remember, dogs have supersensitive hearing. A noise that we find annoying can seem intolerable to a dog and truly antagonize his nervous system. Keep several Ace tablets on hand and, if walking Ollie, giving him treats, cuddling him, offering him his favorite foods or holding him isn't helping him, then Ace might be called for. I usually gave my animals a half dose to start with. If that didn't help the pooch or kitty within half an hour, then I'd give the rest of the dose. The prescription is written according to the dog's weight, just FYI. It is the medicine most often prescribed to help cats and dogs relax during moves or car rides. Mind you, I'm not suggesting you fill him with drugs every time he gets a wee anxious. Try everything else first and if after all that, he's still panicking, use the Ace. Good luck, and congrats on the movie.

This comment was never intended to be rude nor was it said in a rude manner. I've watched a lot of Lizzie's videos and from what I have gathered she really enjoys wearing makeup. My comment was only a suggestion - which was not a rude one. She can either take it or leave it since it is her own (in this case) makeup choices.

I think your reaction was completely valid! I am also a young woman who lives alone and any type of loud noises coming from another apt kind of freak me out (unless you know, it's someone moving in or w/e). My neighbor and her boyfriend are always yelling at each other and I hate it. Luckily at the apt I'm at now there aren't a ton of parties or anything. Maybe the random one, but yeah. I can understand the whole not feeling safe thing when there are a bunch of chaotic sounds outside.
Bug I have those too :P God they are annoying. It's okay to have fights, no relationship is perfect, but don't take an apartment together if you can't handle it peacefully, cause if you'll be yelling all the time, it's gonna disturb everybody else in the block, which shouldn't happen.

One time there was a party above my apartment... it went on for like 13 hours so we just called the cops! They wouldnt stop being soooo LOUDDD!!! We told them and others told them multiple times to be quiet. :(
I know such situation. I work security in a high rise apartment complex. Especially on the weekends, I have to attend numerous noise complaints. I give them two warnings, and if they don't abide, I call the cops. Moreover, I forward my report to management.

Hi, I'm new to your channel. I have to say you're the definition of brave. You fought all your life just to feel accepted by people even though it's hard for people to accept you for who you are. You're such an inspiration to me and other people. Keep on doing what you're doing. Eventually people will accept you for who you are. Even though you're different, I don't see you as a different person. You're still a person even if you have a disability or whatever else people have.

Ugh, this is why I hate apartments! My old apartment we swore that the people above us were clog dancers. It was so annoying! We also could hear them get it on at night. We used to call them Gaston and Daphne (her name was Ashley but through the floor it sounded like he was saying Daphne) and Gaston cause he sounded like a big burley man. We used to listen in on them fighting too. It was annoying but it was kinda entertaining too. :)

I don't mess with parties or feel bad anymore; I call the cops way sooner. It's unacceptable and luckily they have strict noise laws in my current city. You are not crazy! My dog also has noise anxiety and it is scary to watch him go through it! You did the right thing. :) Also I love that head band style on you!
