For me Look Up promises to be an unmissable event for Ringo Starr fans and country music lovers. Carried by a team of exceptional talents and fueled by decades of passion for this musical genre, this album for me stands out as a new reference in Ringo's discography. More than fifty years of career, it proves that he is still capable of surprising me and evolving.
Starr’s return to the world of albums is very welcomed! This album started as an EP, but Starr was enjoying himself so much that he came up with an album that is extremely well made. The production is brilliant and the songs are so strong that repeated listening becomes almost mandatory. Look Up has the sense and feeling of an older album, yet is fresh and exciting at the same time. The pacing is perfect and the end result is one of Starr’s strongest albums in his career. I feel like a broken record, but Starr just keeps getting better and better.
Being a big Beatles fan for many years, I can't hide my impatience to discover this album, thank you very much for this unboxing, very happy that you are back my friend !
As a prelude to this new album, Ringo Starr has put online a first song taken from it and named Time On My Hands. A nostalgic ballad, where the warm voice of the octogenarian resonates like velvet, and which draws its refrains from the imperishable themes of heartache and the bite of past feelings.
Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney are the last great dinosaurs of music and especially the last members of my favorite group of all time the Beatles and this new solo album by Ringo Starr is a pure breathtaking marvel
One aspect of the Beatles’ music that attracted British radio and record companies in their early days was its strong country overtones. All four were fond of American country and rockabilly, but it was drummer Ringo Starr, the band’s latest recruit, who would become most closely associated with these genres. His renditions of Carl Perkins’ “Honey Don’t,” the Johnny Russell-penned Buck Owens hit “Act Naturally,” and his original “Don’t Pass Me By” reinforced this connection. After the band broke up, his second solo LP would be 1970’s “Plenty of Blues,” an all-country album recorded in Nashville.
Ringo Starr, the famous drummer of the Beatles, returns with a country album called "Look Up". At 84, he reinvents himself and shares his passion for country. The album, born from a meeting with T-Bone Burnett, contains 11 songs, including the first single "Thankful".
I can't wait to experience this country album live because I'm going to see him in concert at the prestigious Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on January 14 and 15, 2025.
In this album Ringo Starr rediscovers his country loves with Look-up. A tasty album enhanced by the work of T-Bone Burnett, a leading producer of the American scene and apostle of Americana.
He is one of the survivors of the most iconic rock group, the one we know less about. Because unlike Paul, John or George, it is more difficult to spontaneously quote a Ringo song, despite a discography already rich in twenty references.
I must admit that I listened to this Ringo Starr album with my new little Lucky, I found it fabulous, there's just the end that I didn't hear well because of Marley, that kid who was yelling at the end of the album...
Don’t hesitate to subscribe for more content, thank you for your support :)

Look Up dedicated entirely to country music, a genre that has always held a special place in my heart.

With pleasure :)
What I feel in this new album is that he doesn't just sing: he also plays drums on all the tracks of the album, adding his inimitable rhythmic touch.

Ringo Starr is really laid back in the country genre he is very comfortable and these 11 songs breathe pure American country music
